I love trying to guess what the mystery items could be, my first thought was a piece used on the end of a lace used on clothing. Take care Hans, good luck 🍀and happy hunting Mary-Ellen 🙋👍
+TerraGermania Damp weather always annoys my arthritis, and we're having very unsettled weather at the moment. Hi Hans , I mean the the object at 8.00 on the video. I found that hoard about 28 years ago with a friend who unfortunately has since passed away . Although the finds are getting scarcer these days ,the field still yields the odd surprise occasionally. The coins are now in the British museum. I am sure you find gold you're self one day! But as you say its not about the money, Its about the thrill of finding history and touching something that was last touched by a Roman!! All the best , Andrew 😃
Andrew PIKE ah ok. . .maybe you are right. . i still haven't got a clue what it could be! thank you for your guess! wow! great! the find of a lifetime i would say! ...sorry to hear about your friend! i hope you are right about my gold treasure ;) . . yes and that is still my way of thinking about the hobby. . .it would be an absolute thrill to find gold but not because of the money that it's worth but because of the history and the excitement :) all the best, GL&HH! hans

Great hunt! The archaeologists are green with envy! It seems that there must have been a Roman estate on this location with so many find...or maybe a military camp. Hope you get to hunt it at least one more time. Who knows...maybe you'll find the treasure the estate owners buried when Arminius and his bunch came calling!
Greg Kerr hello greg :)thank you! i'm glad you liked the hunt! haha. . i don't think so. . i hope they are happy about new insights! you could be right about the estate. . the area is too small and sloping for a settlement. . wow! i hope you are right about the treasure. . what an adventurous thought :) thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Very nice job on all of your offerings. I like them very much I live in south Florida "the Gold Coast". Lots of beaches to detect. I'm near the Jupiter Inlet. We have a Spanish Galion just off the beach here. Tons of silver and gold has come off this find. Let me know if you want to come over next winter and warm up a bit
Terry Forbes hello terry!thank you for your kind words about my videos! i'm glad that you like them! thank you for watching :) that would be great! i've never detected a beach. . must be fun especially in a sunny state like florida! i will keep your offer in my mind! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Excellent video Hans I would gladly dig up 10x that amount of trash to find those finds hope you get back to do another dig before the field is sown GL&HH
The big man thank you my friend! i'm glad you like it :) i don't mind to dig the trash too. . .it's absolutely worth the toil! . . .could be that the field is already under crops. . .we'll see :)thank you for watching and for your kind words!!! all the best, GL&HH! hans

Hello Hans, You might already be aware, but there is somebody on RUclips ripping off your videos. I have already informed Dave (Relic Hunting Scotland0, who also is being ripped off. The user name of the person copying your videos is Drepers Flovv. Best, Jamie
hello jamie! no i wasn't aware of that! thank you for telling me! i'm not sure what to do now!? i will do some research on what to do in cases like that. . . thank you again for informing me my friend! best wishes, hans
You are very welcome, Hans. Certainly you must report them to RUclips. You might want to search 'Detecting Germany' of the like, because there might well be other people doing it also. I found two people doing it to the videos of Relic Hunting Scotland. Best, Jamie
SondeldieWaldfee hallo flo :)haha. LG; GL&HH! hans
Hi Hans, another fantastic video, always anxiously hope you upload your videos are really good, distract my mind from the serious political and economic problems we have in Mexico ... I send you a big hug and take care greetings and happy hunting :)
Gerardo Alvarez hello gerardo!thank you for your kind words about my videos! it's a big compliment for me to hear that my videos manage to distract you from the troubles of your homeland . . .i feel very sorry for your situation and i hope for a positive change of the situation in mexico. . .where exactly do you live ? have a big hug back and take care too my friend! all the best, hans
TerraGermania Hello Hans, I live exactly in the city of Aguascalientes, in the State of Aguascalientes, my city is located in the geographical center of Mexico, surrounded by States like Jalisco, Zacatecas and San Luis Potosi, regards and happy hunting :)
hello gerardo, seems to be a nice city. . .saw some pictures in the internet . . .i've been to cancun last year. . .it's a nice place too! all the best to you! hans
Hans, your first find featured in this video is a sword scabbard hook. I dug one several years ago at a site that dated mid 1700's. I posted it on treasurenet.com and got a positive id. That's a great military find.
