I think his mental health turned her off, and she wouldve felt stuck if they weren't long distance. She doesn't seem to want to get back together, she mentally checked out a long time ago and is living her best life now. This really sucks, honestly. It sucks that a lot of times, people leave when their partner needs them the most. It’s understandable that not everyone can handle a situation in which their partner falls into depression or anxiety; we’re only human, after all. But it’s extremely sad that some people decide to leave instead of staying and fighting with them; instead of supporting them. Supporting your partner through poor mental health should be the bare minimum in a relationship, yet so many people can’t (or choose not to) do it. Again, we’re not perfect and everyone is different. This was actually a really healing video for me to watch. It helped me think about how I would answer these questions if I saw my ex boyfriend who I haven’t seen in a year and a half, and I’ve realized how much I’ve grown and how I’m now at peace with the ending of our relationship. She cheated though. Thats worse than “things not working out” . It would be cool if it was just that , a dynamic not working, good gestures not working out etc. but you cheated and then decided to break up. It’s understandable that not everyone can handle a situation in which their partner falls into depression or anxiety; we’re only human, after all. But it’s extremely sad that some people decide to leave instead of staying and fighting with them; instead of supporting them. Supporting your partner through poor mental health should be the bare minimum in a relationship, yet so many people can’t (or choose not to) do it. Again, we’re not perfect and everyone is different. But that’s no excuse for dipping on your significant other like that. If someone is turned off by their partner’s poor mental health, they’re immature and stupid. I said what I said

He wanted to help me through it and stay by my side.. we loved each other deeply but in the end he broke up with me because he felt trapped and also got negatively affected mentally because of my depression and behavior.. Made me even more miserable. Now I’m completely blocked from his life, because I couldn’t let go at first.
This happened 4 months ago and I realized now that I don’t wanna get into a new relationship until I "fix" my mental instability and get my shit together.
