I always thought SG Starscream's colors being Jetfire's original color scheme was a great idea. Love when SG does stuff like that, like with Grimlock's colors being a reference to Trypitcon.
I absolutely LOVE this mold for the Seekers! Hasbro needs to take notes from this transformation, for sure. Two things that may help with your enjoyment of the Newage Seeker mold: 1. The torso has two dedicated pegs under the cockpit to snap into the waist, giving the cockpit a flush look in robot mode. It's a pretty small 'click', and the best position to push down on him from seems to be the center of the chest just under the neck while keeping your thumb under the crotch. This also has the added bonus of not messing with the waist swivel, simply making it look more solid. 2. You can simply not transform the rear wings and fold them around his ankles for improvised heal-spurs. While yes, this does take away from the magic of the transformation, it is a decent sacrifice for stability's sake. Also, the Starscream version of the mold does come with a smirking face for an alternate head.
1 I have pressed SO STUPIDLY hard on the torso trying to get that all to clip together, I was worried I was going to break it, cause I thought it seemed like that should be how it works. If my Copy is not missmanufactured in some way making it uniquely hard, then I don't know what to think. 2 That would also leave big gaps in the ankles. 3 That's cool to hear.
It’s true, the F-15’s intakes do swivel like that, which was most likely the inspiration for them swiveling forward in robot mode. In this toy the swivel is probably so you can go for toy accurate or cartoon accurate.
The torso gap was an issue for me too. The little nose cone bit inside the torso tabs into the base where the cockpit waist swivel is. It’s finicky cuz of the double hinge but the gap disappears
I'll take your word for it, I've assumed that's how it works since I got this thing, but I've put so much force into that part over and over to try and peg it in, I feel concern for the survivability of the figure.

I look at the figure and I feel like this is the SS86 Starscream we should've gotten because it looks like 10x more animation accurate. just blow it up to leader scale and fix some of the issues that come with it being a legends figure and idk

I’ve got the clear Henkei Convoy, clear TFP Optimus, and clear Armada Optimus. I still wanna get my hands on the clear RID01 Prime Takara released, and that clear ROTF leader one.
Holy crap... How is it that the literal day before this video drops, I pick up the original colors Newage Starscream at a collectables show? What kind of cosmic alignment is that? But yeah, despite having owned it for less than 24 hours, it might just be my favorite Starscream figure so far, though admittedly I'm yet to handle any masterpiece scale offerings. And yes, the normal version's head sculpt has a S*** Eating Grin that is so perfect for Starscream that it hurts. In addition to the Null Rays and Stand parts, it also comes with 2 different pairs of Blast Effects, one set for the thrusters, and one for the Null Rays (though they're sadly not siege/5mm compatible), 2 alternate missiles for jet mode, a scaled down Megatron in gun mode, and 2 pairs of extra hands (open and pointing). Ultimately, yeah, I now get why legends collectors hold the Newage Seeker mold in such high regard. The same seller also had their Soundwave (complete with Rumble, Ravage, and Laserbeak inhalable pack-ins), so I might be back at that show next week for him.
Stuff like that's gotta happen every now and then when there are thousands of you who watch me. It's an incredibly good version. Better than most MP offerings. I KNEW IT! I knew they'd give him a douchey head. I think mine might have come with blast effects I lost like 2 years ago or something. Yeah I have since found out MS did a Seeker them selves... And ho boy is it ugly.
Question of the comments. If Transformers was to do a crossover with a video game franchise, which would you pick to be a transformer and what were their name be? For me Pokémon because there are so many beast formers that could work as Pokémon transformer designs like dragon Megatron as Charizard or kingdom cheetor as any of Eevee evolutions. But I think my personal favorite would probably be Rayquaza not only because I love the design, but also we haven’t had a snake transformer in a while. Also, if this does become a thing props if the robot mode was based off of Zinnia from ORAS. As for a name maybe either Airlock or DeltaTron both as a reference to his abilities.
There are so many awesome options. DOOM, Fallout, Metal Slug, which kind of already got done. I'd probably want more of the Vehicles out of Metal Slug honestly.
