Hey Roanoke - I've been following your videos for years now, and as a fellow creator who specializes in Miyazaki, I always bask under the gentle sun of your minidocumentaries.
Another amazing entry here - love the superpositions between reality and fiction, and the meaning bridges that you create between the two realms as well. Knowing that Ghibli movies help the protection and also the valuing of such places makes me profoundly happy.
Our styles are very different - I focus on words and narrative, my videos are more art-research than documentaries like yours - but I think we have enough overlap to collab if you're keen. Let me know :) it would be such a blast to work with a creator I follow so closely.

I knew that in Laputa Castle in the Sky, the mining town from which Pazu hails and the mountain landscape where Sheeta originally lived are inspired by the Welsh landscape and its history of mining which was eventually reclaimed by nature.
