Hi Chris. I'm an 82 year old granny from Pinetown, near Durban South Africa. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and have done for many months now. You have a delightful sense of humour too.
It's wonderful how open the whole area is. It's now usable just with what you've done and I'm sure you aren't finished. Marvelous job. I appreciate you bringing us along for the ride and adventure. Thanks, Chris.
It's mesmerizing watching the precision and ease with which you operate heavy equipment making something that requires hard won skills look so effortless and smooth, thanks for taking the time to take me along and bring all into your operation. Ray
Crazy how much sunlight is now hitting the house and the yard around it. Personally I would have left some of those trees up but I understand the risk of leaving them there. It’s looking great Chris.
Remember too, about every 5 years they are close enough to the Atlantic to get Hurricanes and Ice storms. I used to live about 2 hrs north of Chris, and at least 6 major hurricanes/ tornadoes in 19 years passed thru our area. We took direct hits from Floyd, Isabel, Gaston, Dennis and a couple others. When my hubby asked where i wanted to live when he retired, I said “somewhere where there are no hurricanes! Lol” so we are in East TN. Still gotta watch out for straight line winds in these hollers though. And no trees taller than 20 feet within 50 feet of the house! Lol
Also have to be aware that trees that grew up amongst other trees usually have much shallower roots, they're not used to standing alone and are more likely to be pushed over by high winds. I had a neighbor clear cut his woods that adjoined mine... I ended up losing dozens of good old hardwood trees in the following years because of this.
Side scarred Pines like that are not diseased as much as lightening scars or past bark scrapes. Continued great work on transforming the image of an old homestead - site improvements. Barney is a good hauler for you.
Got it opening on up back there now Chris !! starting to look totally different now... Great as always !! Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
Thank you for allow us to participate in the knowledge of why sometimes you burn and others you haul off logs. While we don’t need all the details, it helps us to understand that when the market is glutted, you can’t give it away…not even as firewood (so burn pile is best). Then other times it’s because you don’t have a qualifying load (to make a haul worth the time and fuel) for getting it to sawmill.
The property already is looking so different and there will be more to be done with it all now, thanks to you experience in dropping all the trees that you have. Enjoy your videos. Thank you for always taking all of us along, fully appreicated. How is your new cabin coming along??
The transformation here at this property is a great example of your process thinking to make each site spectacular and in a sense safe. TIMBER. Whole lots of firewood especially Oak trees. We had an oak tree in our yard years back that in a heavy wind you could literally watch the ground move as the root ball swayed with the wind. After cutting tree down we found out that the tree had root rot and the center was diseased bad and would have fallen into the house with the right wind had we not had it removed. I had someone grind the stump down 4 feet below surface and that was it, threat gone and about 2 cords of prime firewood for the fireplace.
Smart move! We did the same, took 14 trees out of 35 in a one-acre lot, then three months later Hurricane Isabel took out two more(but they didnt touch the house). So glad that was done!
You root out much Trees by and round the Cabin. Have much Fun by the great Oak. This Trunk cut You and load the of the Dump Truck and Drive the down. How ever a great Daywork what You make. Gladd my of the next Video from this to remodel Work. 💪👌👍
Speaking to the stick situation, it's cool man. All of us have the Goldfish memory span sometimes, and in those moments many can look directly at a thing we need to pick-up, use, take with, etc. Then still leave it behind or forget about it despite telling ourselves, "Grab this before you forget." Then promptly forget or convince ourselves that we grabbed the thing until we actually need it.
You’re getting a lot of big logs off this job. You’re going to need all the brush you can get to burn all those big stumps. I liked the way that cabin was setting in all those trees but I can understand why he wanted to clear them out. It’s a nice cabin and if one of those massive trees fell on it, it would be destroy.
When you’re loading logs can you use the thumb along with the grapple to work like a logging heal boom? Or does the grapple rotator take all three? Functions. This is the machine you can use the thumb and clean up bucket with, with a third valve?
That customer is going to have a real nice yard and area for his borses if they keep it a horse farm. Possibly a riding farm. Liability insurance killed most of them in Michigan when I was a teen.
Chris, I am a long time fan of your channel and I understand you are working to your client's instructions but why was it necessary to take most of these beautiful mature trees down? Before it was such a beautiful sight and the likelihood of any of these trees coming. does on the house fairly remote given the number of them.I will be interested to see what the owner wants as an outcome.
The Depots cull pile has some interesting stuff sometimes. I go by and look and think I could use that then some sense rises from the depths and I leave it alone. No matter how warped stuff is it doesn't last long at 70 percent off. Someone will make it work.
Love the show, been watching for years. Question though, I'm not electrician or expert, but i thought (I'm in AZ) electrical had to be in conduit and a junction had to be accessible, like in a junction box 🤔
Did you mean the Sacred OAF? a.k.a. Bubba Bealy? Or are you Sacred Oak Druid in NC? They thought oaks were tied to rain, thunder, and lightning as they got struck the most. The big ones oozed black water, good for wounds.
This land owner has some serious deep pockets, I like the way he preserves farm land and does not destroy it .