I got the regular NA starscream.. it's awesome. But my negative for it is the transformation. Nosecone and head tend to popoff. But over all it's fantastic mini starscream! Great with my MS megatron
Speaking of Shattered Glass, what would your ideal SG Knock Out and Breakdown look and/or act like? My idea is that SG Knock Out is a grizzled, devil-may-care wrestler (hence his name) while Breakdown is his anxiety-ridden tag-team partner (ironically making a Prime-looking Breakdown more like G1 Breakdown).
I've only picked up Onslaught so far, He's very good, but I was a little disappointed by the requirement of partsforming. Outside of that it's very good and promising.
I like Ironfactory, but they aren't my Main Interest. Their more expensive figures tend to be really good, but their cheaper figures tend to be kind of mid.
I need more samples of Warpath. I got Kingdom Warpath. I'm waiting for Magic Square or Newage to make a Warpath. Iron Factory Warpath is long gone though. I haven't got enough stable income to buy the big third parties, but I'll buy the unique ones.
hey I HIGHLY recommend mechanical skull armada starscream. if you can find it in stock. PICK IT UP, yes its legends scale but kinda works with other figures as the figure is really good,
Its an interesting idea with SG Starscream usually being Cybertron or at least Cybertronian. Not a bad choice, just interesting. Be hilarious if they made a G1 Gun Megatron in SG colors, I'm not asking for it, just a hilarious "what if".
I legit thought that was Jetfire because of the colors scheme alone, I didn't read the title or look at figure. I also agree it looks good that the nose cone isn't in the back. I like the figure but damn that figure is small. Also can you not scream about your likes I'm not trying to get the belt slipper wombo combo from my parents while getting cussed out
If hasbro does another startsxream they better just take notes because if they can fit this into like 4 inches gor 60 bucks they can make an 8 inch one for 30

just blow it up to leader scale and fix some of the issues that come with it being a legends figure and idk
That would be infinitely superior to what they gave us. God I hate the studio series 86 Starscream.
Oh god I can't hear the "please gives" anymore, I'm starting to get scared
I think you are just becoming deaf from the YOUR LIKES!
Buddy of mine got me the ghost version of this mold for Christmas last year, absolutely love him. He’s one of my eternal desk toys.
You know me, I love a Crystal figure for some reason, so that sounds sick.
@@PerspectiveEnd crystal decos go crazy, ever since I was a kid I’ve been a freak for ghost Starscream toys. I also loooove all the Tokyo Toy show clear Optimus/Convoys.
Pretty cool on a legends scale!
Fun and good looking.
Lez go another perspective vid my favorite use of time
I'm so proud to waste your time in a positive way.
@@PerspectiveEnd trust me it’s not a waste of time it gives me something to actually enjoy while I’m stuck during summer vacation
I thought this was like a core class jetfire. But I'm not disappointed
great review as always! 😁also could you please review the 3rd party legends scale thunderbolt blitzwing figure?
I don't have that as of now. But I might.
yippee!
I am now officially a usual suspect :D 0:24
I feel stupid for asking this
How big is he?(core, deluxe, etc)
A little taller than the core class rocklord mold (10.5 cm tall at the head)
@@Bakuoppthanks
Core. I believe 3P is still calling it Legends class, but yeah, he's about the size of a solid core figure.
NewAge is top tier at any scale. I own the show deco version of this and it’s fantastic.
They are indeed great.
Curious which version of the MS Combaticons you went with.
I still need to turn my Vortex into his arm self.
For my part I mixed and matched.
I've only picked up Onslaught so far, He's very good, but I was a little disappointed by the requirement of partsforming.
Outside of that it's very good and promising.
I rly need there to be a Chug scale KO of this, we need a good Starscream for the Chug scale and Hasbro refuses to deliver.
Man I need to get me some Newage figures
They are pretty good. I've only ever been Disappointed with their Grimlock.
@@PerspectiveEnd tbh I got their Optimus Prime and he hasn't disappointed me yet
Remember?
That large amount of text honestly scared me
Of course.
And yeah, it got to a point where I realized it was so long, it became more of a meme to make it even longer.
at least this verqion won't have yellowing problems
This is true, but my other version is doing pretty good on that front.
