    Joe Namath is probably the most overrated quarterback in football history. He barely completed 50 percent of his passes and he threw more interceptions (220) than touchdowns (173).

      I hated him then as an upstart to the NFL, but I have since softened my opinion. What you say may be true, but he did have at least three really good years and led his team to a SB win when some writers had the Jets as 40 point underdogs. His 4009 yards passing that year was a record that stood for 13(?) years.

      A lot of QBs completed 50% of passes and threw more INTs than TDs back then. The rules made it a lot harder to pass then.