Chris Phillips hello chris, thank you for watching and for your helpful comment! also the link is helpful. . i'm trying to find more reference pieces in the internet now. . all the best, GL&HH! hans
MrCoin Digger haha. . it depends on of which metal you are made of. . gold and silver always comes up nice ;) god bless you too my friend! all the best, GL&HH! hans
The ampule looking object is very interesting. Hollow, highly decorated, must have been an important item. Hopefully your archaeologist can identify it so your viewers can also be educated.
penguin chick me too. . lol. . it's a science! i have some friends who are real experts. . .and i do my research in the internet. . .you will find a lot of pages. . i would recommend you some but they are in german language. . .thank you for watching!!! all the best, GL&HH! hans
All those Roman coins and other finds make me wonder whether it's possible that you have stumbled upon the site of a Roman military camp, village or market place. Anyhow, it's mind blowing to realise those coins were there in the ground while the Germanic tribes, Franken, Burgonden, etc. marched over them into Gaul 1700 years ago.
Oldfaithful61 that's the secret and mystery behind this hobby. . .you can only assume until you've found 100% evidence for something. . it could be a villa rustica i've found there. . the field is to small and sloping for a settlement. . .you are so right. . thoughts like that fascinate me deeply! history is one of the most interesting topics for me! thank you for watching my videos and for sharing your fascination :) all the best, hans
Hi Hans, great video again. I wonder if the unknown object is one of the end terminals of a torc bracelet or something like that. Your field reminds me of my favourite field over here in England , you are finding very similar coins and artefacts as me ! Have you found any signs of habitation such as pottery or oyster shells or building materials? My field has produced many happy hours of detecting over the years and some lovely surprises including a hoard of 20 late fourth century roman gold solidi coins ! I hope you have similar success in your field. Happy hunting Hans :)
Andrew PIKE hello andrew!which find do you mean exactly? wow! your field sounds fantastic! i hope i will find a hard of solidi as well :) it's an absolute dream find! congrats! the condition of the field doesn't really allow to find shards at the moment but i will try to find shards there in the future. . .thank you for watching my video and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans
The roman coin at 2:59 will have some detail on it if the patina is stable. In fact, a lot of the roman coins you find may look like they have no detail, but when the patina is solid and is not flaking then they might have quite some detail on it. Also the one at 7:17 is a barbaric imitation of a constantinopolis coin
The Milkmann hello my friend, the only thing i do with these coins is to soak them in water. . .if the dirt comes off i can present the details but if the dirt is a hard crust i don't do anything to remove it. . .as you said, very often the coins are brittle and i would destroy them with the attempt to clean them. . .i leave it to the specialists to clean them professionally :) thank you for watching and commenting!!! all the best, hans
TerraGermania yea, sadly i have many where the patina flakes off leaving me with an ugly coin with very little detail. But your best finds of this hunt was that barbaric constantinopolis/urbs roma mule and that trajan denarius. I do have a coin of trajan but i think it is a quadrans. If you ever find a postumus antoninianus or any other roman billon coin, soak it in vinegar and lightly brush it with some very fine steel wool. The patina will be removed but it will have the look of a nice silver coin. Its up to you if you want to do that but its just a suggestion. Gl and HH
thank you for your interesting tip about cleaning the billon coin. . .but since i hand over all my ancient finds i don't dare to clean them myself. . .haha. . but they must look great after this treatment. . . GL&HH! hans
