2 years on my Red and Chrome classic. Went from a Kawasaki VN 900 custom special. Best move I've made in 50 years of biking. Soul and character that very few modern bikes have come even close to with all their multitude of rider disconnecting modes, plastic and TFT blandness
Thanks for your thoughts. I think lots of people think the same. Its just basic motorcycling, done well and it takes a while for the penny to drop. Ride safe bud 👍
I have just spent 2 and a half hours this morning cleaning and polishing my nearly 2 year old Classic, the British racing green which has come up like new. Autoglym polish and then the ceramic top coat brings up the paint to an amazing shine. This bike is a joy to ride and speed limits are no issue as just as good going slow as pushing on if you want to. 😊
Pozdravujem Vás zo Slovenska. So všetkým, čo ste tu povedali, možno iba súhlasiť. Vlastním tento motocykel a som s ním úplne spokojný. Univerzálny, nadčasový stroj a navyše krásny.
Nice video calm as a Classic 350, it is one motorcycle which brings a smile ,I tried many other motorcycles but nothing gave me that zen feeling which is difficult to describe as much as a Classic 350 did, though I own an interceptor 650 presently ,I still recommend the Classic 350 .Keep the videos coming ,Cheers
Thank you, to be honest, and its probably just me, but I found the Interceptor to be uncomfortable. I don't know if it's my size, or shape, but I quickly got a numb bum and a raging bad back. Rear shocks maybe? Thanks for the encouragement and Ride safe👍
@shottostravels2713 I agree with you Interceptor 650 stock seat gets uncomfortable and painful after about less than an hour although a touring seat does help to some extent, Interceptor 650 is good in some ways for higher highway speeds but in comfort Classic 350 steals the show for sure, it's a must have in your garage no matter which big motorcycle you have ,I tried hard to convince myself for a Triumph Speed 400/ Scrambler 400X and Himalayan 450 as a second motorcycle but nothing has come close to a Classic 350 in character ,feel and retro charm ,so far.
@@blrmotorcyclesinc. Interesting, not just me then. Re Interceptor "comfort". The Classic is my only bike now. I don't really have the need for a bigger bike these days but I would agree completely that it is a wonderful choice for a smaller bike to keep alongside another. Ride safe bud. 👍
@shottostravels2713 You're right nothing like Classic 350 in comfort and character ,I tried the new Bullet 350 the seat feels even better. It can be your only motorcycle.
Really enjoyed your review, bike looks great, I like the colour too. I get the feeling when riding my Interceptor, want to watch the world go by and not compete with it. Thanks
Thankyou, that's very kind. Ive been out today, do you know on normal roads it's fine, just plodding around it's magnificent. I had an Interceptor, after 50 miles I needed a bum transplant. Maybe it was just me. Brilliant apart from that. Ride safe mate👍
Hi Keith, I enjoyed your video and find my bike very much as you do even down to the little bit of condensation now and then, niggles a bit but I'm too old to lose sleep over it. Love your dog! Edward
Thanks Edward, I'm with you, life's too short to bother about " little niggles". The dogs name is Harley. I bet you can't Guess what was in the garage when he came through the door as a pup? Ride Safe bud👍
What an absolutely lovely video, i love these bikes fell in love with them completely by chance looking for a cheap 125 for messing about on the back lanes. You absolutely do it justice. cant wait to see more of your videos :)
Hi Keith, Its good to know that you are still 'in love' with your bike. Because I want the Red and Chrome version I've got to wait to May, here in Spain, or even later for mine but it's good to watch your honest appraisal of the model. Just such a shame it won't go up to 85mph. Not sure why they've restricted the engine. I want to go camping when the summer comes along as hopefully it will be run in by then. Like Edward , love your dog. Regards Morgan
Thanks for your kind comments Morgan. I wouldn't worry too much about 85mph, you will find it's great, it's under stressed and great to just plod around on. Can you send us some Sunshine please from Espana.Time flies, It'll soon be May! Ride safe 👍
Like others here I was going to get the Interceptor, but although it would have more power the extra weight was not wanted. By the way, at the minute it's raining in my neck of the woods, (S.W. Catalonia) my half a km track from my house to a quiet country road up in the mountains is very muddy, has been for days so no bike riding at the moment 😭 and to add to my miseries I have some nasty flu type bug thats doing the rounds.@@shottostravels
Nice review and exactly the reasons I got mine yesterday (in marsh grey, I didn't want to have to look after that much chrome) 😁Hopefully get out on it tomorrow to start the running in process round the quiet lanes in Norfolk.
