Purchased a Royal Enfield Classic 350 several weeks ago from Baxter Cycle in southwest Iowa. Considered the marsh grey Signals but went with the halcyon green because I have a weekness for glossy paint and chrome. The january cold has limited me to a few rides but I can confirm what others have reported - this is an absoluteley charming motorcycle that puts you in a mellow place, you can't not love this bike! It joins my Triumph Tiger 800 to give me a ride for every purpose and mood. If you like old world style and charm get to a Royal Enfield dealer and check it out. By the way Baxter Cycle in Marne, Iowa is an outstanding Royal Enfield and Triumph dealer!
Yeah - I just got back from 2 weeks in India and got so emotional seeing these beautiful Royal Enfields. So relaxing riding it - such a delightful bike .
Same, I’m looking at a desert signals tan but i keep going back to the halcyon grey. Looking to get this done this month! How has the Classic been going for you these past few months?
Just what I want to see. A guy who runs a HD 117 giving objective opinion on a small displacement bike. I like these Royal Enfield bikes. It is neat to see this RE Classic can do a little off-road. Can you take the FXLR ST down those trails? 😉. I will be looking forward to seeing some more riding situations with the Classic. Keep up the great video work.
can confirm this ... got the 350 sleath black... i just bought it to as a safe drive for my pillion rider against my scooter... but just 2 days in it just completely takes you over...
I have the same bike and I love it. The speedometer went out of whack today. Hoping it resets. Other than that I’ve had no problems with it. Enjoyed the video!
I have a classic 500 and an Int 650.. I test rode a 350. The most comfortable 2 wheeled conveyance I have ever ridden... fits me Perfectly. Need to sell my 650 to get a 350.
Great, a piece of history!! A Big salute from Buenos Aires , Argentine! Best "Flaying flee" day! hahaha I remember the historical "D -day" with this RE 350!!! Also, the BSF indian military forces uses this bike to control Indian -Pakistan border, and for the Stunts at the Indian independence parade day, every january, thanks,
@@HOLYSHIFT i m a doubt between hunter or classic 350, but classic it`s mor histrorical motorc. and maybe more stable in roads with a companion at the back seat, ??? aren't you? what do you think about that?
The figure on the tank is the insignia of the royal signal corp of the British army they also do a RE with a pegasus figure which is the insignia of the parachute regiment.
Stay off the Interstate for long distances, and take the 55 mph state roads or country roads to wherever you're going to...No hurries, No worries...Just Go!!
I own the same bike but with black seats instead of brown. I hope you would like this info that these are actually special editions named as signals editions because in India, we have corps of signals which is generally referred as to the intelligence department within the Army. It was established in 1911 under British Raj but it got recognitions after the Independence in 1981. Thus when classic 350 reborn was launch by RE in 2021 they paid tribute to them by launching signals editions thus 40 is written in one side off the tank which represents their completion of 40 years and other side symbolizes the speed which pretty similar to the real logo of corps of signals. This is setup is pretty similar to previous gen classic 350 airforce styles blue bike where 29 was written. The stencil number you see on the tank is unique to each bike which is produced. And the number TP 28 written on the back fender referred to the tyre pressure that the army had to maintain when the bikes used to be dropped from the plane during WW2 but in the modern time it is more likely torque produced 28 though it doesnot actually produces 28.
Nice. Is that the stock exhaust? I have a bought new 2013 500cc military model. I converted it to a carburetor using a kit from Hitchcocks, and also put an aftermarket exhaust on it. I now have 21,000 miles on it with very few problems once I got a few things sorted out. Unfortunately, because it has tube type tires on it, I have to stay fairly close to home. So far I have had three flats, and all three times it came home on a tow truck. I have a roadside assistance plan. It would have cost me a fortune in towing charges had I been very far from home. I have a 1997 Japanese bike that I have put 128,000 miles on, with tubeless tires, that I have never had a flat tire on. I wish Royal Enfield would start using tubeless tires.
Gerald, they’ve made cast wheels an option on the classic 350, and standard on the Meteor and new Hunter 350. It looks like the 650’s will get optional cast wheels within. The next year or so. The new Super Meteor has cast wheels, as well, so if you’re ready for a change, they’re providing options now.
Could you really feel okay on a highway? I ride one all over mumbai (fantastic) but speed isn’t important. Thinking about whether it will work in america.
They are nice bikes. I aren't keen on the tank decals, particularly that orangey/yellow figure thing! It would be much better without the lettering too, although I know they are imitating an old army style bike.
@@HOLYSHIFT first thing I did. They don’t know either and they don’t have the machine for it. In Manhattan a locksmith told me that there’s a good chance no where in the area(village) is there a locksmith who can. Still looking though. I’ll survive with one key.
When you have a great sounding bike in a video please don’t cover up that great sound with music. When I’m riding my Bullet the engine is all the soundtrack I need.

Just a good old fashioned motorcycle with modern reliability.
Picked up a desert sand signal as a second bike grocery getter, around town cruiser, impressed so far. Can’t beat the price.
💯
I got the red and chrome one, once you hit 2000 miles the bike will be FULLY run in. Give it 100-150 for breaks to bed, they get very good in time.

Nice motorbikes! I tested one yesterday. Very smooth and feels much bigger, but of course very slow. I would put some enduro tyres to the machine...

How big is the fuel tank? Ball park on the price? Its actually great for around town.
3.5 Gallons 4500ish
Can you please say what it was that drew you to this bike instead of the Himalayan?

Cool! Now it just needs a big bore kit, cams, and T bars.
Haha , and foot boards…