Another great video Hans - thank you for sharing these they really are a pleasure to watch. I haven't been detecting for long and only have two permissions - both horse pasture in southern England, and two or three inches down it's full of flint nodules, so a dig can take twenty minutes or more to find whatever is giving the signal (generally shotgun cartridges). Sometimes I just cant penetrate the ground to reach it. Nevertheless, I'm loving it and have been out every weekend for the last month. One good thing about difficult ground is that I'm getting fit :) Can I ask how many digs you would make on a typical day (for example, this video). You made some amazing finds, I'm just wondering how many digs you would make on a day like that. From your trash + finds it looks like 20 or 30 digs in a day? All the best Jon
Geo Jon hello jon, thank you for watching my videos! i'm very happy to hear that you like them :) i know this kind of soil. . very exhausting to dig. . the best tool to use on this kind of ground are spades with pointed , narrow and sharp blades. it's hard for me to estimate the digs but i know for sure that it have to be far more than 30. . i usually do hunts that last 6 to 8 hours :P ... thank you for your kind comment my friend. . . all the best, GL&HH! hans
reiner traeger hallo reiner!danke dir! freut mich zu hören :) . . LG, GL&HH! hans
Hello Hans, brilliant video and finds yet again. Is there history of a Roman settlement near this field as there seems to be so many coins in this area, or maybe a market. Very interesting an informative video as usual Hans. GL & HF, Colin.
zephyr88zodiac hello colin!i'm happy to hear that you like my video and the finds! thank you for watching! it's hard to say what exactly happened there but i think it's rather a villa rustica than a settlement as the area is quite sloping. . .but who knows! thank you for your kind words about my videos :) all the best, GL&HH! hans
thank you for sharing your thoughts about the mystery object. . I've already handed over all the finds. . as soon as I get the information about the find I will pass it on to you all :) best wishes, hans
Great video, hunt & finds Hans. 1:20 could it be from a flag pole to tie the rope on, or for a boat? I don't know for sure but looks like it. Congrats on all the finds and thanks for sharing. Best wishes my friend GL&HH Don
Don koffie hello don!thank you my friend :) i't makes me happy that you like my video! i think you are right! i thought the same and i named it like that with the closeup picture. . .as i'm still not 100% sure i put a question mark behind it ;) thank you for watching and for your helpful comment don! all the best to you and good luck and happy hunting on your next hunt!! hans
Carl Wilkinson i took a look on the find again and it seems to be open on one side. . .i can't find anything like a stopper as well. . .it remains a mystery find . .lol but thank you anyways!thank you for watching my videos!!! it's much appreciated! best wishes, hans
the container was quite damaged. . but it's a good guess you're making here. I can imagine that it is what you assume! thank you for watching and for your helpful comment!
Great Hunt Hans!!! Congrats on your Roman silver, very nice. Shame that the others are in such bad shape. Is it due to wearing of the coins or soil contaminants/fertilizers? Hope all is well and as always...GL/HH
Sir Digs-A-Lot hello james!thank you my friend! it's great that you like my video! the bronze coins are sensible depending on their alloy. . .and you are right it's the fertilizers, sour rain and the plough that destroys the coins. . it's a shame! thank you for watching and for your kind words! hope all is well with you too! GL&HH! hans
Hi Hans! I have been wondering about something for a long time now, cause ive been thinking of making a channel myself as well but; How much time do you spend editing and making each episode? Its seems like endless editing work? And also walking back and forward to the camera, filming from different angles, showing the object cleaned. You must spend A LOT of time on the field as well. And then you have to edit away all the walking back and forward to the camera. Do you do all the work alone? If so its totally increadable!
