Yes, Jotaro could have easily started the fight by immediately crushing Kenshiro’s heart, but how often has he started a fight immediately with an unknown enemy by going for the heart Crush. By that same logic of immediately starting with a powerful move, Kenshiro could have started the fight and gone through the entire fight intangible and just gone up to Jotaro while intangible and killed him. Strength and durability mean nothing when you can not touch an enemy that can kill you with a single touch. This is not Gurren Lagann. You can not touch the untouchable here.

Ben needs to be sent to the salt mines. the feat you mentioned doesnt come close to having a sky scraper drop on you. if kenshiro just survived it that would be one thing but he acted like it wasnt even there. meaning it didnt come close to scratching his durability. nothing star platinum has ever done comes close to that

While flipping multiple cars attached to each other over a cliff is very powerful, it cannot match the force needed to punch through giant blocks of diamond-like teeth, or ripping the top off of a building, and flinging it across the city. One of the main reasons that Star Platinum's strength meant nothing, is intangibility. Another is that force does not work on Kenshiro. Only Stabbing attacks could really do anything, and this is proven by him being hurt by being stabbed in the gut by the knife finger guy, while being able to walk through collapsing skyscrapers. One thing not used in the battle, however, that is literally a free win for Kenshiro, is one of his ultimate techniques: Sōryū Tenra. Upon using this, his opponent and himself are transported to a world of nothingness. All armor, barriers, and defenses are destroyed, and the combatants are forced to fight to the death only using their bare hands, and the loser is erased from existence. Really, Kenshiro has so many crazy and weird attacks that it doesn't matter what Jotaro does. Kenshiro wins no matter what. Unless you use the non-cannon Reality Overwrite thing, but even then, you need to hit Kenshiro to use it, so Musō Tensei negates that.

The only reason Shin was able to injure Kenshiro as badly as he did was because Shin was the successor and master of Nanto Koshū Ken, and could use _his_ ki to enhance his attacks similar to how Kenshiro fights. It should be noted that Shin could shatter diamonds with his _fingers,_ yet Kenshiro still defeated him in the end. Honestly, this battle could have been decided based on Kenshiro's _Tenha Kassatsu_ + ki clones, since this was one of the tricks DIO used against him that Star Platinum could not protect him from.
Well Stands are part of people, so Star Platinum would have followed into Soryu Tenra, so I guess they didn't use it because it wouldn't have affected the course of the battle at all?
Mordirit Doesn’t really matter since Kenshiro is far stronger and much more durable than SP. Really Jotaro’s only advantage was the time stop and speed, and even that doesn’t make a difference since Kenshiro’s durability is far beyond anything that Star Platinum can do
well araki messed up a bit. I still don't like how Jotaro died but araki messed up his research. What Araki wanted us to focus on was the toughness of diamonds: How much force is needed to fracture an object. But diamonds are the HARDEST material: the amount of force needed to cut a different material. Diamonds in reality are actually quite brittle and can be easily broken. But this is just another, "Araki f-ed up his research" moments.
Remember Raoh's supercell cloud punch? In the manga, he was fully capable of *CASUALLY SLAPPING ONE OUT* against a minor mook. Kenshiro survived *THAT* level of attack potency and raw power. Jotaro and SP can't even deflect a falling steamroller...
Avalos Altair Miraos well DIO and The World are punching it so it adds to the weight but I doubt Kenshiro would get crushed by it. He'll probavly just stand straight and let it fall on his head and walk away unharmed.
It seems like Screw Attack didn't understand ken's higher tier abilities like reformed/adapted Muso Tensei, using past opponents abilities, instantly learning enemy opponents entire fighting styles, and his speed of countering 10,000 punches while simultaneously throwing 10,000 of his own punches, projecting a Ki field that can reverse gravity and make people instantly explode, much much more.

Well I mean Jotaro is pretty broken as well. He’s commonly dubbed as “the strongest stand” by the mangaka of JoJo, Hirohiko Araki (even though Jotaro isn’t THE strongest). I think it’s a little unfair to say that Kenshiro can touch Star Platinum if he himself doesn’t have a stand, but then Ken would be at an impossible disadvantage so I get why they didn’t go with that. Idk I think all of the Death Battle crap survives off of fandom toxicity so I often find it pretty stupid.

Ken wins because Musuo Tensei is a hard counter to SP's almost unbreakable defense. If it weren't for Musuo Tensei, Kenshiro would've never been able to lay a finger on Jotaro. I initially bet on Jotaro for this matchup, but I later realized that Musuo Tensei is too hax.

