    It’s amazing how high watching this video spikes my anxiety 😬 even knowing that 1) I am not the one in the cave and that 2) y’all obviously made it out safely since you are posting the video. 😂 Thank you for sharing.

    I've been to Ginnie Springs and dove the Spring with a grate at the bottom, never true Cave Diving. I've been all over the Caribbean on diving trips, many wreck dives off the coast of NC and SC, Bikini and Truuk Lagoon. I'm Trimix certified, but just could never get the courage to start Cave Diving. I lost two wonderful friends due to diving accidents and gave it all up. I enjoy your videos.

      Ginnie ballroom (with the grate at the bottom) is a really fun and pretty dive! I am glad you have gotten to experience that! I totally understand, cave diving is not for everyone. I am jealous that you have been to Truuk. I would love to go. Sorry to hear about your friends... thank you for watching!

      You should try taking a cavern class! Lot's of beauty and no tight spaces

      @@scottsscubaservice Yeah it is, I never really swim on the mainline at Ginnie, just on some side tunnels, and even then I am still looking for good pull points.

      Yes, we'll occasionally see catfish throughout the caves. Once we saw a freshwater eel and depending on the system different crayfish.

    So how did the other divers die n y'all didn't

    • @scottsscubaservice
      @scottsscubaservice  2 года назад

      Cave diving is an extreme sport, but like all extreme sports with the proper training, risks can be managed and the sport can be enjoyed. There are many avid cave divers that explore this system on a regular basis quite safely.

    No guide lines or reels used?

    • @scottsscubaservice
      @scottsscubaservice  2 года назад

      There is a permanent line in the cave system that we use. Often I positioned the camera so it wasn’t in the shot, or if you know where to look you’ll see it

    If there were so many dead bodies or what ever in that cave then how come i didnt see any bones or what ever in the video

    • @scottsscubaservice
      @scottsscubaservice  2 года назад +3

      There are not any dead bodies in Ginnie Springs. There have been divers that have died while in the cave however they have all been recovered and returned to their families. In addition even if there were bodies I would never film and put them on youtube.

    Great video. Well shot. I believe most of us couch cave divers would love more commentary. Just a suggestion. I think if a channel does some engaging commentary it would recieve quite alot of positive feedback..of that is a goal at least. Just a suggestion. And thank you for the video

      Thank you for watching and I really appreciate the feedback! I will make a mental note to start adding more commentary. It really is something I should have been doing all along.

    stay safe, but, that is beyond reckless, imo. life is to precious.

    • @scottsscubaservice
      @scottsscubaservice  3 года назад +12

      Cave diving will never be totally safe, but saying what we are doing is 'beyond reckless' is very unfair. We make sure that our gear is in perfect working order, and go through rigorous training to prepare for cave dives, such as this, to mitigate and manage as much of the risk as we can. Life is incredibly precious, and that is why I, and my companions, have chosen to spend it exploring the incredible parts of this planet that few other have seen or explored. Just because it is something you would never do doesn't make it a reckless decision if it is done properly. I am more likely to get injured and killed in a car wreck than I am in a cave. I would rather spend my life exploring and challenging myself then staying 'safe' at home. Thanks for watching my video.

  • @RK-de5wg

    I love diving, but cave diving is better just watched from my couch on RUclips. I just can’t get into rock diving, lol! No fishy, just not interested. Everything from the start is just hazardous--no light other than your flash light, low ceilings, squishy spots, silt, head bumps, claustrophobia, one way in and usually one way out. Kudos to those that enjoy it though.

    • @scottsscubaservice
      @scottsscubaservice  3 года назад +1

      It certainly is a type of diving with additional hazards. The highest level of training and equipment need to be utilized before someone enters. We sure do love looking at the wet rocks though ;) Believe it or not we'll see catfish and blind crayfish which are pretty cool. Hope you enjoyed the video!!