hello my friend, thank you for appreciating my videos and for taking notice of the work I put into making them :) one episode takes about two days. . one day for detecting and cleaning of the finds and another day for taking the close ups and for editing. the longer I practise my hobby the more efficient I get and filming and editing doesn't take as long as it used to take anymore. I do everything alone... thank you for watching my friend :)
Thank you for the answer. Im very very impressed, its none less then mindblowing that you do all this alone and still get it so brilliant! I dont think everyone understands how much work you actually put into this. You are a great inspiration for me, and you make me wanna lift my own standards. Thank you very much Hans! =)
Z Worm hello!i'm glad that you like my finds! it's indeed a great site. . who knows what will pop up next :) ...yes it is. . do you have an idea what it could be? thank you for watching and commenting!!! all the best, hans
TerraGermania At first it looks like a CO2 cartridge! We know it is not one of those. It has a nice and I believe functional pattern on it, to give good grip. It reminds me of an old medicine bottle. It is crushed. The tip looks sealed and then cut open at an angle. I wonder if it is a potion/Unguent container. Maybe rare oil. Either for medicine or a devotion gift? It is nice to wonder and guess at things like this. Keep finding them! John
hello john! i totally agree! it's one of the great things about the hobby to find mystery objects that are not easy to define. . but when you manage to define them it is very satisfying and fun :) thank you for your interesting guesses. . .i like the container idea for rare oils . . i will try to find out and then i will tell you! all the best, hans
Nobbybuttons hello! thank you for watching and commenting! hmm i know what you mean but the weights of these clocks look like pine cones and are bigger an much heavier. . the piece i've found is very small, hollow and light. . .but thank you anyway..i always appreciate guesses about unknown objects! all the best, hans
You are an astute creature TG judging by your memory in placing that buckle with an earlier fragment find that you registered, if that is the right word. You need to be hired immediately as an Archaeologist. You use the words "protect" and "beauty" sparingly which is in stark contrast to others who participate in the pastime. Give me four hours with a detector before a round of golf any day.
MrGerryodonothing haha. . thank you! this fragment was a mystery for me that's why i remembered it :)i have deep respect for each and every find i make no matter if it's made out of a valuable material or not. . the history is what i appreciate! thank you for watching my video and for your kind comment!! all the best, hans
Hello Hans Where in germany would you suggest metal detecting I am visiting germany and am planning on metal detecting I would be grateful if you shared some tips Keep making videos -Malcolm
nerdiology Magicalive hello malcom,i feel sorry that i have to tell you that metal detecting is prohibited in germany if you haven't got a permission from the archaeological department and the landowner. it can cause you a lot of trouble to detect without these permissions! we just had a big trial here in germany because of illegal treasure hunting . . .i wish i could give you more positive informations but that's the way it is. . . thank you for watching my videos! all the best, hans
LG, hans
Riding Japan hallo ! man denkt gar nicht was so alles vergraben liegt.
. .mit denen kannst du nichts falsch machen. . .
yes i've found several of these coins from different epochs. the conquered roman provinces used to mint their own coins whenever the supply of official coins came to a halt. these coins were no counterfeit coins made to deceive, they were made to sustain local economies. I've also found counterfeit coins from england that were spread across germany to weaken and sabotage the german economy in the 19. hundreds.
Carl Wilkinson hello carl!interesting guess! i will check weather metal scent bottles existed in roman time. . .thank you for watching and for your comment! all the best, hans
LG; hans

It doesn't matter what order I watch your videos in they're always fantastic in every way. I'm not having a good day but being engrossed in your videos helps me in a way I hope you never understand. I love trying to guess what the mystery items could be, my first thought was a piece used on the end of a lace used on clothing. Take care Hans, good luck 🍀and happy hunting Mary-Ellen 🙋👍
sorry to hear you had a bad day mary-ellen. hope today you're feeling better! I'm happy that my videos could help you!

