This is Laufey's most underrated song, it's so gorgeous. I can fall asleep to this, cry to this, and daydream all at once. This song is enchanting, we really don't deserve Laufey.

Those 2 cello solos were beautiful. Was that you? Who arranged this and what orchestra played this so wonderfully? Listening to you with a full orchestra is amazing.
I played the cello solos! and The string “orchestra” is just lots of layers of cello played by myself and my twin sister on violin!

@@laufey you inspire me more and more everyday thank you. I hope to one day be making music like this with my twin brother for many people to hear. It must be fun just jamming with your twin and making amazing music together. Me and my brother always have trouble making music together because he doesn't really know any music theory and he only plays guitar mostly by ear but I know mostly only music theory and don't have great ear training. So we constantly kinda go back and forth trying to figuring each other out. It's a little hectic but it can also be very exciting and rewarding once we make something we both like

I'm moving out of my childhood home in a few weeks and this song just hits so hard- I'm so attached to every piece of this place and I'm someone who gets homesick so much and so easily so I just hope I don't struggle too much when I do move

something about this reminded me so much of my childhood, I think she's done that on purpose but she did a really good job with it. I think it is this feeling of being overwhelmed by everything back in my childhood. Also the dark, which is where the night light comes in. I always needed some kind of light back then and it always gave some kind of comfort. And all that change is kind of stepping out of that comfort which is necessairy, but it leaves you out in the big, cold, overwhelming world until you somehow make it and realise how beautiful life actually is. It just reminds me of the random melancholy that I felt as a kid and it's so confusingly beautiful.
I wish this was her dedut song. This was always my favorite song to listen to but I’m not upset with the song that helped her gain popularity. I’m so happy for her. I still remember when she only had 200k subscribers. I missed gatekeeping her music lol but truly I’m so happy for her.

Thank you for releasing such simple and beautiful music and for leaking the sheet music for it all. I've been learning all your songs and I've found them to be deceptively easy to play. Your songs are really an awesome example of the greatness in simplicity. You make it easy for all types of music lovers to like your music both nom musician and musician alike. Listening to your album I always felt it sounded so difficult to play but I'm actually able to sightreading very easily. Very slowly at first but it's not super difficult to learn. Thank you much for all of this wonderful music. Once I learn all of the songs and practice my singing a bit more a hope to upload a cover of all the songs on your album. So I've got all of just like Chet memorized almost completely. Now I'm just going to work on getting my voice to sound decent so I can try singing while playing. Wow. Didn't know singing and playing at the same time was so difficult to do.