There was a collective "Bless You" from all of us when Chris sneezed.
Chris is a money making machine. He sells everything that can be and makes videos while he's doing it. Good for him.
It's wonderful how open the whole area is. It's now usable just with what you've done and I'm sure you aren't finished. Marvelous job. I appreciate you bringing us along for the ride and adventure. Thanks, Chris.
These are my favourite kind of projects. Cheers from Sydney Australia.

It’s amazing how much better the house looks by taking down some trees. You make your job look easy. Keep up the great videos
To me that 'mess' looks just like a typical construction site. With the "snap of your fingers moment" it'll be all shined up. Well done!

Job well done 👍🏻 10:22 bless you love the ending of the video
Wow, it`s really starting to open up nice, you can see sunlight now.
Good Work... 👍
Got it opening on up back there now Chris !! starting to look totally different now... Great as always !! Have a Great Evening, And, On too the Next !!
I thought you were being a bit optimistic trying to grab three logs but you got a lot closer thank I thought you would. Thanks for sharing.
Looking bigger in the area with the trees you taken down. Thanks for the video
Rotating grapples are so nice to have. Even nicer when they come with a saw. Perfect for cutting off those rootballs
Making good use out of the grapple . I’m sure it pays for itself self handling logs .
Lot's of medium sized tree's on this job Chris, you really have that area opened up and all kinds of sunlight now.
Liking what you have gotten done so far.
That crooked tree would make good timber at Lowes 😂
Don't have to wait to get the twisted banana lumber.😂

I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHRIS 😊

sure makes a big mess to make it look great . nice work sir. cheers.
Those are seriously heavy stumps.
Like the video and let the sunlight in this job , love the look .
Looking a lot better Chris💯💯
Oak trees are beautiful. I hope you got that limb off at some point! Lol. Definitely more sunshine coming in.

