I really needed this video today. Today I was depressed and really anxious about where and house to purchase a small place for myself. I appreciate the Biblical wisdom and forget to ask God for help and wait on him. My sincere thanks.🌷
wow, seems like the nation is moving! we moved from los angeles to western kentucky 22 yrs ago. will NEVER go back to city living. who knew the country life would suit us so well. love my hands in the dirt!!!
My son went to basic training at Fort Leonard Wood. He told me that he trained in the Missouri Ozarks. He did say the ticks were really bad! Awesome advice for anyone interested in homesteading!

We moved to the Ozarks from Florida about 4 months ago and you aren’t kidding about the rocky soil. We had to make raised garden beds for planting our food. We found our property on Zillow. Best move we’ve ever made. Great video!
Lovin the videos. My wife and I are fixing to take an early retirement and move from S California to Kentucky. We have done much the same as you, except we are going to sell our house here first and live in our RV while we house hunt for the next place God would have us. So looking forward to getting back to country life.
Could consider renting your current home and rent in the area you plan to move to. You really don't know what your getting into till you've lived in the area for a while. Don't forget to consider things like access to helth care. In TN and Arkansas most specialized care are only available in large cities. We also looked at weather conditions, from tornadoes to hurricanes, to earth quakes to air/soil quality like radon. To living near a nuclear plant... Even your insurance cost. We live 3 miles from a fire station, but are considered high risk for complete loss of home, so they charge us more. Look at land and grocery taxes. Even if you pay cash for a property always pay for an inspection, to much risk without it... If you are wanting to homestead look at living outside city limits... Less rules and restrictions. Have a source of water on the property be it a pond and, yr round creek, or stream, or river...
Yea, we sold a farm in Arkansas and bought land in Colorado. At first we considered retiring to the farm in Arkansas but there was nothing but farm land around there, we had to drive over an hour to the nearest hotel and almost that far to the nearest store that wasn't also a gas station. We had been leasing the farm so it was conventionally farmed that meant no organic growing could be done on it without hundreds of thousands of dollars in soil reclamation and years waiting to plant the first seed. The lady who bought it wanted it for a hunting property so she didn't care about the soil.
My adult son and I purchased 7 acres of grid. The nearest power pole is at least 1.5- 2 miles away. We have been here 4 weeks. We have been clearing dead brush piles for fire wood. Collecting the useable logs and debarkng them for future use. Started to collect pallets for constructing a tiny house for the winter. This has been my dream for years! God has moved us around for the last 3 yrs. It got to the point where we could not afford to rent in Mi. Any longer. Found this property by following an online realtor for several yrs. Small down payment that was cheaper than a month's rent. Smaller monthly payments for 15 years. This truly off grid pioneer living. Cutting fire wood with an axe, and a machete. ( Don't have a gas powered chainsaw yet) Up at 4:30 - 5:00am It starts to get light out at about 5:30 am Go out start a fire, make a pot of coffee. Cowboy style. No perky perk, or dripping drip. Just water in the pot 2 big Tbsp of coffee let it boil till the foam goes away. Breakfast is meat and fruit or bread. Go to bed at about 8pm tired! We haul our water from town 10 miles away. Right now we have to buy all of our food from a local groc. store. Or travel 30 miles to the nearest city in Arkansas to shop at a Wal-Mart. YUCK!!! I bought my piece of heaven on earth at 2:00 am. Paid with my debit card! God has truly blessed us. I have never seen so many rocks on one piece of land in my whole 61 yrs. Ha, ha, ha!! Not much topsoil here will have to haul a lot of cow manure to compost for gardening. In between harvesting all of these free ROCKS! The views!! The rocks! The stars at night!! Oh My Goodness!! Thank God for all of his blessings!!!
I realize this is older but we're going to be moving to Missouri in a few months and it was worth revisiting this video. It's hard to find and jump on property before it's gone. We've gleaned so much information from this. Thank you!
