Hahhahah exactly she went to get dad! Such a lovely family, all safe now. I’ve been a fan of your documentaries for years, and now I found you on RUclips! Sometimes it’s like a soap opera with splendid characters. Thank you so much for the incredible work, and the dedication you put into it
Can you imagine the conversation between the mum and dad ! 😭😭😭 I managed to hold it together until simon got sniffly and then i lost it too haha. 💖💖💖 Well done guys!
The devotion of the parents and you guys had me on the edge of my seat and hardly able to breathe .beats any TV drama or blockbuster ..This is real life .You both did so well .That really was a wild goose chase with meaning .TERRIFIC !! *
Oh, absolutely perfect rescue. Quite admirable patience. So much for _"A bird in the hand, is worth two in the bush"._ More like, _"A goose into the air, is worth 2 (+6 ducklings) in the net!"_ 😉 Remarkable how she went and told "dad" and they both came back to see what they could do about their "periled" offspring. Really impressed with this one. 😃
I know that feeling well; Having a task at hand - The opportunity for its conclusion presents itself, through patience and perseverance and is within your grasp - the waiting and struggles have been long and you now stand "in the moment", focusing on nothing else. - Upon success, on top of the feeling of relief, you realize you can feel your own heart beat, all the way up to the chin! The RUSH of success! Haha, and a well-earned one for you. Cheers! 😊👍
Marvelous bit of work! Congratulations to Simon and his helpers. This was not easy. Getting dad along too was essential since Egyptian Geese mate for life and mom couldn't deal with all the babies alone.
Simon, just watched this two year old video again, and I realized that what you were doing in your capture is something few rescuers would have known to do. You read those ducks, and tried everything. Only someone who has done so many duck rescues would have been able to pull that off! Your knowledge and patience are amazing!
Wow. You all did an AWESOME job! Are Egyptian geese a more intelligent species? Mama goose's solution to get reinforcements (Papa goose) was pretty amazing. And yet, what you did was even more so, thankfully. Perfect job!
Jayne Eyre actually that is not the case geese and other waterfowl don’t bring food to the young the young stick with the parents and find food on their own with a little encouragement from their parents!
I used to watch your TV show back when i was in school/college some 18 years ago. Now, after all this time, i am able to look you up on RUclips and keep up to date with whats going on. Top marks for longevity!👍
I'll always remember this video, Simon. You work miracles. I know you love badgers but this geese family and the swan dad and cygnet rescue remain in my mind. Best wishes from California. I hope you are doing better.
The surprised look on your face is almost as priceless as the parent's dedication to their little fluff balls. You do an amazing job. When you can successfully save one animal, it's wonderful. When you can successfully relocate an entire family of eight, it's just amazing.
That video made me so emotional. Thank you so much for looking after these animals. I actually helped a team of rescuers today in Cape Town. We rescued a family of Egyptian geese together with the dad and mom. It was intense, it is not an easy job!
Awesome job Simon and helpers! Definitely very emotional worrying how to not only relocate the family but being able to secure mom, dad & babies for relocation is just incredible!
What a Sweet Man Simon is & a genius with all animals!!😍💖💗 Now I know I'm not the only one who gets so emotional about the welfare of animals.😇🐾🐾👣👣🐾🐾😇💖💗😍
That was so amazing to see, and how the mom got the dad and even though they could fly away, they stuck together. It wouldn't surprise me if the geese understood that you were busy with trying to help, because the mom at one point walks into a confined space with the babies, so could be she has been caught and released into a better place before.
" There coming and their quacking like crazy." now that's pretty cool. I've never knew that Geese would be so determined and united like that to rescue their youngen's, that's pretty cool to witness that. And they were booking it back to the kids like crazy too.
You are just the sweetest man and everyone who helps! I really enjoy your videos, plus I learn so much about animals I don’t get to see over hear in California and about your society in England, thank you
Congratulations to all parties involved! Lol! Fabulous swoon inducing rescue. First time I've ever seen an Egyptian Goose. So different than our Grey's and Canadians and Chinese! This is a first with Dad and what Mom did? Astounding! I hope you preserved this forever. Thankyou WAF and bless you all!🤗🐾🙏💯🤘💐🍻🥂🍾
Oh that was so INCREDIBLY touching - I felt his anxiety and then joy (and tears of joy!) RIGHT in the core of my being. This man (and his team!) truly, TRULY cares about these animals. Sigh. I still can't believe that the whole entire family was together. What a sweet, wonderful result. Bravo!!!! 👏❤😊
