I love the scale details in this. I have the Rock Rey and the cage fixed to the chassis makes it a git to work on. The hinged body and sway bar is genius. Great vid, thanks Josh.
The Losi Tenacity platform has a lot of performance potential. I have an older Tenacity SCT converted into sort of an 8th scale buggy and it's awesome! Light, nimble and bulletproof with a few mods. A lot of TLR Ten SCTE 3.0 parts swap over and are huge improvements over stock. The TLR steering set up replaces all the bushings with bearings and stronger plastics. I think I'll pick one of these up too. Thanks for the review!
Watched this on the Tv earlier, so I’m just now commenting. Very detailed overview! Loved it. You have it a good bash as well. Impressive rig wide open like that.
Dude, since I first saw this after I checked my email after I got home, I liked it. I'm definitely going to have to get myself one at some point. Won't be a first batch purchase this time though as I JUST purchased a Losi 5ive T 2.0. Lol. I purchased it Monday or Tuesday, can't remember which. 4s capable seems like a bit extreme for a 1/10 scale buggy style RC, at least to me. I'm basing that opinion on running my Tenacity DB Pro on 2s. 2s is pretty dang fast in Losi buggies. If I do get the Lasernut, it probably won't be till next year. I've got a build in order and a boat to get. Both very high priority. The Losi 5T is my highest priority, the ProBoat Sonicwake is second, then my build is third. My build is a Losi Super Baja Rey, brand new, unused, not even turned on yet. I purchased two when they were on sale, BND, and gave one to my brother. I've got a Super Rock Rey that fills the void of the SBR, I just couldn't pass it up for the price. Now I've got a plan for it. I was going to get the Traxxas XO-1, but decided instead to use the money I would have put into the purchase of the XO-1 into the SBR. I'll be getting myself a R-SNAKE 16s ESC and mating it to a TP Power motor. I won't ever run 16s because battery fitment will be a little too complicated. I know I can fit two 6 cell lipos into a SRR battery compartment so 12s will be max I will run. Daily running will be done on 8s and occasionally 12s. Why I'm going for a 16s ESC rather than a 12s ESC is to try to not put as much stress on the electronics as running max voltage does. Also gives me a little leeway to change settings (like punch) or batteries, without fear of cooking the ESC. Anyways. Both paint schemes on the new Lasernut look awesome and if the time comes, I'll be ok with either. I prefer the black one with the carbon fiber look over the blue, but I won't be disappointed with the blue version (I think the blue has a carbon fiber look too, just the "red" version is more appearant.
Aaahhhh... that just looks so good! Well, I just bought a Baja rey and saving up for a Dr10 drag kit, now this comes up to the market! What do you think, Baja rey or this for scale and performance. I might be leaning to this though😬
Did anything break? If not, I'd say that's pretty commendable because you was definitely giving her hell. I dig it. Looks well thought out. Looks like it handles well.
I saw some reviews complaining about the stock servo. I have my Lasernut couple of days and steering was initially not good till I discovered that the servo saver was very less tension on the spring. I tightened the ring a bit and secured with little loctite. Steering got significantly better! I‘d like to hear your take on this. Thanks.
I HOPE this will still be available next year... I had wanted a Bomber for at least 5 years - but this just changed my mind!!! 😲😎 It seems poised, even at high speed. It appears that Losi put a lot of thought into that. 👍👍 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
I was thinking about the updated Arrma Big Rock for my next basher, but man, I might need to save up a little more for this. I have an old SCTE Ten and love the Losi products. The short course trucks suck in grass, but that thing looks like it would have the ground clearance to rip it up.
That original center brace is just for the look; it won't stand any impact. I changed this to aluminium and the chassis is much more rigid now. Overall the Lasernut is a nice platform to install better motor and FPV gear to. A real #FPV banger that is! 🙂No gyro BS needed.
That is a beautiful looking rig. Is it not essentially a wheelbase adjusted 8 scale race buggy? I did a U4 conversion on an old losi 8E and did a desert style race body and it is an amazing truck. So i imagine this should be even better with the appropriate wheelbase to begin with. Can't beat losi suspension, its like velcro

Really impressive. I have a rock rey and DB pro. I can say the db pro is pretty much bulletproof. The ten platform has been around for years and is based on a 1/8 buggy used for 1/10 trophy truck racing. Stock motor sucks in the db pro tho, went with a leopard 3670 2400kv on 4s.
Loos amazing! Had an idea to build something like this with a Losi sct. Ended up putting a VW bug body with the the fenders cut of on it and monster truck tiers. That was one hell of a basher!
Nice review! But I have to say it: KV doesn't stand for Kilo Volts. K is a constant that multiplies to the voltage (K x V) to get the approximate no-load RPM of the motor per volt. That 1900KV on a 3s for example we could consider 12V, so you expect the motor to spin around 23000RPM (12x1900) without any load! This buggy seems to be a very go to, it's basher blood in something that can hit trails. Sounds like there is no bad terrain for that thing.
Awesome spot and stellar driving! Great video all in all, you really covered all there is and backed it up with some cool action in the end! Thumbs up!👍🏻
