      @PureNutrition101  26 дней назад

      For a Very Low Protein Diet (VLPD) in Nigeria, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional or dietitian to tailor the diet to your specific needs and available foods. Typically, a VLPD includes foods like low-protein grains, vegetables, and some fruits, while avoiding high-protein items.
      What are your primary goals with a VLPD? Are there particular local foods or dietary concerns you’d like to address in your plan?

    What does "stop diabetes" mean? Does it mean prevent type-2 diabetes? Cure type-2 diabetes?

    • @PureNutrition101
      @PureNutrition101  Месяц назад

      Great question! "Stop diabetes" can mean different things depending on the context:
      Preventing Type-2 Diabetes: This means taking steps to avoid developing the condition in the first place, often through lifestyle changes like diet and exercise.
      Curing Type-2 Diabetes: This would imply completely eliminating the disease so that it no longer affects a person, which is not currently possible with existing treatments.
      It’s crucial to clarify that while lifestyle changes and medications can help manage and control diabetes, they do not "stop" or "cure" it completely.
      How do you manage your diabetes, and what strategies have you found helpful in your journey? Let's discuss!

    I neither buy the plant or carnivore diet arguments. I have many vegetarian friends and their parents lived well past 90s and also have friends and their parents also lived in to their 90s on carnivore diet. I guess you cannot paint everyone with the same paint brush. See what duits you the best.
    One thing in common anout those who lived to their 90s was that all of them lived active life and lead a disciplined lifestyle.

    • @PureNutrition101
      @PureNutrition101  26 дней назад

      You're absolutely right-there's no one-size-fits-all diet. Whether plant-based or carnivore, what really seems to matter is finding what works best for your body. Those who lived into their 90s, as you mentioned, shared common traits: an active lifestyle and discipline. It's a great reminder that longevity isn't just about what you eat but how you live. What are your thoughts on balancing diet with other aspects of a healthy lifestyle?