Egyptian geese is very protective with their goslings! They’re good parents! I always visited them in the park ! I see a couple with 12 goslings and they’re together until the goslings became adult! I rarely see them in the water! They come to me when visit them!
Egyptian geese are very fascinating and wonderful creatures I'm among them regularly and I can safely say that they're very intelligent and social, friendly, lovable, funny, goofy, and absolutely beautiful (all this is true for every kinda of geese by the way). I adore them and love them to bits. I can totally understand why Ancient Egypts saw the Egyptian Geese as holy, because they are!
The passion you have for rescuing & saving animals in need never ceases to amaze me, my heart was in my mouth when the babies ended up next to the road. birds are incredibly smart though, I bet that's why mum went off to find dad, two against two to even the odds lol. I'm so glad the outcome was a good one.
It's called Egyptian goose and in some parts of Europe considered a problematic, invasive species because of its sometimes quite aggressive and destructive nature towards other species. That does however not mean that they don't deserve to exist and it's a great rescue release! :)
@Capri What I said applies to nesting season / when they have chicks and has been well documented - even in academic literature. Good for you, if you have found a friendly flock!
WOW! THAT was impressive, Simon!!!!! And suspenseful!!!! I was literally hanging onto my keyboard, watching that unfold. Brilliant! Such beautiful birds and such adorable little mites those babies are. Loved it, but I may have to go have a little lie down. You should, too. LOL! 😰❤️❤️
Not sure how I missed this one. Gosh darn Simon, that was quite the rescue! Not only being choked up with emotion that was quite breathtaking 'from' you, I thought your battery pack? was a heart holter monitor for a second, hehe!
Just wonderful! Me and 4 others from our local wildlife rehab couldn’t catch a single Canadian goose the other day with fishing line on his leg. You’re an inspiration!
Don't feel too bad. Me and two others tried to catch a hawk with an injured wing from a person's backyard, but we failed at that one. Turns out the hawk could still fly a bit on that injured wing and got up on a telephone wire, and then hopped off into god knows where.
Good job Simon. The adult geese were smart enough to know going into the net was risky. The second time they seemed to have concluded they had no choice, for flying off would leave their babies behind. Good job for the parent geese too, by staying with their family come what may.
Another Great Rescue by the Duo, and so funny to see them go into the net and actually get trapped on purpose so you could then set them free where they will be better off. well done guys.
Nabbed! You are a perfect predator, Simon! Caught the whole family in one swoop! What a lovely sight to see them wagging their tails in water and quacking blissfully to each other!
I'm so glad this had a happy ending. Relocating animals is always stressful, especially when they have babies. Haha, momma duck was smart to bring daddy duck for reinforcement.
Your patience is amazing as Is showing us your emotional side! Lovely work-you and your team did. I laughed when I saw mom come back with Dad. It was like-“alright I’ve had enough of this crap”! It’s almost human like as That is something we would do, as a parent, if someone messed with our babies!!! As always thank you for doing all that you do-along with the whole team😋
It was lovely how mum went and got dad to help rescue their babies. Waddling really fast is so cute.
Haha thank you! It was the first time we'd ever seen that happen!
It was lovely. She was like I'll get my husband to bite you in the bollocks Mr. you don't know who your dealing with.
Hahhahah exactly she went to get dad! Such a lovely family, all safe now. I’ve been a fan of your documentaries for years, and now I found you on RUclips! Sometimes it’s like a soap opera with splendid characters. Thank you so much for the incredible work, and the dedication you put into it
@J Scotland Why dafuq would u kill hornets?? They are absolutely harmless
and they're a endangered species!
@@kedoh75 I Love what you've replied! You made me and my parents laugh!!! 🤣🤣🤣
To think if they’d caught them first time, the Dad would have probably never found his babies again.
So sweet the mum went to go get him.
Simon, you are a miracle man. Bless you.
That's very kind! Thank you!
Can you imagine the conversation between the mum and dad !
😭😭😭
I managed to hold it together until simon got sniffly and then i lost it too haha.
💖💖💖
Well done guys!
Thank you for watching! It was quite an emotional rollercoaster for all involved that day...
The devotion of the parents and you guys had me on the edge of my seat and hardly able to breathe .beats any TV drama or blockbuster ..This is real life .You both did so well .That really was a wild goose chase with meaning .TERRIFIC !! *
Thank you so much, that's very kind! I'm glad you liked our video :)

