I love this guy lol. For starters, it seems like most of the tapes you find here are percussion. And I appreciate them, but I’m a (low) brass guy, so this is great. He makes some really insightful comments. Like when he describes the shape of their crescendos and how it lights up the audience, that was great. And also, toying and playing with the audience. Accelerando…..and suddenly ritardando. Fortissimo…..and then piano. Highly technical and difficult phrases in the battery…..and then shave and a haircut, two bits. Play soft facing the audience, turn around, and it’s louder. That really is an awesome effect when you think about it! Really great comments!