Hi Simply Jan! We also bought land in Missouri. One thing not mentioned in this video is using Google Earth. Once we found a property, we checked it out on Google Earth. We also had videos to reference. It's not easy to travel during the coronavirus situation. I'm already making plans for our land!
I'm even more excited that I stumbled on to your Channel about 2 months ago and have been watching regularly particularly because just now I had to pause the video to make this comment my excitement lies in the fact that you are giving God credit and acknowledging God in your plans and trusting him to reveal and unfold to you his plan for you. Reminds me of the scripture that says man devises his plan but God directs his step. Thank you guys so much for everything that you do to share your journey with us and anyone that is following God in their Journey is of great interest to me. Now if the Lord can only bring around a homesteading mindset God fearing God pursuing man into my world so that I can leave the city and go to the homestead too... I'm still hoping but I'm 58 years old my hope is a challenge to maintain. Pray for me.
Lightsobrite, why wait for a man? Are you fairly healthy? A partner is nice but not necessary. I'm a 61 yr. old god fearing disabled man. God moved my adult son and I here from Eastern Mi.. It's a lot of work every day. But we are so happy! Can hardly wait for next spring! Get my chickens and Guineas. Get my greens garden started. We miss fresh peas, and green beans, and tomatoes! Well it's almost 9pm, sitting in my truck when I should be in bed with my big dog. He keeps my feet warm! But likes his blanket on cold nites. Keep praying. God will answer you. Jesse
I have about a dozen tabs open when searching for a homestead. Zillow, LandandFarm, Google maps, Google Earth to get an idea of elevation/terrain, and an FCC map for high-speed/no-cap internet areas. I check Gmap for the closest Lowe's/Home Depot, Feed store, Hospital, Urgent Care, and then less important things like Restore, Goodwill, Costco, Movie Theater or amusements. My biggest problem is I see the potential in everything! I can look at a carport and see it being a home :P Most important to me is the land. But YES I trust that God will provide my family with abundant sacred space when the time is right. I would also suggest getting a pre-qualification letter so when the right place does appear - you don't lose it to someone else. And OMG - I would be freaking out about those ticks. I'd have to cut out the part of the video where I was running around stripping all my clothes off. Lime's disease is soooo scary!! God Bless you guys for sharing and keeping us all inspired xox
We are moving from Idaho from our 3500 sq ft 7 bedroom subdivision house to kentucky to a 5 acre homestead in a 3 bedroom lol, I'm so excited because we will be debt free from what we made off our house here where the market is high, i cant wait!!! To many people are scared to take the leap. the best advice I have is dont overthink it just do it! My friend has been searching for years and wants everything to be perfect and shes been misrable for those years in a place she hates, when we just take the jump and go with the flow.
Good advice. I also believe you must pray for guidance. I prayed and the next morning, a property I wanted became available again. I also received money I didn't expect. Next , I got in touch with the owner of the place and paid for the property. You R right, some people over think this. I lost a chance to buy this property once, I wasn't gonna lose it again. If it turns out not to be perfect. I'll work the land anyway. It'll still be my land!
Im so inspired by your videos. We are in Cave Creek AZ wanting to move to the Ozark’s in Arkansas. We are looking and looking to find the best home for us. God Bless!
Great advice!! Spent three years looking before we bought and then it took 9 months to sell our house before we could move. But the wait was so worth it to be living the dream! Blessings to you!
Love the advice. We made the trip here 4 years ago and have never regretted it. God has blessed us richly not only with our neighbors and friends but with our family moving here as well. We live near Houston Missouri and get to Springfield on occasions to shop the big stores. Loved your talk on the heating of your green house. Hope to hear more on your adventure here.
Thank you for the video. I've been looking for a property where I can disconnect and become as self sufficient as possible. I pray each night that God will lead me to where he wants me. I know he's working in his own perfect timing and I am being patient. I pray God continues to bless your family and homestead.