You know my thing with Ben's argument is that they never said Jotaro CAN'T win, just that in most cases he'd get hit first either by carelessness or surprise, and getting 1 hit is a far lower bar to pass then what it takes for Kenshiro to stop.
Well to be fair, *in the analysis*, the strongest feat they gave Kenshiro was surviving the sky scrapper falling on his head which, by their own numbers, would have been equivalent to a bug landing on you when compared to the power behind SP punches that broke through solid walls of diamond; it's like saying "oh this guy survived a flick, of course he can survive Mount Everest being dropped on his head from outer space"; I think it was more just bad explanation by the narration, because from what they said Kenshiro could do and how much damage he could take, a single one of those diamond wall breaking punches should have turned him into broken pieces of bone and flesh.

Okay being a giant death battle fanboy I watch their podcast every Friday, Sunday on RUclips. So my first problem is that they have addressed that when they get info on a character they do not pick directly from canon, instead they only pick info that is about the character within reason, like on a commercial where kenshiro started straight up flying and blew up the sun by sneezing they would not take that as info to use in the fight, but instead they would take something like from the movie that is clearly supposed to represent the character according to the manga and show though it is not directly canon, also they also mentioned why JoJo and star didn't go straight into crushing his heart in the battle, they didn't do that because JoJo never did that reguraly in the show or manga and if you assume JoJo is going to start the battle with his most powerful move than kenshiro would have start off with his most powerful move musotensei , by the way all this info can be found on deathbattlecast is star platinum light speed go watch it and learn some interesting facts about behind the scenes of death battle.

Kenshiro has more experience and like the video said, leagues stronger than Jotaro. All he really needed to do was attack Jotaro directly and just ignore and keep Star Plat at bay, that's it. SP's attack ain't gonna cut it either, Kenshiro can take tremendous amounts of punishments more than SP can deliver. DB hasn't even touched how Ken survived a full hit from his brother, Raoh, who can punch a hole through a building all the way up to the clouds. And yes, Musou Tensei is pretty broken; aside from intangibility and technique emulation, as stated in the final battle with Kaioh, Ken is at a complete state of focus in Musou Tensei in addition to precognition. Which means he would know what his opponent will do next, and lay his appropriate counter-attack. Musou Tensei is fucking god mode, the main inspiration to every shounen power-up you can think of. Most notably, Ultra Instinct.
And then there's Soryu Tenra. Which technically Kenshiro's uncle knows the technique, it is the ONE THING that can counter World Over Heaven. Three words: Dimension of Void.
Don't even start with that one, that skill is so broken that it took a literal Divine Intervention from the Goddess to stop that bullshittery. It even stops death itself so you can be beaten up several times over, a fate worse than death realized.

Just pointing out that at the end of Seth's vid he straight up says Jotaro has no chance of winning against Kenshiro. He was just debunking the facts they tried to use as a basis to the fight. In terms who I think would win, it would be a tough call. It would all come down to how inventive Jotaro can be (which is typically why he always come out on top). So its genius vs martial arts prodigy. Also don't forget Kenshiro comes from a pretty screwed up world, where survival is everything. I would have rather seen Jonathan Joestar vs Kenshiro...cause Hamon vs Hokuto Shinken.
You know for everyone saying Jotaro could have just stopped time and gone for the heart crush, you know what fine, even though he barely ever starts off with it, let's say he does that. Now you will also have to permit Kenshiro to be intangible from the start. Basically, heart crush fails and then Kenshiro get's one hit in, stays intangible for the rest of the fight until Jotaro dies, congratulations JOJO fans you just gave Jotaro a very humiliating defeat.

Anyone who bothered to research about Sakuya knows she would wreak Dio so hard it isn't even funny. Only reason that one minute melee even happen was because Sakuya is partially inspired by Dio.

The only reason Silver chariot stayed after Pol's death was because it became a requiem stand. A better example of a stand staying alive after death would be Notorious B.I.G or hell to a certain extent Killer Queen since after Kira became a ghost assassin he still had Killer Queen which may mean stands still exist post death, it's just they don't have enough range to stay inside the living world and need to stick with their users ghost as a result.

Meaning that Star receives ORDERS only at the speed of thought. The time it takes for Jotaro to order Star to attack is the same amount of time it takes for Kenshiro to become intangible. It’s really no contest. Also, that whole list of things you say “aren’t canon” includes the very film in which the story OF Kenshiro is introduced (the ORIGINAL Fist of the North Star movie). Yeah that whole "if a stand user dies so does their stand" thing is a general rule. There are exceptions like Cheap Trick in part 4 or Notorious B.I.G is part 5, (spoilers) the latter of which REQUIRES the user to die.
Wow, binging all these reactions to death battle really shows that Ben is very akin to those debunk video creators, alot of the ones who make those videos simply do so out of spite and ignore the other character alot just to play up their star child, besides all that "the movie is non cannon" stuff is actually wrong, because the creators said its not non cannon, its essentially a retelling of the story with a slightly altered view, and that everything Kenshiro did in that movie is completely possible to him
While Star is likely strong enough to give off two megatons in terms of power through the diamond punching feat, it kinda doesn't matter since Kenshiro can one shot basically anything. Even then, Kenshiro's ability to just be outright invincible is something Jotaro can't really fight against. And Kenshiro's more useful arsenal gave him more of an edge when stalling out Star Platinum to have an opening and getting in close for a kill
Looking back at this, Kenshiro was pretty much a jerk to Jotaro and Joseph as he just approached them, killed Jotaro, and then walked away. He pretty much attacked them for like no reason whatsoever.

