You sure man? In that third round you de-selected doing a max move at least 3 times before you committed to it. Remember, if you read Max in any of the move names, you're dynamaxing. You should click Y and leave up the move descriptions to help you notice better. Do your best in the loser bracket and you can make it up in the grand finale! Good luck M2K
Everything about this game was great. from Alpharad's "commentary," to the way Mew2King destroyed him before falling to the anime protagonist. Even their cameras were the best. Mew2king's black background makes it look like he's being cheered on by a legion of followers while Alpharad is just chilling in his house.
This is some of the best VGC type content I've ever seen. You have obviously competent, pro class gamers operating with oven mitts and a blindfold in a game they aren't familiar with. It's like watching amateur baseball; you never know what's going to happen! Great idea Wolfe.
I’d love to see more things like this; not just for Smash players playing competitive Pokemon, but for competitive players playing other competitive games in general.
@@Gamesmarts194 The nice thing about Pokemon for this is basic knowledge and a good coach to help you make a team and learn how to use it means that, while they're not playing optimally, they aren't so bad that it's painful. Stick a VGC player in Ultimate, or, worse yet, Melee, with the same amount of practice and coaching, and it will be a lot more painful to watch. Pokemon has basically 0 barrier from execution. You aren't going to see a new player completely fail to do basic thing like you would in a more execution heavy game like Smash (or FPS or RTS games for that matter). The only other major competitive type of video game that you could do this so well in would be something like Hearthstone.
The reference actually goes deeper than that though. "We both played bad" is something that mew2king used to say in an attempt to cheer someone up that he beat in smash, until someone told him that it seems super condescending. Thats where the joke in the videos with Ellies brother originally comes from. It comes full circle here.
This definitely looks like a Mew2King strategy. Do one thing every single game thats really hard to mess with, and stick to that strategy no matter what.
Blitz Ashspear PokeNut November is where you have to nut to the Pokémon that you get via the Pokédex number. #122 is Mr Mine, so you have to jerk it/ flick the bean(I don’t discriminate) to that Pokemon. You are eligible to reroll, but once you do that pick is final.
I loves these invitationals a lot. I hope they never go away. It's so entertaining(and weirdly satisfying) to see Official-like VGC competitions and commentary done by the community.