I just had to revisit this video, my husband and I have been to Missouri 3 times now. We are using a realtor that worked with my sister in Arizona, she moved to Missouri over a year ago. She has been awesome, this last trip we found a place that we fell in love with, it needs a lot of work, but has great bones, the price for the house is way out of line though, we made an offer and were rejected. I am trying so hard not to get discouraged. Thank you two for putting these videos out here. I am walking away encouraged. God Bless you both!!!
THIS is the information I’ve been wanting to hear. I watched it out of order when I saw it. You confirmed what I had already thought but wasn’t sure about so thank you!
My family and I planning on moving this February to the Ozark we currently live in Gilbert AZ, is nice to see you guys doing good, hoping for the best.
We moved from Michigan to Texas, we bought our own Uhaul truck and resold after the move, and we essentially payed for gas to move. The Uhaul paid for itself. But we took a risk. It was easier to resell in a large city.
That's an awesome. So what part of Texas did you guys picked? We are thinking of relocating to Texas but not sure what areas would be great for homesteading. Can't wait to get out of southern California.
We tagged listings we liked on those apps, printed a great big map of Southern Missouri at Staples, bought an RV, sold our home in Texas, lived in RV and traveled all over for 2 months looking at those properties (and new ones that met our requirements) removed ones from the map that didn’t meet our expectations and refused to settle! We love our new place, the retirement, and debt free also!! And we are only 30 minutes east of where y’all picked!! It is a beautiful area - but yes, rocks and ticks we could do without!! Lol
That must be a culture shock for you to move from Arizona to the Ozarks. I’m home studying and have a ranch in the Ozarks of Arkansas just south of you. I moved here not knowing a soul.
I'm coming to Ava to look at a property next week. Thanks so much for the video. Second time watching it. Prayers for your daughter. Hope she is doing better.
In wanting to stick to Pa.. we got a couple days at 105 was too much for me..Glad I saw this video to see what may be out there. Glad you found a place that is nice. Love returning for more.
Thank your for the encouragement. We have been to your area and decided to move there. Still searching for the perfect property for us. Your right the waiting is hard.
Inspirational talking , especially both are God fearing persons.that is very special in the life . Both are you having a good energy too .God Bless You
Faith F we're looking @ Colorado to get away from our pain issues and relieve some of the autoimmune diseases we have. We live in Missouri... but in the Saint Louis area... we're over this place and ready to get outta here... Hopefully sooner than later. Xoxo
Faith F I know my sister just moved there and she is fighting the ticks bad with three children and a cat and a dog.... they literally look like the ticks are falling from the sky.... reminds me of when I lived in Ohio... don’t miss ticks, but it is so pretty there
@ Rushunlimited, we are in Colorado. Be aware of the altitude problems if you already have health problems. We are actually moving when hubby retires from military. I’m from Midwest originally came here healthy and have developed health problems most likely due to the high elevation. We’ve been here 5 years but at almost 8,000 ft elev is too much. I hope this helps. 🙂
GREAT VIDEO AND I AM A MISSOURIAN ALSO. YOU ARE 100% where I live in a Farmington area and some row crops but mostly pasture land. ROCK ROCKS are In allot of areas you cant dig a hole 3 inches deep. Real estate people just want to sell it and make their money .. Another big thing is water well that can be very costly. About 10 miles from my home is solid granite you might drill 300 to 1000 feet and no water or you might hit water and its just a pocket of water in between two ledges and you will run out of water. So be careful as you mention on your video. Another thing is crime breakins and hospitals are they good or bad some in my area are horrible and churches Many things to look at and be careful very careful when buying land in any state. my home is In Farmington Mo
New to Mo. Southern Ozark County. Have visited 2 churches. The A G. had a pastor that screamed his sermon! The Baptist has a wet hippocrit for a pastor Beware of Wolves in Sheep's Clothing! They profess his name but deny the spirit there of. When a starving man asks for food, do you give him a stone? They did!
Hey guys! Welcome to the neighborhood. We live just a little ways from y'all down in Maysville, AR. If you ever need anything just holler. We raise and sell grass finished beef.
