I know this video was created 3 years ago but I will be very grateful if someone would kindly tell me the title/composer of the tune played at intro ( 0:11) . Thank you. (I grew up, by the way, near the beach in Kamakura,Kanagawa,Japan so the scene depicted in “Great Wave” is very familiar to me.)

To me, shiey is like the modern day Marco Polo. He travels through different regions across the world purely for adventure and lives the life thats unreal to the average person. There’s always the risk of death or a prison sentence but that’s what keeps him alive.

I have a middle age child suffering from this exact thing. Each of my many children are built differently emotionally. Each faced life trials and have their own copping skills and see the world in a different way. She is not only struggling with this, in todays cyber world, it is much easier to fall trap to a false sense of social interaction on line. Japanese culture seems to be a little less forgiving but in either country, the challenge to rejoin the main stream of public financial and social survival are just as real. For me, it was military boot camp that took hundreds of thousands of us through eight weeks of brainwashing that stripped away our patterns of identity and shaped our focus on a can do attitude. Maybe we need a kind of boot camp vocational program for this?

Mine started early at age 15 and only got worse after becoming permantelty disabled right before the pandemic hit and well I'm mostly in my whelechair all day trying to desperately find any therapist who'll take me but everyone keeps turning me away because I'm an extremely complex case due to life long abuse and trauma. Also, part of why I'm permanently disabled now and chronically ill. I have a full time live in IHSS caregiver aid, and I can't even handle walking outside in broad daylight and lost my ability to speak fully. So it's gonna be my 14th year in a row as a hikikomori
