Yes, I used it as a hobbyist while they debugged it and loudly and frequently stated "It'll always be free for hobbyists!" Then it became "It's still free for hobbyists, but $490/year if you want to keep any of the basic, useful features." Then it became, "Oh, you want to do machining with this? THOSE features are now only in the $1800/year add-on. We've now nerfed all rapid movements just to make sure you can't use it." Why on earth would I think they won't just keep nerfing and increasing the price once they get people hooked in. Is it their right to do that? Sure. Will they ever get another dollar of my money? Nope. F them. I'll sell my CNC mill for scrap before that happens. I'm old, don't do this stuff to make money, and I can afford to stand by my principles.

@@learnitalready I guess because i consume a lot of CAD/CAM/3d printing content, the youtube algorithm thought I'd be interested. The algorithm still struggles with "Grumpy Old Man" factors.