Love this! We have been working on our home to sell over a year! I fell for Missouri after going through Ava a few summers ago. We are so happy to have you showing the area! We hope to be relocated by summers end!
So glad you mentioned God's timing, and God's will. My daughter moved her family from California to Michigan after living in California all her life. I have 3 years until I retire. Lord willing, I too, will be able to relocate to Michigan. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain your journey.
This is something we've been thinking about for years. Saw someone's videos recently where they took up a used RV to travel nearly every state. My husband has worked for 20 years so I can stay at home and care for & teach the kids = no vacations, so the idea of taking a year to see the country & hopefully fall in love for our forever home is so very tempting! & yes, that idea of one spouse taking quick, cheap recon trips to locations also occurred to us before we started toying w/ the RV idea. I love watching homesteading videos these days - dream building, but also seeing a more realistic side to it. Thanks for all of your videos & work!!
Appreciate your information I am exactly where what you’re talking about it’s a little frustrating because the prices are so high and I’m trying to make a move trying to save as much money as possible to make a move that is debt free, this is challenging but I also am a believer and I put my trust in God‘s leading and guiding for me in my household to find the right place to make a move God bless you both and may you prosper as your soul prospers
Great info..took me 3 years. And the good thing more money saved in that time. Patience is a CHALLENGE. But I knew if it was meant to be then it will be God Willing. We looked at a few places that yikes. Photos are deceiving. Great info y'all
You are right about a realtor being a sells person. We explained to a realtor in Montana exactly what we wanted, made a trip to look at properties, and not one was anything like we wanted. We are now in Oklahoma. Just bought a home, and was surprised at the number of people, who are buying homes, site unseen. That is so scary.
Amen. Trying to decide whether to stay in area or move 6 hours away. No matter what prayer will lead to God's sovereign will! Beautiful couple. God bless you.
Thank you so much for making this video. My spouse and I plan on having a small homestead after we retire in a few years. We want to move very far away, bc we currently live in a very pricy real estate state. So, we will have to find land in a low-cost real estate state and have a small mortgage loan or none at all. This will help us on our quest.
Oh and people, if you take the leap and your ground isn't perfect, they sell good soil and ground cover (gravel, mulch, etc) at many stores and nurseries.
Thank you for discussing your experience. Such a great topic to talk about. We are fortunate enough to have family to stay with while we search for property but as we see one's we like come and go it sometimes feels like we're missing out on some great ones. Patience "is" hard sometimes.
Been watching you guys for a while and just figured out you’re from AZ. We just moved from Avondale, AZ to south of Willow Springs near family. Loving it here so far!
Thanks we're looking to move to Missouri very soon. Missouri was never a state I thought I'd want to live in but to my surprise it checked off so many on my list
Mr. Arnold, you are right about the ticks. Dead leaves, tall grasses. You have to keep the grasses cut fairly short, and the leaves cleaned up. Even a gas powered weed whacker and leaf blower will work wonders for tick control! Cut the weeds and grasses down and compost with the leaves.
About the point you make about realitors; there are actually two kinds and it is important to get the right kind. The two kinds are: Seller's agents: These are the kind most people think of when they talk about realitors. They make a commission off of the sale, and so have a vested interest in selling the property for the highest amount possible. They are required to look out for the interests of the seller, EVEN if they are working with the buyer. Seller's agents frequently act on behalf of BOTH sides in a sale, but their PRIMARY client is the seller. Buyer's agents: These are a much less common and much less known about type of agent. They usually work for a fee not a commission. Their job is to help a buyer find what they are looking for, then to negotiate with the seller's agent to get the buyer the most favorable terms possible. These agents work ONLY for the buyer in a sale since they have signed a contract with the buyer to work for their interests alone.
Ok Ms. Julie....consider this thought just for a minute........I can tell you that most, maybe not all but certainly most work together behind closed doors without buyer OR seller knowing about any such activities. The game in many cases is played just like Lawyers play it, unless they don't get along but likely to get along for the sake of money alone. They will get along temporarily.
