Like when she sings about how she’s “done the math”, perhaps it’s a reference to the “4,300 miles” that would make their long-distance relationship have “no solution”? Perhaps she and her former boyfriend used to look at the “aurora skies” together in her hometown of Reykjavík, Iceland, which would also confirm the “4,300 miles” thing again (from LA to Reykjavík.) Her desperation could also make her longing for him seem like “weeks” rather than just “sixteen long days.” And also also, it’s very much possible that she randomly caught “the sight of a boy […] standing out on Melrose Avenue” while “driving today.” But that’s just some weird and random speculation I guess while listening to her songs 😅
