- Fresh off the release of her new solo album Diploid Love, rocker and former Distillers/Spinnerette frontwoman Brody Dalle stopped by to chat with Bookie about the musical direction on the new record, and recording with seminal musicians like Shirley Manson and Nick Valensi.
They also discussed how she and her husband, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, deal with the trials of raising children as touring artists. All this and more, watch the interview below and get to know Brody Dalle in this one-on-one interview with Bookie.

When they started going out she was 16 and he was 31. I think somebody else was being taken advantage of.
Tim was a bit of a perv. She was a young kid when they dated and then got married. He controlled her throughout their relationship and then she left him. If she cheated on him I think she had every right. It was probably more like an overlap of relationships though. She traded up and now seems very happy with a loving hubbie and three gorgeous kids and Tim is still a miserable twat who sings like he's had a stroke.
To join the conversation a year later lol - yeah she was 18 and he was 31 when they got married. They had met 2 years previously. I'm in my late 20s now and GOD 18-year-olds seem SO young (because they are)...I can't even imagine dating someone that age. That decade is a crucial developmental period and I don't give a shit that 18 is the legal age, that is still creepy and inappropriate. Perhaps more importantly though, she has talked about him being very controlling and it took her 3 years to leave him. Yes they were still married when she met Josh, but the relationship had been sour for a long time.