+TerraGermania Damp weather always annoys my arthritis, and we're having very unsettled weather at the moment. I find keeping my mind focused on something I enjoy its easier to ignore and then I am my usual smiling self for my loved ones. Nice area ! nice field !! Nice founds!!! :)
Sven Gerrits hello sven,
thank you for watching my video and for your kind words!
all the best,
hans
Hi Hans , I mean the the object at 8.00 on the video. I found that hoard about 28 years ago with a friend who unfortunately has since passed away . Although the finds are getting scarcer these days ,the field still yields the odd surprise occasionally. The coins are now in the British museum. I am sure you find gold you're self one day! But as you say its not about the money, Its about the thrill of finding history and touching something that was last touched by a Roman!! All the best , Andrew 😃
Andrew PIKE ah ok. . .maybe you are right. . i still haven't got a clue what it could be! thank you for your guess! wow! great! the find of a lifetime i would say! ...sorry to hear about your friend!
i hope you are right about my gold treasure ;) . . yes and that is still my way of thinking about the hobby. . .it would be an absolute thrill to find gold but not because of the money that it's worth but because of the history and the excitement :)
all the best, GL&HH!

Great hunt! The archaeologists are green with envy! It seems that there must have been a Roman estate on this location with so many find...or maybe a military camp. Hope you get to hunt it at least one more time. Who knows...maybe you'll find the treasure the estate owners buried when Arminius and his bunch came calling!
Greg Kerr hello greg :)thank you! i'm glad you liked the hunt! haha. . i don't think so. . i hope they are happy about new insights!
you could be right about the estate. . the area is too small and sloping for a settlement. .
wow! i hope you are right about the treasure. . what an adventurous thought :)
thank you for watching and for your kind comment!
all the best, GL&HH!

Very nice job on all of your offerings. I like them very much
I live in south Florida "the Gold Coast". Lots of beaches to detect.
I'm near the Jupiter Inlet. We have a Spanish Galion just off the beach here. Tons of silver and gold has come off this find. Let me know if you want to come over next winter and warm up a bit
Terry Forbes hello terry!thank you for your kind words about my videos! i'm glad that you like them! thank you for watching :)

Hello Hans,
You might already be aware, but there is somebody on RUclips ripping off your videos. I have already informed Dave (Relic Hunting Scotland0, who also is being ripped off. The user name of the person copying your videos is Drepers Flovv.
Best, Jamie
hello jamie!
no i wasn't aware of that! thank you for telling me! i'm not sure what to do now!?
i will do some research on what to do in cases like that. . .
thank you again for informing me my friend!
best wishes,
hans
You are very welcome, Hans. Certainly you must report them to RUclips. You might want to search 'Detecting Germany' of the like, because there might well be other people doing it also. I found two people doing it to the videos of Relic Hunting Scotland. Best, Jamie
thank you again jamie! it's much appreciated!
Thank you for another pro vid!

Flo
SondeldieWaldfee hallo flo :)haha. . was soll ich sagen ;)

TerraGermania Hello Hans, I live exactly in the city of Aguascalientes, in the State of Aguascalientes, my city is located in the geographical center of Mexico, surrounded by States like Jalisco, Zacatecas and San Luis Potosi, regards and happy hunting :)
hello gerardo,
seems to be a nice city. . .saw some pictures in the internet . . .i've been to cancun last year. . .it's a nice place too!
all the best to you!
hans
Hans, your first find featured in this video is a sword scabbard hook. I dug one several years ago at a site that dated mid 1700's. I posted it on treasurenet.com and got a positive id. That's a great military find.
Chris Phillips hello chris,
thank you for watching and for your helpful comment! also the link is helpful. . i'm trying to find more reference pieces in the internet now. .

The ampule looking object is very interesting. Hollow, highly decorated, must have been an important item. Hopefully your archaeologist can identify it so your viewers can also be educated.
get in i hope so too. . .if i'm able to find out i will let you all know :)
Hallo Hans,
wieder ein richtig schönes Video. Danke.