“Polneref dies, silver chariot sticks around” well his body’s dead but his spirit lives on inside cocojumbo the turtle. As for silver chariot, becoming separate from polerneref was kinda part of its ability when it went requiem since the entire purpose of its ability was to keep the arrow away from diavolo and keep moving. I’m not entirely sure if it stuck around after silver chariot requiem was defeated, I don’t think it is though, since we never see it again, which makes him the only person to have there stand permanently destroyed while they stick around.
you could also watch the Death Battle Cast that came after this episode. in the beginning they always talk about and answer questions from the DB that came out that week.

Yeah no anime main protagonist was ever if not rarely seen using their best move at the beginning of a fight, they fight and take the time to understand their opponents whenever they have the chance and think of the best way to defeat their opponent based on what they have learned during the fight.

Okay, Nate, you kept saying "I forget who's power that is" when it came to seeing Ken being able to see SP, and when he did the mirage clones. So I assume you thought they were powers he mimicked/copied from allies and rivals (as stated near the end of Ken's analysis). But they were listed earlier as parts of his own natural Hoki/Chi powers. I apologize if this has already been pointed out, I just don't want to scroll through 300 comments to check.
Well, people are commenting recently, so I might as well too. All Kenshiro had to do was get a quick touch on Jo. He got a barely noticable poke in the middle of the fight, which ended the fight already. Doesn't even need a skyscraper feat.
To be fair, the strength feat might still have been useful as a way of demonstrating that Star Platinum would be knocked away by someone of Kenshiro's strength. It's an entity that couldn't hold up a 25-ton road roller, against a martial arts master that casually hauled around a 300-ton boulder without powering up.

Ben needs to be sent to the salt mines. the feat you mentioned doesnt come close to having a sky scraper drop on you. if kenshiro just survived it that would be one thing but he acted like it wasnt even there. meaning it didnt come close to scratching his durability. nothing star platinum has ever done comes close to that

Ben is so mad because of the strength thing. One word: Intangibility. If you cannot touch someone, strength means nothing. While flipping multiple cars attached to each other over a cliff is very powerful, it cannot match the force needed to punch through giant blocks of diamond-like teeth, or ripping the top off of a building, and flinging it across the city. One of the main reasons that Star Platinum's strength meant nothing, is intangibility. Another is that force does not work on Kenshiro. Only Stabbing attacks could really do anything, and this is proven by him being hurt by being stabbed in the gut by the knife finger guy, while being able to walk through collapsing skyscrapers. One thing not used in the battle, however, that is literally a free win for Kenshiro, is one of his ultimate techniques: Sōryū Tenra. Upon using this, his opponent and himself are transported to a world of nothingness. All armor, barriers, and defenses are destroyed, and the combatants are forced to fight to the death only using their bare hands, and the loser is erased from existence. Really, Kenshiro has so many crazy and weird attacks that it doesn't matter what Jotaro does. Kenshiro wins no matter what. Unless you use the non-cannon Reality Overwrite thing, but even then, you need to hit Kenshiro to use it, so Musō Tensei negates that.

Minor correction: stabbing attacks generally _don't_ work on Kenshiro. He _has_ taken bullets to the body without suffering any damage. The only reason Shin was able to injure Kenshiro as badly as he did was because Shin was the successor and master of Nanto Koshū Ken, and could use _his_ ki to enhance his attacks similar to how Kenshiro fights. It should be noted that Shin could shatter diamonds with his _fingers,_ yet Kenshiro still defeated him in the end.
Honestly, this battle could have been decided based on Kenshiro's _Tenha Kassatsu_ + ki clones, since this was one of the tricks DIO used against him that Star Platinum could not protect him from.

What Araki wanted us to focus on was the toughness of diamonds: How much force is needed to fracture an object. But diamonds are the HARDEST material: the amount of force needed to cut a different material. Diamonds in reality are actually quite brittle and can be easily broken. But this is just another, "Araki f-ed up his research" moments.

