Very nice but it would be someone with very deep pockets that would spend $500 for this project. I would agree that the cost of materials and hours to make this would put it at the $500 price point. I just don't see many people willing to spend that much for it.
they wont! same shit can be made to the same standards and shipped in for about a tenth the cost. but would you get many view if you offer to show people how to lose money?
It doesn’t matter what most people would be willing to pay for it. Who would pay over $200 for a cutting board? Not many, but I won’t sell one for any less. I would rather sell one board for $200, then five for $40 each. As makers, if we don’t put a good valuation on the items we create and sell, nobody else with. Picasso sold paintings for tens of thousands of dollars each… imagine if he would’ve sold his art at flea markets? After all, who would pay over $100,000 for a painting of a guy whose face resembled that of a flounder? No disrespect intended, I’m just offering a different view point, that’s all.

Your theory is sound except in the fact that it's unlikely you would only sell 5 cutting boards at a $40 price point in the same time frame as you would sell one for $200 provided everything else is equal. Like I said in my original post, some will buy his offering at $500, just not many. I have worked many craft shows and have learned what is the max price point people will buy things for, what will sell and what people will just look at. If I went to a different location, that price point and what will sell may be different so it's not just what you make, it's where you're going to sell it and to who.
Very nice and simple! I love using my planer! I think I will make my Wife one of these in blue, using looped strings of white LED Christmas lights that I have left over (but never opened, as we already had too many) from Christmas clearance! Thank you for sharing!!! Great video!!!👍

there is a mistake in the title, its transforming 100 to 50 not 500.
dont get me wrong, it looks great, but it does not look 500, and when we see most steps of making, it just makes sure it doesnt worth 500.

У нее себестоимость дороже 3000 . 1 кг смолы 1300 минимум . Плюс ценное дерево . Плюс работа . Но для людей которые ничего никогда сами делают и покупают исключительно дешман из китая ценность вещей неведома .
