I enjoyed the movie overall, but I wish they did more with Taskmaster. Scarlett was great as usual and I'm going to miss her in this universe, but Florence Pugh killed it IMO.
Yah taskmaster was a let down not bc they made it be a woman, but mainly bc they made this really interesting character who can mimic ppl by his own free will (like thats his talent) be someone who is a controlled robotic killer and it was such a waste of the character.

And I asked myself, if Milla Jovovich were to play as Black Widow and they used her daughter as her younger self, it would've made perfectly sense. If Marvel were to have a body double and have the young Scarlett Johansson from the 90s when she was a child, it would've been scary and amazing with the power of technology as far as de-aging actors / actresses. Look back the previous MCU movies that involved actors / actresses who were de-aged. But in the end, MCU never disappoints.

Yelena was my favorite of the movie. Florence Pugh killed it. Hope to see more of her in MCU. I want to see her as Avenger. Movie was fine, Taskmaster reveal was obvious and predictable, but Taskmaster was fine imo. To me the movie was more about the family, not about the villain, so it didn't bother me that Taskmaster wasn't there as much.
The movie was fun and entertaining. I just wish we got more time with Natasha's "adoptive" family. They were all interesting and I wanted to know more about them. Hopefully we'll get to know more about them in the Hawkeye series.
End credits scene.......but the little sister and elaine were talking as if they already had a working relationship like the little sister has been working for Elaine for a while now. My thoughts about that is that in the upcoming hawkeye series is gonna see little sister get to hawkeye and see he has a family and they are gonna become friends and we'll see her converted as the official black widow for avengers 5.....that's my theory :)
Or she'll become White Widow and join the Dark Avengers alongside Red Hulk (Ross), U.S. Agent, and Madame Hydra, and possibly, just maybe, the real task master is behind that team since he likes training villains 👀
The movie was flame. These other movie review channels were waaaay to critical on this movie. Black Widow, in my opinion, is on par with Jason Bourne, Mission Impossible, and John Wick. She killed it.
I thought the movie was a perfect send-off to Natasha and a great origin story for both Natasha and for Yelena. I cannot wait to see Yelena become the next black widow. She killed it for real.

I loved this movie. It was better than I expected fr. The action, emotion, characters, tone and even the story all worked for me. And ion care what anybody say, taskmaster was badass, but I can see why fans of him might be a little disappointed

The biggest L this movie took IMO was releasing late in the continuity timeline. Had it released after Civil War and before Infinity War it would’ve set up her Death better. Her sacrifice would’ve had more gravity and weight to it than being an obligatory B/C Storyline death. Her Arc would’ve completed perfectly and connected more for the fans and general audience. But overall a solid 7/10
Personally I would rate the movie higher if it had gone with more of a Spy thriller feel. I still really liked it though. Florence had the most charismatic performance. Although this movie felt more like Mission Impossible, than Mission Impossible does.
The only reason I knew task master was a woman was because I saw Olga Kurylenko’s name in the opening credits. It was already close to end of the movie and she hasn’t appeared on screen yet. But it was a nice twist that she was his daughter

I liked the fighting and characters in the movie but one of my problems, I mean not really a problem just a letdown for me is the unnecessary jokes at the wrong situations, they don't work for me and of course I didn't like MCU's portrayal of taskmaster a bit, I'm sorry, I didn't like it, there was so much they could have done and what they did, it didn't work for me I would give this movie a rating of 6/10

Loved Black Widow. Seeing it with a nearly sold out theatre filled with Marvel fans felt good to see again. Also the ending bit with y'all joking about being in Scarlet Johansson's outfit was funny.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The family dynamic was my favorite part of the movie. All 4 of them hit it out of the park. I was surprised by how dark it went with the opening credit scene was, similar vibes with what happens in our world with trafficking of girls. The action was top notch, some fight scenes were Borne-esque and excellent. TaskMaster was good, maybe could have been better, but I was entertained by TM. That scene at the end flying through the air with the destroyed complex, is one of the best action scenes/set pieces I've ever scene. People who don't like it, that's too bad for you. I really liked it.

It's not one of my top MCU films but The other characters stood out more than Nat. I thought it was going to be darker in relation to the Red Room but the cast has great chemistry and humor is hilarious. I liked the story and the action is incredible! I guess I would say it could have given the character of Nat more justice but it was still great and that post credit scene was awesome with emotion and twist. Taskmaster didn't bother me, I like how they did it and Taskmaster is a cool villain even if she doesn't stand out

The movie can set up another taskmaster and the character red widow. As we all know the taskmaster in the film wasn’t tony masters. But if you think about it the taskmaster in the film fits the description of the character red widow who has a disfigured face like the taskmaster in the film. Through some good writing etc they can set up the real taskmaster whos identity could be stolen and set up red widow too

The main problem from what I understand is task master, a traditionally male character becoming a woman, and having a male stunt double play him for most of the movie, with the actual actor only being there for when the helmet is removed for a single scene
This taskmaster was not an merciless assassin & not an sleeper cell agent but can say i respect the new direction just like ancient one in doctor strange
I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. Loved the action, loved the comedy, and Scarlett was amazing as always. Whatever changes they made from the comics don’t matter to me. If I had to complain about something it’s that everything ended a little too perfectly. No one died except the bad guy but I imagine it’s because we’re gonna be seeing these characters again in the future. So I’m ok with that.
I feel like you can get away with a lot more brutal violence/action with PG13 than the old standards would allow. So they're pushing the PG13 to the limit especially with the knife stab and twisting the knife and other violent scenes.. right now I feel like the only thing pushes movies into R rating is sex/nudity.
Yeah, the theaters need staff. They are hiring at the theater I just went to. It was the afternoon matinee and no one checked my ticket. I literally walked in and went to the auditorium. Dang, I could have got in for free. Lol I thought the movie was cool though. Black Widow isn't one of my favorite characters, but I did thoroughly enjoy the movie.

The movie was great, I came in with low expectations but left very satisfied. Also the little sister stole the show and the dad.

I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. Loved the action, loved the comedy, and Scarlett was amazing as always. Whatever changes they made from the comics don’t matter to me. If I had to complain about something it’s that everything ended a little too perfectly. No one died except the bad guy but I imagine it’s because we’re gonna be seeing these characters again in the future. So I’m ok with that.

All I can say that it was a great movie, enjoyable and emotional. What I hate was Taskmaster, but that was all about it. Probably in my top 10 MCU.

I feel like you can get away with a lot more brutal violence/action with PG13 than the old standards would allow. So they're pushing the PG13 to the limit especially with the knife stab and twisting the knife and other violent scenes.. right now I feel like the only thing pushes movies into R rating is sex/nudity.
Waited till October and watched it on Disney+. It's middle of the road film for me. Definitely feel like this should've released years ago.
Yeah, the theaters need staff. They are hiring at the theater I just went to. It was the afternoon matinee and no one checked my ticket. I literally walked in and went to the auditorium. Dang, I could have got in for free. Lol I thought the movie was cool though. Black Widow isn't one of my favorite characters, but I did thoroughly enjoy the movie.
