It is similar in an aquarium. If you've got foamy bubbles you're probably overfeeding! I guess a pond has a few more variables, since it is outside and you have less control over what falls into it.

Another great video Kev. Some people freak out when they build their first pond, and see that. This is a great video to help them understand it's normal for the first year to experience different cycles as their pond matures. I just love seeing your natural looking ponds. They are always beautiful to look at. Thanks ❤️

I use to get foam from on surface. Of pond From the last waterfall , but since adding a large bog filter and stream before header pond and waterfall's ive not had any this year , its winter here in uk my thermal covers are back in use while water temperature is lower , the generator and heaters are on standby just incase the temperature drops anymore.

Hello Kev, thank you for your videos. I have a request for how to clean the filter media pads on my waterfall and skimmer filters. I use a hose and spray clean but wondering if there is a better way. Thanks for your time Kev! Have a great day and keep up the great info!

It’s kinda the only way. You could put them in the sun and dry them out, then the muck falls off but it takes to long.

I am 100% overfeeding.. but first the first time in 40 years, the koi have started eating the Lillie's. I had to pull them all out and build cages for them. I need to remove some koi I think.

Aaaaaahhhh, is THAT why! I got to stop smacking the kids on the back of the head, telling em to stop peeing in the pond. Wasn't them the whole time. 😛

😂 don’t be so quick to rule it out. Although urine will just spike the ammonia, briefly.