After 30 years of riding, just got a Gunmetal classic 350 and 20 years from now, hoping to say it's been a decision way past due. Better late than never! ;)
Nice review Keith, looks like it’s a keeper 😂 as you said it’s that engine that is the star of the show, it’s definitely evolution at its best, all the best buddy 👍
@@shottostravels that’s right Keith, is a GT500 I had one from 79 to 83, fabulous bike me and the now wife went everywhere on it, I have some very fond memories of it and some scary moments 😂
Thought so. I never had one as a lad but my mate did. I seem to remember that it was the first bike that I did 100 mph on. That was pretty scary. Later on in life. I had the opportunity to buy one in a rough state which I rebuilt at Great cost and lost a load of money on. But I have good memories of them. Ride Safe👍
Yours was one of the very first reviews I watched for the Classic 350 once I had thought of purchasing one as a 69th birthday present, to myself, and it subsequently became one of the videos that convinced me to go ahead with the purchase. I have since subscribed to your channel and watched most of the content on there. I have my bike, the Bullet Classic 350, just over a week now and I was very disappointed when I discovered the indicators are entirely made of plastic, not the beautiful chrome it pretends to be. I'm mentioning this because after watching so many videos over a two week period from numerous sites, not one mention was made of this. Is it the case with yours, as mine is a 2024 model and maybe it is only a recent change. I'm almost afraid to check the rest of the machine in detail now. Keep safe and keep doing your clips.
Hi John and thanks for your comments. I hope you are enjoying your new bike. I am sorry that you are disappointed that the indicators are not metal. I can confirm that mine are plastic too. I honestly don't think anyone would mention this in a Review, because no one would expect them to be metal anyway. Tank, mudguards, side panels all are and that is rare in itself these days and is no doubt why it is a bit on the portly side. Don't let this minor detail overshadow what a wonderful little bike it is. Oh, and send me a picture of it parked up somewhere nice. Enjoy and Ride Safe mate👍
@@shottostravels Lovely to get a reply from you and it helps now knowing that my expectations seem to have been set a bit too high at the beginning. I can't emphasise enough how much I love the bike. One of your comments referred to the pleasure of been able to do most of the servicing yourself and how the very design of the bike itself lends to hours of enjoyment of dealing with upgrades or adding on accessories etc. Well, within five minutes into my very first ride I experienced the issue of not being able to come up the gears because the front of my boot just wouldn't fit under the the clutch lever. I had to stop and find a way of doing this in order to complete the journey. Once home though, I referred back to a reference of yours for changing the foot lever and from there I was able to very easily take off the lever and re-site it a notch or two upwards so as to accommodate my riding boot. God the pleasure I got out of that, and that was on day one. Keep well, keep safe, and keep broadcasting.
That's very kind. Just enjoy it. It is a simple thing. That's why I like it, it's like me. Simple. I'm chuffed you find something of value, something worth watching in my " Broadcasting" and let's hope we get a decentish Summer to get out a bit and enjoy them. Ride safe my friend👍
I think the previous model looked better. The last 350 before the J engine series. Kick start. Classic lines. No cheap plastics. But I realise the new model has way more performance and reliability. But it does look like a 1990s Suzuki Trumpster
You may be correct, I don't know. I like it, as for Suzuki Trumpster? I'm guessing you're not in the UK, they would never call a bike Trumpster here. 😄 Ride safe bud 👍
that helmet and the back case dont suit the bike well. Also: If you let a second Key on that motorbike keycain you will scratch the sorounding area ot the key hole.
Not at all, I see where you are coming from. I need the practicality of a box and the full face helmet is there for the wind protection to the microphone on the inside that I need for my new found vlogging! Your English is fine, much better than my ? German?? Ride safe mate👍
