Thank you, i appreciate your easy to understand videos. This b79 is a lovely machine , i’m looking forward to using it! But i do wish it had come with a hard copy manual, but the features are wonderful and the stitches beautiful. Thanks
what a good video however the camera should have stayed close up focused on the screen! we cannot see nearly as well when the camera operator pans out :(
Hi thank you for this particular video. I got stuck and frustrated by not knowing where to start next. Packed the machine up and went back to my trusted 530-2 Bernina. On which I’ve sewn one huge, first ever, quilt with NO trouble. Would I go back to the Bernette 77 ? That’s a very big question.
When you are talking about the speed setting in the computer and on the front of the machine, you say it is where you can set you maximum speed. Does that mean if you set the speed at medium or slow, no matter how hard you press on the foot pedal it will only sew at that medium or slow speed?
That is correct! and to clarify, it limits your foot control to that speed, so you still have full control (slower when pressing lightly, faster when pressing harder) up to the max speed you set.
Hi I very much like your videos, but my problem with my 77b is after changing the original threads with a different colour it now just knots knots knots and May sew backwards with long stitches, I’ve no idea now how to actually start sewing my next item. Please would you be able to help me?
First rethread, watching my threading video or look in your manual. Also, you may have bent the needle somehow. So change it to a new needle that is appropriate for the fabric you are sewing. Then each time you start sewing hold the thread tails for the first few stitches. This will help keep the take up lever from coming unthreaded which can then cause thread tangles. Hope this helps.
If you are referring to the feed dogs not coming back up after you re engage them, turn your handwheel one full rotation towards you after clicking the button to bring them back up. this will re engage the mechanism and bring up the feed dogs.
question when you say, setting on or off, I can't tell what is off/on. If it shows lighted button, is that on? The camera function of what you are showing doesn't tell me. If the button is dark, is that off? Pls clarify for me thank you
Hello! The first thing I would check is that it is threaded into the bobbin case spring (its a very small metal notch in the bobbin case that the thread passes through to give tension to the thread. And then I will have to ask what made you draw the conclusion that the bobbin thread doesn't have enough tension? There is a lot of trouble shooting in thread tensions and knowing exactly what is happening to the thread as it's stitching would be very helpful!
This is the video I was looking for. You explain the functions so well. It is exactly what I needed.😊
Excellent! Wish I had seen this before shopping today!

Great to hear!
I ordered a reprint through Etsy.

Exactly what I was going to comment!

I find the bobbin sensor comes on when quite a bit of thread is left yet. I usually shut it off.
Thanks

You're welcome
Does putting everything back to factory defaults erase your favorites?

Do you need to recalibrate your feed dogs on. Bernette b79 as mine seem to be stuck ?

if the button is dark, it is on/ activated.
How do you adjust the tension, the bobbin is very loose

what does a small triangle with a minus sign that pops up on my main screen mean???