Andy
Sondel-Andy hallo andy!vielen dank, freut mich zu hören :) ich muß dir fürs anschauen danken!
irgend so etwas wird es sein. . .ich dachte an eine befestigungsmöglichkeit für leinen. . zb. am fahnenmast oder an booten. . danke für deinen besuch und fürs kommentieren :)

great finds hans, i am trying to learn more about roman coinage, i was sent a few and don't find much info. GL & HH :)
penguin chick me too. . lol. . it's a science! i have some friends who are real experts. . .and i do my research in the internet. . .you will find a lot of pages. . i would recommend you some but they are in german language. . .thank you for watching!!!
all the best, GL&HH!
Oldfaithful61 that's the secret and mystery behind this hobby. . .you can only assume until you've found 100% evidence for something. . it could be a villa rustica i've found there. . the field is to small and sloping for a settlement. . .you are so right. . thoughts like that fascinate me deeply! history is one of the most interesting topics for me!
thank you for watching my videos and for sharing your fascination :)
all the best,
hans
...weiterhin viel Glück... bisschen Neid is auch dabei ;-)
Ronny Senftleben hallo ronny, haha.
LG,
hans
The Milkmann hello my friend, the only thing i do with these coins is to soak them in water. . .if the dirt comes off i can present the details but if the dirt is a hard crust i don't do anything to remove it. . .as you said, very often the coins are brittle and i would destroy them with the attempt to clean them. . .i leave it to the specialists to clean them professionally :)
thank you for watching and commenting!!!
all the best,
hans
All the best
Jon
Geo Jon hello jon,
thank you for watching my videos! i'm very happy to hear that you like them :)
i know this kind of soil. . very exhausting to dig. . the best tool to use on this kind of ground are spades with pointed , narrow and sharp blades.
it's hard for me to estimate the digs but i know for sure that it have to be far more than 30. . i usually do hunts that last 6 to 8 hours :P ...
thank you for your kind comment my friend. . .
all the best, GL&HH!
hans
That button looks beautiful. So is the unknown object. It looks so small yet beautifully decorated. Could it be a handle of a tiny spoon?
LG!
Incredible that so many people have lost coins etc
Hello Hans, brilliant video and finds yet again. Is there history of a Roman settlement near this field as there seems to be so many coins in this area, or maybe a market. Very interesting an informative video as usual Hans. GL & HF, Colin.
zephyr88zodiac hello colin!i'm happy to hear that you like my video and the finds! thank you for watching! it's hard to say what exactly happened there but i think it's rather a villa rustica than a settlement as the area is quite sloping. . .but who knows! thank you for your kind words about my videos :)
all the best, GL&HH!
hans
Hans,
The mystery object at 1:40 looks to me like an old window handle. What was that REALLY unknown object? It looks quite old from the workmanship.
thank you for sharing your thoughts about the mystery object. . I've already handed over all the finds. . as soon as I get the information about the find I will pass it on to you all :)
best wishes,
hans
Great video, hunt & finds Hans.
1:20 could it be from a flag pole to tie the rope on, or for a boat? I don't know for sure but looks like it.
Congrats on all the finds and thanks for sharing.
Best wishes my friend GL&HH Don
Don koffie hello don!thank you my friend :) i't makes me happy that you like my video!
i think you are right! i thought the same and i named it like that with the closeup picture. . .as i'm still not 100% sure i put a question mark behind it ;)
thank you for watching and for your helpful comment don!
all the best to you and good luck and happy hunting on your next hunt!!
hans
Yes you're right, you did say it might be a belaying cleat... I didn't know what a belaying cleat was :-) sorry :-)
GL&HH Don
no problem. . haha. . i didn't know it too. . i looked it up ;)
GL&HH!
hans
Hans, I have had a quick look and can not see any thing like that, is that a stopper at one end that I saw or just dirt ? I watch all your you-tubes.
Carl Wilkinson i took a look on the find again and it seems to be open on one side. . .i can't find anything like a stopper as well. . .it remains a mystery find . .lol but thank you anyways!thank you for watching my videos!!! it's much appreciated!
best wishes,
hans
Does the unknown object open up ? I think it looks like a container for sewing needles
the container was quite damaged. . but it's a good guess you're making here.