Avalos Altair Miraos well DIO and The World are punching it so it adds to the weight but I doubt Kenshiro would get crushed by it. He'll probavly just stand straight and let it fall on his head and walk away unharmed.
It seems like Screw Attack didn't understand ken's higher tier abilities like reformed/adapted Muso Tensei, using past opponents abilities, instantly learning enemy opponents entire fighting styles, and his speed of countering 10,000 punches while simultaneously throwing 10,000 of his own punches, projecting a Ki field that can reverse gravity and make people instantly explode, much much more.

Okay being a giant death battle fanboy I watch their podcast every Friday, Sunday on RUclips. So my first problem is that they have addressed that when they get info on a character they do not pick directly from canon, instead they only pick info that is about the character within reason, like on a commercial where kenshiro started straight up flying and blew up the sun by sneezing they would not take that as info to use in the fight, but instead they would take something like from the movie that is clearly supposed to represent the character according to the manga and show though it is not directly canon, also they also mentioned why JoJo and star didn't go straight into crushing his heart in the battle, they didn't do that because JoJo never did that reguraly in the show or manga and if you assume JoJo is going to start the battle with his most powerful move than kenshiro would have start off with his most powerful move musotensei , by the way all this info can be found on deathbattlecast is star platinum light speed go watch it and learn some interesting facts about behind the scenes of death battle.

Kenshiro has more experience and like the video said, leagues stronger than Jotaro. All he really needed to do was attack Jotaro directly and just ignore and keep Star Plat at bay, that's it. SP's attack ain't gonna cut it either, Kenshiro can take tremendous amounts of punishments more than SP can deliver.
DB hasn't even touched how Ken survived a full hit from his brother, Raoh, who can punch a hole through a building all the way up to the clouds. And yes, Musou Tensei is pretty broken; aside from intangibility and technique emulation, as stated in the final battle with Kaioh, Ken is at a complete state of focus in Musou Tensei in addition to precognition. Which means he would know what his opponent will do next, and lay his appropriate counter-attack.
Musou Tensei is fucking god mode, the main inspiration to every shounen power-up you can think of. Most notably, Ultra Instinct.
And then there's Soryu Tenra. Which technically Kenshiro's uncle knows the technique, it is the ONE THING that can counter World Over Heaven. Three words:
Dimension of Void.
Don't even start with that one, that skill is so broken that it took a literal Divine Intervention from the Goddess to stop that bullshittery. It even stops death itself so you can be beaten up several times over, a fate worse than death realized.

In terms who I think would win, it would be a tough call. It would all come down to how inventive Jotaro can be (which is typically why he always come out on top). So its genius vs martial arts prodigy. Also don't forget Kenshiro comes from a pretty screwed up world, where survival is everything.

The only reason Silver chariot stayed after Pol's death was because it became a requiem stand. A better example of a stand staying alive after death would be Notorious B.I.G or hell to a certain extent Killer Queen since after Kira became a ghost assassin he still had Killer Queen which may mean stands still exist post death, it's just they don't have enough range to stay inside the living world and need to stick with their users ghost as a result.

Meaning that Star receives ORDERS only at the speed of thought. The time it takes for Jotaro to order Star to attack is the same amount of time it takes for Kenshiro to become intangible. Even then, Kenshiro's ability to just be outright invincible is something Jotaro can't really fight against. And Kenshiro's more useful arsenal gave him more of an edge when stalling out Star Platinum to have an opening and getting in close for a kill

“Polneref dies, silver chariot sticks around” well his body’s dead but his spirit lives on inside cocojumbo the turtle. As for silver chariot, becoming separate from polerneref was kinda part of its ability when it went requiem since the entire purpose of its ability was to keep the arrow away from diavolo and keep moving. I’m not entirely sure if it stuck around after silver chariot requiem was defeated, I don’t think it is though, since we never see it again, which makes him the only person to have there stand
permanently destroyed while they stick around.
You know this was one sided when Death Battle had to LOW BALL Kenshiro just so Jotaro could have a chance.

Yeah no anime main protagonist was ever if not rarely seen using their best move at the beginning of a fight, they fight and take the time to understand their opponents whenever they have the chance and think of the best way to defeat their opponent based on what they have learned during the fight.

Okay, Nate, you kept saying "I forget who's power that is" when it came to seeing Ken being able to see SP, and when he did the mirage clones. So I assume you thought they were powers he mimicked/copied from allies and rivals (as stated near the end of Ken's analysis). But they were listed earlier as parts of his own natural Hoki/Chi powers.

Well, people are commenting recently, so I might as well too. All Kenshiro had to do was get a quick touch on Jo. He got a barely noticable poke in the middle of the fight, which ended the fight already. Doesn't even need a skyscraper feat.
To be fair, the strength feat might still have been useful as a way of demonstrating that Star Platinum would be knocked away by someone of Kenshiro's strength. It's an entity that couldn't hold up a 25-ton road roller, against a martial arts master that casually hauled around a 300-ton boulder without powering up.
