This was a really good interview if you like guitars and the Josh and Queens. Good questions. The guitars and music questions are not asked of Josh much anymore. That is what I'd like.
Joshua homme the guy I would really like to drink a beer with but also be scared of
Yeah pretty sure there's a good reason for that. Dude seems shady as hell
Mark would have scared me more after hearing his story
@@neverbettercanadawould not want to piss that feller off lmao
@@jameybobamey7343 What do you mean as shady?
Why be scared? Josh a big ole teddy bear.
The only time I met this muaical genius was during a night out at The Monte in DTLA along with Jack White. I remember him either laughing or pacing like a hungry hyena where the back story was that his "candy" dealer wasn't available to drop off the goods. Love this guy's mentality & musical style, legend.
Love the Devo reference…always thought that early playing was quietly amazing….they would often be sitting the guitars in some very specific pockets like Motown level shit tucked inside all that delicious…angular…. ridiculous nerdery…..
Thank you so much for this one!
Thanks for uploading! I remember watching this about ten years ago and it had a big impact on me then. I think I needed a little reminder
What a poet truly !
one of the most interesting interview
The best interview
❤
I like how everything he says is kind of obvious but I could live ten lives and not realise them.
8:15 lol the sms sound, seems 2 centuries ago
Duffy RIP
"Its like the color orange, it doesn't look good on anybody..." after watching this video with Josh, I have to disagree.
I love Josh and would fight for him, but Kyuss = development of 7 string guitars... that's a hard sell.
True though
Slightly masochistic. I'd really like to get to know and understand Joshua Homme.
Why is his whole personality “i do coke and ride motorcycles”
Why would he think he has anything with people going to seven strings? He’s definitely outta pocket. He definitely ain’t the fist to tune down and won’t be the last. Everything’s been done. How vain.
Yeah, Tony Iommi was the first well known guitarist to down tune, and it came about due to and accident when the tips of his fingers got cut off, so down tuning allow him to bend the strings easier as there's less tension. I like QOTSA, but I do think Homme is a bit vain, thinking he invented the wheel at times. In the early 2000s he even referred to his band as the best rock band. I also don't agree with his belief that what everyone needs to do is just do the opposite of everyone else... difference of the sake of being different can be as lame as being derivative. Most great artists copy people they admire, and develop something unique to themselves out of that context. Hendix wouldn't be Hendrix if he didn't learn and borrow from the blues. Cantrell wouldn't be Cantrell if he didn't learn and borrow from Bad Sabbath etc. I'm sure Homme has plenty of direct influences that he just doesn't want to admit.
Josh Homme is the coolest person ever. He is the epitome of a "Rockstar". Long live QotSA. -
I love qotsa and Josh, but when he mentions Greg Ginn lolol wow 😢
