Norwegian Viva - Day 9| St. Thomas Port Tour, Caribbean Line Dancing, Syd Norman's Rock Night

Come join us, Mel & Caroline aka the TravelFlirts as we continue our 11 day transatlantic cruise from spectacular Lisbon, Portugal to Miami, US.
Our 11 day adventure included stops at the exotic and mysterious Islands of the Azores, the chilled and laid back St. Thomas AVI, and a final stop at Taino bay on the beautiful lush tropical island of Dominican Republic.
In this episode, we finally are able to get off the Viva! It's been 5 continuous sea days & now we've landed in St. Thomas. But before we can get off we have to complete the immigration process. For US citizens it was a breeze! For non US citizens it took around 3 hours!! We get off early, no particular plans, but come with us as we show you the port layout...see what's available in case you don't fancy going on an excursion! Later we head back to the Viva & head to the pool to cool off! The weather is perfect & we take advantage of this, there may or may not be some ice cold frozen cocktails consumed! We meet up with Jay & Dee and head to the Indulge for lunch & then find a great location for sail away! St. Thomas is one of the most beautiful ports to sail away from...simply stunning...We spend the evening enjoying a beautiful meal with family & friends in Hudsons & then head to Syd's Pour house to Rock the evening away with the incredibly talented group! A night cap at the Metropolitan bar listening to David & Stephanie ends our day. Wow what a fabulous day!
Tomorrow we are heading to Taino bay, DR. Can't wait to check out the new changes they've added to the port... stayed tuned!!

Does the line use St. Thomas as a US entry point since it is a short stop?
May be a bit mean, but I hope the US citizens will realize what we non US citzens have to go through when the EU (pre) screning starts for them. For solo travellers; in my experience they always ask in the MDR or any restauarant if you want to share a table or one foe yourself. Like these overviews of your day.

St Thomas makes sense for completing entry process into the US .. it was actually meant to be a fairly quick process, even for non US citizens .. but apparently many people were traveling without the appropriate visas & had to have fingerprints taken etc etc .. it slowed the whole process down considerably… yes patience is key when traveling into a country where visas etc are needed! We have traveled with Dee & Jay from @parodeejay several times before & some of the trips are planned & some just happen with timing etc .. they are so much fun to travel with & super nice people to boot! 😊