3 Basket Living of course they get along. In fact your lawyer analogy is fairly accurate. The goal of both sides is to schmooze the best deal for their client that they can get the opposition to agree to. It is ALWAYS easier to get concessions out of someone who likes you than out of an enemy.
@@luvit5150 you COULD look at it like that I suppose. But there are a LOT of regulations, requirements and hidden pitfalls where buying OR selling houses are concerned. An agent KNOWS, what to look for and look OUT for to keep you from making expensive mistakes. And they also know all of the legalities, hoops, and requirements necessary to making a sale or purchase properly. Things that could garner fines for missing or improperly completed paperwork for, closing costs and taxes. And issues like title checks, inspections, and leins.
@@juliebaker6969 REALTORS have absolutely NO business practicing LAW & are liable for that. If you call them or make inquiry while the property’s listed they will use that inquiry record to collect from a Seller - so if a Buyer YOU the one losing equity along with the Seller. Once again-it’s a Sellers mkt. Hire an attorney to circumvent their con.
I was born and raised on a farm in Mo. I hated the ticks, bloodsuckers, snakes and mosquitos and most of all the hig humidity. My parents were great, loving people who taught us kids to respect nature and other human beings no matter what race or religion. I am grateful for that but no way do I want to return to the ticks, etc. Glad you guys are happy there..
We are looking now but can't purchase for about six weeks. God's will in this journey is the most important! Thankfully we are looking about an hour from where we live. Sadly our dream property just went off the market but does not look like it sold, once we have the money we will check to see if it sold. We are going to check out everything! Thanks for sharing this.
We are retiring from the Marine Corps and bought our 18 Acer's in Pulaski county sight unseen from North Carolina. Very scary. Turned out great though.
Talk to the Local Extension Office and Farm Extension office as well they will be aware of farms that never hit the market for sale and not listed. Gods timing is not on any clock we know of. ;) Took five years of looking before we found ours and I lived in Missouri.
Another thing to remember is that there is no Utopia . No Shagra La. There is always some sort of a drawback to every place. You want to live in a place where it doesn't snow ? You can do that ! Just be aware that the summer will be brutal ! And electricity costs more for air conditioning than natural gas does for heating. And you will still need heat for the three months of winter. I lived in Riverside , Ca. No snow. In the winter time you could see down California Ave. perhaps two miles or more. By May / June the visibility down the same street was perhaps 150 - 200 yards on a good day.
Yes, looking at the physical property is best, one former agent of mine said that the property wast with a few hills, I got there and only half an acer was flat and the rest was up a steep mountain
Great one! I don't want to be patient! 😂. My husband and I have been out to the general area we're looking at twice, trying to go once in each season because we're from Southern California and pretty much only have one season. ;). But we still haven't settled on a specific city. I think that's the hardest part for me right now,...not knowing exactly which city.
lol, 70% humidity is actually nice....we usually have humidity in the 90%....but I live in a swamp known as Miami.....but want to relocate to Idaho, up north!! Dry summers, that's all I want, no humidity!!!
I understand your struggle. I bought 50 acres in theodosia with a 2500 sq foot house not far from you. I am slowly getting moved from salt lake city. Hoping to meet up with you two some day God bless
I love your story! I have been asking myself this same question. How to people find their homestead property half way across the country? Especially when it is a location you have never lived before. Great advice and suggestions.
I am surprised you chose MO. I am from there, I left because of the personal property taxes. Super uncomfortable in the summer, and heavy with mosquitoes. I chose NV....although it gets hot as well, no winter at all, no taxes, and barely a fly. My Sis lives near Springfield and last winter was super harsh. I wish you both the best....you are tougher then this no winters woman!!!!
A lot of people buy land sight unseen up here in Alaska. Alaska is beautiful but we have a lot of marshes and wetlands and most of the land that is cheap you cannot get in your car and drive to it, you will need to fly to or use an ATV, boat or snow machine to get to it.
