Like the channel. I got a steep drive , 304 stone , ruts out and needs "water bars" for run off repaired LOVE to see what a Ventrac could do with those Float options and attachments available.
The learning curve with the Powerrake is significant. There is a lot going on with a driveway job. It’s cool to watch as you learn the machine! I love the ventrac system and the build quality is top notch
"Driveway renovation is lile and onion is just doesn't stink.... I love watching the transformation!" You get it! I am the same way I love watching and listening to the machinery.....the quote of the day for me!
The Power Rake moves material more efficiently in reverse. Through a lot of lessons I've learned over the years, I primarily use it that way, plus it's less stress on the attachment and the tractor itself. There's also a LOT less crabbing in reverse. This turned out nice
@@LansingLawnServiceLLC I'm not sure how long you've been using the Power Rake, but I've learned a LOT over the years. I don't know everything but I'll gladly pass on what I can to those who want to learn
Yeah that is what I recommended but they haven’t been able to find anyone that will tailgate the gravel because they have a power line over their driveway.
@@LansingLawnServiceLLC Go rent a Bob cat from home depot Haven't dumped that in front of the driveway And you spread it with a Bobcat and make that money.
always up sell a fresh load of gravel! the fresh gravel will ALWAYS make your work stand out. and if you get a good dump truck driver that knows how to spread it will take nothing to spread the rest out with that harley rake
Yeah he may have removed the pot holes, but with out some more stone it won't hold and will be right back to the way it was, he even said they have mostly large stone, so a coating of 57's would hold it together and really make it stand out

I'm looking into adding this to my business. I've run one before but for a camp that I used to work for. I was wondering how you charge a customer for this particular service?
On big puddles I try to drain the water before I disturb the soil, I get better compaction immediately. Just my two cents I wonder what the hourly rate of the ventrac vice some gravel in the low areas, then top dress it with ventrac, time will be the best judge.
Just broke my power rake on 2nd driveway lol we grow rocks here in the mountains but it was pulling out 1.5 -2ft boulders, blew a belt on a piece that was about 3 ft wide and 4” thick got it out but it took a tooth and belt with it. The power broom is unreal! Saved me 12 hours on a clean up! Took me 14 hours last spring, took me 1.75 hours this year.
Ya we have a road here where we live and no one wants to take on the road been turned down by many people as it's nothing, but boulders and if you take the top boulders your just going to have more under that. I told the people the only way I see it getting done is to place material on top of it ever to dig down.

Hello, I volunteer for a historic cemetery. We have a drive that encircles the 6-acre cemetery. We have had the city lay caliche before, but we've been quoted by a company $100k to re-lay rock on the whole drive. (We are a nonprofit, volunteers and donation based, we barely have a buck to our name) We are alongside a bayou and the ship channel in Pasadena Texas, so water stands a lot. I can't get anyone to quote us for using a power rake, they just want to quote laying more rock = $100K! So I have even looked into renting a power rake, can't find one. Am I just in a bad region of the country where I can't find a power rake to be rented or a company to use a power rake only? Thanks. . .love your videos.
You have standing water on both sides of the driveway, there's only one fix for that and milling up and regrading isnt it. Let's see what it looks like a year from now😂
I have just recently found your channel and have become a HUGE fan of your work with driveways and the Ventrack! Please make more videos like this one so I can learn and enjoy! Your commentary is soothing like Jim Nantz at the Masters!
It would be easier if you pull the gravel not pushing it. It is like when you use hand truck when you have hauling something. It is easy to pull handtruck backwards than pushing, specially when coming up on steps.
You are right, it is easier on the machine, however it is not easier on the operator. I like to see where I am going and what I am doing at the same time.
Look forward to more driveway projects from you on the Ventrac in 2024! Your videos were amazing so please continue to share in the new year!

A tandem dump of gravel would have done wonders on that driveway, its too low, it needs raising.
They have power lines above so they can’t get anyone to come out and dump.

Looks like we could have used a couple of tons delivered.
Seems if they brought in a load of gravel it would make for better compaction with the dirt that’s already there!

I think you need to add gravel, thats dirt with stones in it. Doubt it will last long.