I would just like a good mainline G1 Starscream as opposed to that bloated ER figure
Yeah, the ER is really something that needs a quick replacement.
Speaking of 3rd party legends figures.sho7kd I get Iron Factory figures? Some are cheap, they look great and I love the Samurai line they have.
I like Ironfactory, but they aren't my Main Interest. Their more expensive figures tend to be really good, but their cheaper figures tend to be kind of mid.
looks clean, sadly cannot afford newage figures. might change if their warpath is any good cause i may or may not require a legends scale warpath
I need more samples of Warpath.
I got Kingdom Warpath. I'm waiting for Magic Square or Newage to make a Warpath. Iron Factory Warpath is long gone though.
I haven't got enough stable income to buy the big third parties, but I'll buy the unique ones.
Totally understandable, 3P legends while quite good is no joke in price.
hey I HIGHLY recommend mechanical skull armada starscream. if you can find it in stock. PICK IT UP, yes its legends scale but kinda works with other figures as the figure is really good,
I have been contemplating that, but the problem is that I don't have a Legends Armada shelf so where would that go?
Are you gonna do moar shattered glass? Or is there something about the concept you hate?
I don't dislike the concept at all, it's just not my main interest in the hobby.
@@PerspectiveEnd ok. Sorry if that sounded rude, just, thought you might feel pretty strongly about it
Its an interesting idea with SG Starscream usually being Cybertron or at least Cybertronian. Not a bad choice, just interesting. Be hilarious if they made a G1 Gun Megatron in SG colors, I'm not asking for it, just a hilarious "what if".
Is this the first time SG Starscream has been based off of an Earth mode figure?
I don't think so, but I could be wrong about that.
😮 I need those seekers
They are quite good, though you are looking at 3P Legends prices for them.
9/10, only thing this does wrong is that it’s not skywarp.
I mean there is a Skywarp version.
If newage scaled up this to mp scale, we're done, theres no need for a 3p mp starscream no more
Did the two swords take up the budget for the alternate hands and blast effects? Or did you just lose them?
I probably lost them. I don't remember there being other stuff, though I do think there were probably hands.
Im debating on getting newage stuff except devastator
Yeah their Devastator is ugly as hell. They are a solid company. Also don't get their Grimlock. It's bad.
I legit thought that was Jetfire because of the colors scheme alone, I didn't read the title or look at figure. I also agree it looks good that the nose cone isn't in the back.
I like the figure but damn that figure is small.
Also can you not scream about your likes I'm not trying to get the belt slipper wombo combo from my parents while getting cussed out
When you asked for the review too but it was in may :(
Hey at least it happened eventually, sorry I didn't notice yours. Or maybe I did, and my brain rewrote it as June...
Did you want it on like the 18th?
@@PerspectiveEndI think that was the exact date yeah. I greatly appreciate the review and I’m so glad you love this little guy as much as I do
Ok so how large of a figure backlog are we at, is it 50+?
Probably less than that, but not a lot.
this makes the siege one look like nova storm lol (why did hasbro have such a problem with yellowing)
I don't know. You'd think they'd have figured it out pretty quickly.
you can tuck in the gap on the waist
I had this question for a past video but, what did you think was the creepiest part about the dark crystal?
i need one of these legends figures i did find a good knock off thats a three pack of the main three
I think if new age took their legends and upscale it I think it could work, imagine this at mp or hell even chug scale.
Can you roast dead end
I should at some point yes.
Noice new vid
Hope yo enjoy.
Huh. Don't know if I'll get this figure but at least this is a good birthday gift lol.
I think the cockpit shouldnt have been transparent.
PerspectiveEnd i got in a crash and im watching your vid in the hospital
Skyfire is grey and purple. JETfire is white and red.
No that's incorrect. What Skyfire are you talking about? If you look up MP Skyfire he is white and Red.
Wow that’s a nice ass Star cream 😂
If hasbro does another startsxream they better just take notes because if they can fit this into like 4 inches gor 60 bucks they can make an 8 inch one for 30
Is it just me or does this stand kind of look like a shattered glass autobot symbol if you removed most of the features?
I suppose kind of yeah.
Nice, review more 3p legends figures
I do have a few lined up.
Magic square does have a starscream, but tbh its not as good