I'm in Missouri too neighbors 😄 and the ticks are the worst this year than ever that I remember. I went AZ and the southwest to see if I would like it there. I thought that it would be green since the temps were warmer. Haha...Green things need water and there wasn't much. You'd like it if you like rocks dirt and sand and little bushes. Well welcome to Humidity Misery, I mean Missouri. 🌲🌳👋😂😅🌲🌹🌳🍁🍂🍃🌾
@Ladybug Sarah , I lived in California for 25 miserable years . My kids could not ride their bicycles across the front yard once without getting a hundred thorns in the tires . I got to be pretty good at removing thorns from the tires. The tire tubes were mostly made up of patches. ut , if you missed a thorn or two you would soon have a flat tire again. They are called , bullthorns. And yes, they stick into kid's feet also . I now live in Ohio which I describe as being forty shades of green ! And no bullthorns.
Great information also remember have a attorney go back as far as possible and if leasing to own make sure no leans , and property being repo...people out there just take your money sad...thanks for Sharing as always God bless you both and your family thanks
Love the way you include God's will in your life. Encouraging!
Me too.
I recommend praying to Hestia, the Greek goddess of family and houses. Hestia is faaaar more effective.

My friend has been searching for years and wants everything to be perfect and shes been misrable for those years in a place she hates, when we just take the jump and go with the flow.
why move from Idaho?
@@Maleekus California has over taken Idaho.
We're looking into relocating to the Ozarks for our retirement. Thanks for the great insights. Much appreciated. Thanks.
God Bless you both!!!
can you tell me the name of your realtor
THIS is the information I’ve been wanting to hear. I watched it out of order when I saw it. You confirmed what I had already thought but wasn’t sure about so thank you!
My family and I planning on moving this February to the Ozark we currently live in Gilbert AZ, is nice to see you guys doing good, hoping for the best.
I love that you bring God into the middle of situations and that you are comfortable enough the share with us.
Great advice! Especially seeking The Lord and His will.
God didn't bless them and they are stuck in the same place !
Great video Kevin and Sarah. I've prayed and I'm waiting for His timing.
When we went looking for land there was a rainbow from one end to the other so we bought that one.
Thank you sooo much for sharing how you guys bought your land . We really appreciate it 🙂
In wanting to stick to Pa.. we got a couple days at 105 was too much for me..Glad I saw this video to see what may be out there. Glad you found a place that is nice. Love returning for more.
Thank your for the encouragement. We have been to your area and decided to move there. Still searching for the perfect property for us. Your right the waiting is hard.
Excellent info. I just came back from PA doing the same thing. 2 trips in. And fighting patience is really hard.
Great advice. Thanks so much. I can believe it's most worth it to visit first. You just have to. Janice
Inspirational talking , especially both are God fearing persons.that is very special in the life . Both are you having a good energy too .God Bless You
I moved from Ky to Phoenix....I miss the green but not the ticks :)
Great milestone.God is great and supreme
The Baptist has a wet hippocrit for a pastor
Beware of Wolves in Sheep's Clothing! They profess his name but deny the spirit there of.

Hey guys! Welcome to the neighborhood. We live just a little ways from y'all down in Maysville, AR. If you ever need anything just holler. We raise and sell grass finished beef.
Wow....your idea of a neighborhood certainly isn't considered a couple of city blocks now is it. LoL I get it tho.
3 Basket Living well, we do tend to roam a little. Branson is an easy day trip.
Your channel and family dynamic are so inspirational😬💕thank you for the content👍🏼✨
Shalom! Thank so much for this valuable information and you all are very encouraging.
Blessings to yo and yours!
Love this! We have been working on our home to sell over a year! I fell for Missouri after going through Ava a few summers ago. We are so happy to have you showing the area! We hope to be relocated by summers end!
These are great suggestions. Thanks, Kevin and Sarah!