Really great way to remove trees! Best part is no need to grind any stumps!
Looking good Chris its great to watch you move trees around
Around five minutes Chris says, "that's a crooked tree" and yup it reminds me of some 2x4s I saw at the lumber yard not long ago!
*_"Timber!!"_* ... _Kahwhwafpcrack!_
Say that again 🙂
@@Rick_Lane _Kahfwappffthunk!_ haha ha!
good video
Good evening Chris
Saturday evening on Essex England…. Nothing better than watching you before bed ….
🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
An evening ritual for us brits, and it’s quite a disappointment on the rare days he doesn’t upload 🤣
Same here in ireland. Brush teeth go to bed & watch let's dig 18.
Man that windshield wiper is aggravating on the Hyundai
Great job as usual Chris. God Bless.
Wow, the root rake is gonna be very busy cleaning up around this area. You've been very busy taking down trees and it shows.
You’re getting a lot of big logs off this job. You’re going to need all the brush you can get to burn all those big stumps. That house is going to look right nice with just green grass all around it bro. Safe travels. Ken.
Cool!!
Sure wish these were longer
Chris you make it look to easy but I'm sure it is not. Celebrate with Mom on Mothers Day.
Thanks for the video.
That looks like good wood for the sawmill.
Chris must have been the master of the grocery store claw machine as a little boy. 🙂
Chris you are simply the best that place looks totally different that’s a pretty place see you tomorrow 😊
Man that 330 is soooo dang powerful !! I love your 220s also , I run a Hyundai 145 and can't wait for the day I get a larger excavator.
Timbeeeerrrr!!
Can we see you using log for leveling the ground?
Just dang Chirs needed to show the stuck chainsaw. Just to keep it real.
Nice video Chris.
Everyone is an expert. Just ask them
When you get done with this job you will have a good pile of logs, of course that means a pile of stumps
Never understand how you can actually organize an area that looks like a tornado landed. But always do😊😊😊pop
👍👍👍
Amazing what you can do in a day 👍😎
Man you should really try out a rotobec grapple saw. No more jumping in and out to cut. They are expensive but worth it.
❤❤❤
Wow, the new camera looks great .
When you’re loading logs can you use the thumb along with the grapple to work like a logging heal boom? Or does the grapple rotator take all three? Functions. This is the machine you can use the thumb and clean up bucket with, with a third valve?
Building ponds is by far the more interesting activity to watch.
Timber😂
Possibly this is the last we will see of the 330 after the surprise that came the following video .
2nd but 1st from Australia
If it was mine I'd go to the junkyard and make it a double wiper little extension to get the whole windshield 💥🛠️💥🛠️
That customer is going to have a real nice yard and area for his borses if they keep it a horse farm.
Possibly a riding farm.
Liability insurance killed most of them in Michigan when I was a teen.
branch on the boom, also got a twig stuck on the stick..
This has most likely been asked before, but are you compensated or the landowner for the timber that is sent to the mill?
Unfortunately yard trees don't hold much value
Are the logs sold by weight or by board feet? Thank you and have a great day.
I noticed that you have a new grapple 😂
Duh me I think
He has had that for about 4 years I believe.
Very nice.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Chris, your songs are often very short lol ;-)
Did you eventually remove the stick :) Seems there is an endless number of trees to remove although didn't seem so in the beginning. Nice work.
Yes time to go home Peace out

Crooked? Home Depot’s lumber supplier will take them! 😂😂😂

🤗❤️👍
I'm getting confused with the layout of this project another drone flyover would be cool would show where u been mr. Chris.
First from Holland 🙂
That a lot of trees
Does the site owner get the log money?
Chris - we were wondering if you've ever had carpal tunnel-like issues with having your wrists bent in the same awkward position for hours at a time?
Do you reckon there will be a load of cut logs or is everything just pulp??
Mostly pulp wood yard trees are full of names and knots from all the branches so sawmills won't buy them
What’s the end use of the pulp wood?
Goes to the paper mill. Notebook paper, toilet paper, etc. Paper mills smell horrible!
Love the show, been watching for years. Question though, I'm not electrician or expert, but i thought (I'm in AZ) electrical had to be in conduit and a junction had to be accessible, like in a junction box 🤔
Some places are stricter about that than others. We do with ours here in East TN, but most in rural NC and TN do not. It’s Direct Burial Romex
Did you mean the Sacred OAF? a.k.a. Bubba Bealy? Or are you Sacred Oak Druid in NC? They thought oaks were tied to rain, thunder, and lightning as they got struck the most. The big ones oozed black water, good for wounds.
Just wondering Chris how did the crusher work for Charlie after you ?
What you need is a rear mounted tv camera so you can see exactly what is behind you in your blind spot...
Watch the big screen in the cab!
Does anyone else wonder if Chris says timber when camera is not on?
I bet he does!