Thank you very much! Even watching it back makes me shiver! I don't think my heart stopped pounding for a long time afterwards.
Very well put! Thank you! :D
Geese are called goslings!
Baby geese are called goslings not ducklings!
Marvelous bit of work! Congratulations to Simon and his helpers. This was not easy. Getting dad along too was essential since Egyptian Geese mate for life and mom couldn't deal with all the babies alone.
Thank you very much. It was definitely one of the more difficult rescues we have done with geese. It was amazing to get the whole family :)
Holy cow. The patience of a saint, dear Simon, and the suffering too. Thank you for your big heart and dry wit.
Thank you very much! :)
Simon was the sweetest man. I'm glad there are 100s of videos of him. He is missed by so many people who never met him. 💜
I love how geese are so fiercly protective of their babies. They're remarkably good parents. Incredible rescue. Simon is such a kind hearted man :)

These animal rescues keep you all in shape
Very much so! Who needs the gym when you're lifting deer every day? ;)
Your channel is medicine. Subbed and donated
Thank you so much for your kind support! That really means a lot to the team and patients at WAF :)
Wow. You all did an AWESOME job! Are Egyptian geese a more intelligent species? Mama goose's solution to get reinforcements (Papa goose) was pretty amazing. And yet, what you did was even more so, thankfully. Perfect job!
Thank you very much. We're not sure why she came back with dad. It's never happened to us before in over 38 years of rescuing!
Remarkable! Thank you for responding.
Egyptian geese are a very intelligent species of British goose their very intelligent and are more common in London and the south of England!
Jayne Eyre actually that is not the case geese and other waterfowl don’t bring food to the young the young stick with the parents and find food on their own with a little encouragement from their parents!
They mate for life too. Lovely animals
This remains one of my all time favorite videos. An impossible job superbly done.
Thank you!
Mumma goose was like they took the kids Jerry!
Jerry:They wha-?!
🤣😂
I used to watch your TV show back when i was in school/college some 18 years ago. Now, after all this time, i am able to look you up on RUclips and keep up to date with whats going on. Top marks for longevity!👍
Thank you for watching for so long! We hope you still like our work :)
I wonder why waterfowl like those nets so much. It’s very cute mom went to get dad.
We are not sure, any no other rescue that we know of uses that method, but we have had great success with it!
Probably because they are dark green & shady like dense reeds.
Mom left and came back with Big Daddy! Love it!!
Thank you for the time and dedication you all give to these animals. I'm so glad there are folks like you out there.
Thank you so much for your support!
I'll always remember this video, Simon. You work miracles. I know you love badgers but this geese family and the swan dad and cygnet rescue remain in my mind. Best wishes from California. I hope you are doing better.
You have such a deep voice! I would listen to all audiobooks that you would read!
Haha I will pass that on! ;)
The surprised look on your face is almost as priceless as the parent's dedication to their little fluff balls. You do an amazing job. When you can successfully save one animal, it's wonderful. When you can successfully relocate an entire family of eight, it's just amazing.
What an incredible rescue, and the geese were very lucky to have people like Simon nearby to help!
Thank you very much. Hopefully they are much happier now!
Yes, amazing that Mum flew off to get Dad, knowing exactly where he was..
Thanks..
Forget action movie, this is the stuff that we want!!! Well done! 😀
I bought a badger key ring from your centre when we bought in a injured bird yesterday🐦😄
Thank you very much for supporting us! I hope you like it :)
Mom went and got backup. It was on! lol.
That video made me so emotional. Thank you so much for looking after these animals. I actually helped a team of rescuers today in Cape Town. We rescued a family of Egyptian geese together with the dad and mom. It was intense, it is not an easy job!