Welcome to Missouri! The crazy unpredictable weather but it’s home to me 😊
Awwww ! What a nice story !!!! i loved it ! Congratulations you two ,,, I learn so much from your channel !!!
Oh and people, if you take the leap and your ground isn't perfect, they sell good soil and ground cover (gravel, mulch, etc) at many stores and nurseries.
the land is just the beginning because we found that equipment and housing was as much as we paid for the land, But this is a great video.
Thank you for discussing your experience. Such a great topic to talk about. We are fortunate enough to have family to stay with while we search for property but as we see one's we like come and go it sometimes feels like we're missing out on some great ones. Patience "is" hard sometimes.
Thank you so much for this video. All very good information.
Been watching you guys for a while and just figured out you’re from AZ. We just moved from Avondale, AZ to south of Willow Springs near family. Loving it here so far!
good advice thanks, me and the wife have talked about moving for a few years now. thanks again.
We love watching you we are in Springfield Missouri
Thank you both so much , i am want to relocate possible Missouri, and found your you tube channel. God bless you both.
Thanks we're looking to move to Missouri very soon. Missouri was never a state I thought I'd want to live in but to my surprise it checked off so many on my list
As for ticks, they love dead leaves so you guys were sitting in tick central. Great video and LOVE the Ozarks. Best part of the country.
Thank you. Valuable information. We are working on a well used Scotty travel trailer to do some road trips scouting out some property.
Thanks so much for this video, we are considering doing this very thing.
About the point you make about realitors; there are actually two kinds and it is important to get the right kind. The two kinds are:
Seller's agents: These are the kind most people think of when they talk about realitors.
They don’t do it on purpose... but fact is they are pimps that rob both Buyer & Seller of unearned Equity - especially in a Sellers Market.
Thank you
I was born and raised on a farm in Mo.
Awesome and thank you for sharing and blessings
We are looking now but can't purchase for about six weeks. God's will in this journey is the most important! Thankfully we are looking about an hour from where we live. Sadly our dream property just went off the market but does not look like it sold, once we have the money we will check to see if it sold. We are going to check out everything! Thanks for sharing this.
We are retiring from the Marine Corps and bought our 18 Acer's in Pulaski county sight unseen from North Carolina. Very scary. Turned out great though.
Another great, informative video! Thanks! 🏠🌾
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing. Take care and God Bless.
If you want to keep the ticks off use Grandma's Lye soap for bathing. Trust me it works. We use it everyday.
I'm a little late watching this but welcome to Missouri and yes our weather is crazy lol. the Ozarks are beautiful
Just got 20 acres in Carter county Mo !!!
Ironically also leaving Phoenix, cant wait to get there!
Thank you for making this video!
lol, 70% humidity is actually nice....we usually have humidity in the 90%....but I live in a swamp known as Miami.....but want to relocate to Idaho, up north!! Dry summers, that's all I want, no humidity!!!
Me too! I have family up in Northern Idaho and it's So lovely :))
I understand your struggle. I bought 50 acres in theodosia with a 2500 sq foot house not far from you. I am slowly getting moved from salt lake city. Hoping to meet up with you two some day God bless
Thank you so much for the information.
Good advice. Missouri is a pretty diverse state; north of the Missouri River gets you better soil & fewer ticks. 😉
I love your story! I have been asking myself this same question. How to people find their homestead property half way across the country? Especially when it is a location you have never lived before. Great advice and suggestions.
All great information thank you 😊
I am surprised you chose MO.
I can't stand the cactus and yucca plants everywhere. Our poor little dogs could not find a place to pee without getting stickers in their paws LOL!
@Ladybug Sarah ,
I lived in California for 25 miserable years .
Very good solid common sense advice. A property is not like an eBay item, dont buy sight unseen!
Ticks have an upside. They give you both a chance to check each other for them at night.
True! 😂
Great information also remember have a attorney go back as far as possible and if leasing to own make sure no leans , and property being repo...people out there just take your money sad...thanks for Sharing as always God bless you both and your family thanks
