Ok.
So, more curiosities:
1) the Ragers Locust in Gears Judgment were almost exterminated because Myrrah used them a lot like prescott with the Onyx guards, so thats why we dont see them in the original trilogy.
2) Sophia was kidnapped by CGO gears....in the comics, the cgo killed cgo deserters and if they were women, they "used" them on farms (you will already know what for ..), her whereabouts are unknown although very perhaps she is dead.
3) Loomis was falsely given the credit of saving Halvo Bay, which is why he saw his statue, although that character along with his squad of onyx guards would die between the age of 12 in Gears of War 1 by being armored and burned alive by the locust.
4) the ship they use is the one seen in gears of war 3 in a cinematic, so this happens the same day that Dom dies but earlier until the end of act 4 in gears of war 3.
5) Paduk is a cgo deserter, he and Sophia Hendricks, they deserted almost after gears judg. remember Paduk.
6) all the protagonism that C. Carmine didnt have in gears 3, he has it here and i loved that.

Fair enough. When Paduk says "he" I thought he meant a Locust. But now that I think about it more, everyone refers to the Grubs as "they". Never he/she unless it's a Berserker or key character (RAAM, Karn, Myrrah etc).

Kantus's are Therons too... they're turned into Locust priests. My only sources are Gears 1 original ending, theron riding the hydra (skorge's pet) and Gears 3, armored kantus speak back to Queen Myrah in theron language.
Originally they were gonna switch between Marcus and Dom's Journey and Baird and Cole's Journey. They cut it to just be the 1 hour earlier in act 1.
By the way, the significance of the tags Paduk recovered from Sofia’s kidnappers were that they were COG tags from the guy he killed. This means that for some fucked it reason, the COG tracked down Sofia and sent a squad to kidnap her. This makes Paduk more bitter towards the COG of course and that’s why he tells Baird to never see each other again.
Most likely that she was kidnapped because of Prescott and she was taken to Azura (considering that mostly the elite were sent there meaning Onyx Guards, which she was one) also since Azura was conquered by Myrah it could be assumed she perished in the invasion of Azura

@@AELEL122 Comics disprove both these points as she wasn't kidnapped by normal COG but rather COG deserters who used women in "farms"for you know what..........
@@88GAF While you're not wrong, it wasn't just the deserters doing that. The main COG were, too.
Fun fact about Paduk! The UIR actually made the hammer of dawn then the COG stole it, but Paduk was part of UIR civil war that wanted to launch their own satellites and continue the fight. Also the other helicopters and ships you see going to Azura are mostly UIR soldiers/civilians who were veterans of both the pendulum wars and locust conflicts.
Didn't Adam design the Hammer of Dawn? I thought he was the one who came with that idea.
@@juanjosedelpinorivas7099 Adam made the designs but the UIR built it or tried to but the COG stole them before they could finish. How the UIR got the plans first tho...your guess is as good as mine.
@@silverace4741 After playing Gears 5 most likely the UIR advanced more than Adam in the development of the weapon but then they got stuck with the targeting system. I mean, using beacons required soldiers to be deployed in the critical areas, which was a massive disaster in terms of logistics, Adam simply solved the problem a lot faster and of course the COG obtained those blueprints. Adam most likely covered the holes in his plans thanks to the UIR's 'help'
@@juanjosedelpinorivas7099 ah all right. I've sadly been unable to play gears 5 as of yet so I'm 'mostly' unaware of this they've reviled in it.
@@silverace4741 I've been almost two years away from the game already, but I remember the desert section of the game as well as the prologue in Gears of War 4 depicted this. Del mentioned how developed some of the technology was regarding space program in the UIR but how bad it was in other areas. In Gears 4 the prologue in the Pendulum War iirc had an assault to recover critical Intel regarding the Hammer.

So the reason why Gears Judgement is so hated is for a number of reasons.
1: What came before.
So we had gears 3 with the best campaign ever. With a season pass with plenty of multiplayer content and maps. Gears judgement on the other hand was released for the same price (60$) and a season pass for 30$ just as gears 3 did. The only difference being that gears judgement was released with only 4 multiplayer maps and 3 maps for a new game mode called overrun. So in total 7 maps. Wich means a lack of content compared to gears 3 that had 10 multiplayer maps at launch (for the same price btw). By the time Judgement was released Gears 3 had 25 multiplayer maps to play on.
2. The changes.
The total removal of having 2 weapons and a pistol, now reduced to only 2 weapons and no pistol at all. Spawning with grenades wich used to be a pick up on the map, resulting in grenade spam and promoting bad gameplay. The removal of DBNO in multiplayer, this totally changed the whole meta of the game and removed the very thing that made gears unique in the first place. The total removal of being able to play as the locust in versus multiplayer, so cog vs cog (lame). This lead to the multiplayer not having that many playable characters. It had the smallest roster of characters to choose from in a gears game. This was recived as the worst gears multiplayer experience in gears history. Classic game modes like Guardian, Execution and Koth missing. Not to mention the fact that when the first dlc map pack rolled out, it was impossible to find games, because everyone was already bored of playing the same 4 maps over and ovar again. No one was gonna pay extra money for a game with worse gameplay and maps then the previous title. So naturally everyone went back to gears 3.
3. The campaign.
The campaign was so forgettable with no memorable moments. Story being "meh" at best. Why? Because the characters barely interact with eachother, cole not being cole, no one reacts to the situation they are in and no banther between characters, making everything feel very dull. Not to mention the repeated hold down this area and deploy turrets, over and over again. I can list a ton more but these are the big main reasons. Most of them are multiplayer related and if you just want to play the campaign, then I guess the game is aight. But all other gears games outshine this one for sure.

I think Sofia was kidnapped by the COG and then sent to a breeding farm. Pretty much they get women pregnant and make them give birth to as many babies as possible and if she doesn't die from it then she will be as broken as Doms wife was in Gears 2.