Very nice people for rescuing the goose.
I hope it will live the rest of its life in peace and free
from pain and sufferings with it's warm family.
I’m emotional just watching you. Wonderful that dad was there too!! One happy family💕. Wonderful rescue. Thank you🥰
That was so amazing to see, and how the mom got the dad and even though they could fly away, they stuck together. It wouldn't surprise me if the geese understood that you were busy with trying to help, because the mom at one point walks into a confined space with the babies, so could be she has been caught and released into a better place before.
Simons last words 'Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful' Nuff said
" There coming and their quacking like crazy." now that's pretty cool. I've never knew that Geese would be so determined and united like that to rescue their youngen's, that's pretty cool to witness that. And they were booking it back to the kids like crazy too.
Omg..I love this..Duck Whisperer..thank you for rescuing this family! Cheers!!
The man has hypnotiesed them to do what schould be done. So gently and calm. The Goose Papa acting is intelligence.
You're all absolute angels, you have nothing but my admiration. Well done people

What a sweet man! I just love him! He even made me tear up!
What would we do without such wonderful people to rescue wildlife x
Wow, amazing, bless that little family.
I was so impressed and scared and nervous and now I'm HAPPY for the goose family. Whew.
You are just the sweetest man and everyone who helps! I really enjoy your videos, plus I learn so much about animals I don’t get to see over hear in California and about your society in England, thank you

Another awesome rescue Simon. On behalf of the animals you save, I want to say "Thank you."

Thank you very much :)
I love you, Simon. You're one of the best human beings on planet Earth
That's very kind of you! Thank you for your support :)
What a beautiful goose
Kathy Macomber thought the same thing. Incredible markings.
It's called Egyptian goose and in some parts of Europe considered a problematic, invasive species because of its sometimes quite aggressive and destructive nature towards other species. That does however not mean that they don't deserve to exist and it's a great rescue release! :)
Very interesting how invasive species are now a global problem
They are very pretty for sure :)
@Capri What I said applies to nesting season / when they have chicks and has been well documented - even in academic literature. Good for you, if you have found a friendly flock!
Love Simon. Such a big heart! ❤
That's very kind of you, thank you!

Loved it, but I may have to go have a little lie down. You should, too. LOL! 😰❤️❤️
Thank you for watching! It was definitely a good nights sleep that night for all involved!
Simon you are the best :) and what a sweet mom to go and find daddy so he could help her..
These birds are amazing parents ❤️ you and your team are amazing, thank you for helping them ❤️
Simon you are a man with a heart of gold. Don't ever change! :)
Thank you, that's very kind!
Wildlife Aid it's the least I can do for all the amazing work you have done. ^-^
I wish Toronto, ON had such a wonderful rescue team here in Canada. You guys rock!
Mama duck: "Just you wait until my husband hears about this!"
*flies off*
omg when they ran towards the babies ❤
Not sure how I missed this one. Gosh darn Simon, that was quite the rescue! Not only being choked up with emotion that was quite breathtaking 'from' you, I thought your battery pack? was a heart holter monitor for a second, hehe!

He got those geese to walk into that net. Incredible super power !
Good job Simon.
The adult geese were smart enough to know going into the net was risky. The second time they seemed to have concluded they had no choice, for flying off would leave their babies behind. Good job for the parent geese too, by staying with their family come what may.
Well done! Goose family saved! Bless you Wild Life Rescue! Love and hugs to Simon!
Thank you so much!
NICE TOO SEE THE GOOSE FAMILY Together and safe from cars
Thank you, Simon.
Another Great Rescue by the Duo, and so funny to see them go into the net and actually get trapped on purpose so you could then set them free where they will be better off. well done guys.
Very nice!🐤🐾😘
Another great rescue, people. Thank you.
Well done! So heart warming. I love watching these rescues.
Nabbed! You are a perfect predator, Simon! Caught the whole family in one swoop! What a lovely sight to see them wagging their tails in water and quacking blissfully to each other!
Thank you! Releases really are the best bit of the job :)
I'm so glad this had a happy ending. Relocating animals is always stressful, especially when they have babies. Haha, momma duck was smart to bring daddy duck for reinforcement.
Awwww the mom went to get dad n they cams walking back together it looked so cute !!!!❤️😇‼️
I'm so glad we managed to get the whole family! :D
Mum brought reinforcements...😂
It seems so! :D
Your patience is amazing as
Is showing us your emotional side! Lovely work-you and your team did. I laughed when I saw mom come back with Dad. It was like-“alright I’ve had enough of this crap”!
It’s almost human like as
That is something we would do, as a parent, if someone messed with our babies!!!
As always thank you for doing all that you do-along with the whole team😋