If so its totally increadable!
hello my friend,
thank you for appreciating my videos and for taking notice of the work I put into making them :)
one episode takes about two days. . one day for detecting and cleaning of the finds and another day for taking the close ups and for editing. the longer I practise my hobby the more efficient I get and filming and editing doesn't take as long as it used to take anymore.
thank you for the kind things you've said my friend . . :)
all the best,
hans
Great finds on a wonder filled site! Enjoyed the video. Is that diamond pattern object hollow? Thanks.
Z Worm hello!i'm glad that you like my finds! it's indeed a great site. . who knows what will pop up next :)
...yes it is. . do you have an idea what it could be?
thank you for watching and commenting!!!
all the best,
hans
TerraGermania At first it looks like a CO2 cartridge! We know it is not one of those. It has a nice and I believe functional pattern on it, to give good grip. It reminds me of an old medicine bottle. It is crushed. The tip looks sealed and then cut open at an angle. I wonder if it is a potion/Unguent container. Maybe rare oil. Either for medicine or a devotion gift? It is nice to wonder and guess at things like this. Keep finding them! John
hello john!
i totally agree! it's one of the great things about the hobby to find mystery objects that are not easy to define. . but when you manage to define them it is very satisfying and fun :) thank you for your interesting guesses. . .i like the container idea for rare oils . . i will try to find out and then i will tell you!
all the best,
hans
TerraGermania
That would be great! I will look forward to hearing about it. John
Hello was thinking the "unknown object" could be coo coo clock weight.
Nobbybuttons hello!
thank you for watching and commenting! hmm i know what you mean but the weights of these clocks look like pine cones and are bigger an much heavier. . the piece i've found is very small, hollow and light. . .but thank you anyway..i always appreciate guesses about unknown objects!
all the best,
hans
You are an astute creature TG judging by your memory in placing that buckle with an earlier fragment find that you registered, if that is the right word. You need to be hired immediately as an Archaeologist. You use the words "protect" and "beauty" sparingly which is in stark contrast to others who participate in the pastime. Give me four hours with a detector before a round of golf any day.
MrGerryodonothing haha. . thank you! this fragment was a mystery for me that's why i remembered it :)i have deep respect for each and every find i make no matter if it's made out of a valuable material or not. . the history is what i appreciate! thank you for watching my video and for your kind comment!!
all the best,
hans
Hello Hans
Where in germany would you suggest metal detecting
I am visiting germany and am planning on metal detecting
I would be grateful if you shared some tips
Keep making videos
-Malcolm
nerdiology Magicalive hello malcom,i feel sorry that i have to tell you that metal detecting is prohibited in germany if you haven't got a permission from the archaeological department and the landowner. it can cause you a lot of trouble to detect without these permissions! we just had a big trial here in germany because of illegal treasure hunting . . .i wish i could give you more positive informations but that's the way it is. . .
thank you for watching my videos!
all the best,
hans
Danke Hans für den Hinweis
I will of take that into Account
Keep making your great videos
-Malcolm
This is the minim field.
Servus Hans!
Riding Japan hallo !
man denkt gar nicht was so alles vergraben liegt.
LG,
hans
. .mit denen kannst du nichts falsch machen. . .
Have you come across a counterfeit coin? One that was obviously fake and meant to pass as a genuine, maybe during the time period it was created in?
yes i've found several of these coins from different epochs. the conquered roman provinces used to mint their own coins whenever the supply of official coins came to a halt. these coins were no counterfeit coins made to deceive, they were made to sustain local economies. I've also found counterfeit coins from england that were spread across germany to weaken and sabotage the german economy in the 19. hundreds.
TerraGermania I had no idea! Thanks for your comment
Could the unknown be a Roman scent bottle ?.
Carl Wilkinson hello carl!interesting guess! i will check weather metal scent bottles existed in roman time. . .thank you for watching and for your comment!
all the best,
hans
