wow thank you for making a video of older far cry games now we know what to expect on intel arc some people are more concerned of how old games run on intel arc series than new one so with your help now i know this for me my goal is to play at 40fps atleast its more than 40fps
Hey Daniel I'm just curious you didn't see the stutters or frametime spikes in Far Cry 5? It looks to me like Intel needs to do more work on their drivers to get the performance up to where it should be in these older games and some new games.
There was no stutter. Everything was flat. I think they need to improve, but I'm just happy they entered the ring. I think that by the time the ball gets rolling, they will get the drivers up to the cards and improve with the CPU.
Love the videos as always bro hey can you do me a favor and test an Acr 770 8 GB edition? I have one nearly new in the box ASRock model. Just wondering if it's worthy 🤔
I tried in some older games that using dxvk an improve your fps by 20-40% with a b580, I mean look at that FC2 the gpu is only getting 30% usage the performance would improve signifcantly with dxvk
I know this is a High end Performance CPU but still... I think you are going to see more utilization form the GPU with a x3d or even 14th gen intel. I noticed from me testing with a Arc a750
No I think the problem here is with gpu driver overhead that affects intel cpu's because my i9 10900KF gets better performance with my RX 7900 XT indicating that it's a driver overhead issue rather than a cpu bottleneck issue.
@ yes. But I doubt it’s going to be fixed since new CPUs are coming. A faster CPU will overcome the driver overhead lol. Forcing people to upgrade their 3770k 🤣🤣😭💀
@@ciprianpeica85 I just tested Far Cry 3 on my i9 10900KF and RX 7900 XT and even I noticed lower than usual fps at 1080p 8x msaa max settings that was almost the same as the fps I get at 4K with 4x msaa max settings so it seems like there is something strange going on with Far Cry 3's game engine because Far Cry 1 and 2 get higher fps.
@ There is no point to upgrading to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D from an i9 10900K just to increase fps on a low-end to mid-range graphics card like the intel Arc B580 that costs $250 or a little more depending on the AiB model. Now if he had say an RTX 4080 Super or RX 7900 XTX then it would make more sense to upgrade the cpu because those graphics paired with a faster cpu like the Ryzen 7 9800X3D would allow him to get higher fps at lower resolutions and allow him to play at 4K without a cpu or vram bottleneck since most games are graphics card bound at 4K. That Intel Arc B580 is like a little over $200 less than the price of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D which is a huge mismatch in terms of price. The i9 10900K is a fine pairing for his Intel Arc B580 since it won't bottleneck the Intel Arc B580 in most other games. The Far Cry games are the exceptions not the rule and Far Cry 3 is just a weird game engine.
Oh also the Intel Arc B580 isn't fully utilized at 100 percent in Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and Far Cry Primal is because of cpu overhead not a cpu bottleneck especially since my i9 10900KF gets better performance with my faster RX 7900 XT.
Yeah Far Cry 3 is kinda broken on modern systems, I can't get it to fully utilize my Nvidia GPU or my old AMD GPU, both are way more powerful than what the game was designed for. Not an issue with the B580 I would say.

brazil a song so good they named a country after it j\k .ruclips.net/video/joInwYlVu2w/видео.html
@@homelessEh don't be so silly, they don't name countries after songs.
They named it after the movie which also has the song in it 😄

It really whips the llama's ass 😁
Still use it almost daily. Streaming sucks.

Got a lot of memories with Far Cry 1 and 2 . Far Cry 3 was free at some point on ubisoft connect .
You must download silentpatch mod For FAR CRY 1 which is a file to fix no water reflections on modern windows
have you ever used an RX 6600? great video as always.
Don't have one unfortunately 😔
I just watched your HD 5970 Quad Crossfire video, that setup beats this one in Far Cry 3 🤔
I hope that you know that putting render scale at 2, actually runs the game at 4K in this instance
That means it's good.

far cry new dawn is my favorite in series
I think you need to run this card a 1440 to get the best out of it. That would get your GPU util up.
