I mean, 1:1 scale cars are completely different too 🤷♂️ even specific classes. You can have a 12 foot wheel base, a 16 foot and a 10 foot all on the same track. 1/10 does not mean every single 1/10 scale vehicle is exactly the same size.....that would be the exact opposite of "scale" actually 🤣🤦♂️
@DutchBiker you're welcome! I struggled with that too at first until I thought more full scale. Just like 1/6 scale collectable figures. They're all 12 inch roughly, with shorter people being 10in and tall people being around 14-16in. I use to get mad that they weren't all the same height, until I thought about real people lol! A tenth scale civic will be way smaller than a 10th scale jeep, or 10th scale trophy truck (real trophy trucks make normal cars look comically small side by side lol) 🤷♂️

The Lasernut is slower by a bit, but would handle off road much better. One rough surfaces and rocks the Lasernut is a beast and is so easy to drive. The DB pro is faster and harder to handle off road. Tow great cars. Take care of those 😋

@Vape N Clash I have both and they are great in their own ways. Ii think you will enjoy the DB Pro way better than the Lasernut for your circumstances.
Cool video😊 I noticed that the DB Pro has mini pin tires VS the knobby tires on the Lazernut. The mini pins might be better on that surface. It would be cool to put mini pins on both trucks and try it again!

Do you guys think a DB Pro could be competitive in amateur SCT or buggy racing? Thanks for the awesome comparison! Decision, decisions.... Edit: Changed "would" to "could" because I know much tuning would be required!
The Lasernut isn't really an "official" basher. Hardcore bashing/jumping results in broken parts (1/10th scale in a near 1/8 the scale size and made with mostly the same parts as the Tenacity) and requires subsequent upgrades to the drive shafts and outdrives, steering linkage, bearings, bumpers, and servo (as mentioned in the video). For racing it's definitely better to remove the spare tire and add a rear bumper if desired. I've even redrilled the chassis and moved the battery tray forward and put the ESC and receiver in the rear which keeps it much cleaner in snow drift sessions. One negative is that the body kit is $70 which is pretty pricey for plastic, but it does hold up well with the minimal and sturdy size. I can envision a V2 edition getting some beefed up parts to fix some issues. Optional wider arms would also be nice due to the higher COG. A great car overall regardless of necessary upgrades.
