Just brought home my new baby... Bernina B79! Played with it for a few minutes and immediately recognized I need tutorials!!! Lots and lots of tutorials. So enjoy listening to your very pleasant voice and appreciate your sharing your knowledge... thank you for sharing your time and talent. Greatly appreciated. Can't wait to learn so much more and enjoy the embroidery feature of this machine. So blessed to be able to have this machine. It's going to help produce so many burp cloths, swaddling blankets and much more for new moms in need.
Just ordered the b79. As I have the b790 plus it will be sew easy to use the new machine because so much is the same on the two. Thank you for this series!
What a great instructional video! I appreciate the thoroughness and attention to detail to help me learn my new machine that I just got, as there is no nice sewing center nearby to help me.
I have a b77 machine and have viewed many great tips for this complicated machine. I bought it for the "self threading" ability. Unfortuanatley,, the self threading mechanism broke on the first use and was advised that it would cost 200.00 to fix it. The repair shop said that this mechanism breaks on most of the machines on a regular basis. I am very dissapointed but as I have a vision issue that makes it difficult to thread a needle.
Tough Choice. Equally Good Machines for different reasons. Personally, I'd Lean towards the s6 for the solid build quality, though the B77 definitely has more computerized features and better stitch control. you can reach me directly at calvin@montavillasewing.com for a more timely response to your questions!
Hi, I’m stuck with my brand new 77, having moved the slide a bit further right, now the machine sews backwards after making knots. How, please can I get rid of this knot first and last please? I’m at my wits end with this 77. All I want just now is sew forward.
You may have clicked on some settings. Try going into settings and click the reset all button. Also, I think the default is to do a knot at the beginning of the seam. In settings you can probably turn this off. I don't have this machine in front of me right now, but try these things. Hope this helps.
Both are excellent machines for the price. The dx-200 is going to feel a little smoother, but the b-77 has more features and gives you much more control over your stitches. Another huge difference is the integrated dual feed system on the B-77. Which is going to allow you to pull even the toughest feeding materials through the machine easily. Overall, The Juki Dx-2000 is built on a slightly better platform, but the B-77 offers more convenience and control over the machine. Hope this Helps! The walking foot does help by reducing the friction on top of the fabric, it basically provides a set of feed dogs on sliders that grip the fabric and slide through the foot, but it is still driven by the bottom feed dogs. A Dual Feed actively feeds from top and bottom (Clamps down and pulls evenly from top and bottom) while the walking foot definately helps with bulkier fabrics, the dual feed system is a far superior feeding system.
@@MontavillaSewing Sorry, another question - do you have experience with Pfaff? Their 630 and 635 models cost similar to Bernette B77, and are on par with features, at least on paper, including the dual feed.

Hi Karen! thank you very much for your videos. Hope you are doing well as it was over a year ago since you made your video. God bless you.
Thank you!
I have watched your videos and can’t figure out which machine is better , the Bernette B77 or Janome s6?

Hi, any tips on how to adjust the bobbin thread tension when using a twin needle? I have B79. Thanks a lot for your help!
There should be a tiny adjustment screw on the bobbin case.
When will the machine
enable - human mind
think it, and be?

Can you print out a manual for the b79?
I never got book and I own a B79, can you help me by telling me how I can get one because it’s very hard to figure things out without a book
How would you compare Bernette B77 to your Juki DX-2000QVP?

@@MontavillaSewing thank you so much!
I see that dx-2000 has a walking foot as an accessory. Does it even them out in that regard?
