- USU Students doing the "I Believe" chant at the last home Men's Basketball game of the 2011 regular season. Full student section with blue latex gloves. This is the same cheer/chant that is becoming famous in the 2014 World Cup with a commercial.

I loved the culture at Utah state. Most people who go to school there really love the experience. I spent two years being miserable at BYU and then had the time of my life at USU. Definitely the place to go if you want to enjoy the college experience.

I guess people don't know Utah State has been doing this chant for over 30 years, and that the USU basketball team has won over 90% of all home games ever played in the Spectrum. Spectrum was built in the 70s.
And undefeated at home this year with a huge win over the 13th ranked team last night

The chant began at the Naval academy in the 90's, but it most certainly was perfected at Utah State.

But I’ll take the pure decibel level of the best college basketball atmospheres (Phog Allen, Mackey Arena, Assembly Hall, The Pit, etc…) over any venue in Europe, indoors or outdoors. Some of those arenas have no trouble getting above 120 decibels. That’s tougher to deal with than any chant

Johnny J go to my school in north carolina. theres no school spirit at basketball games. we won our conference in the big south regular season, but no one ever goes to the games. and when they do, everyone sucks at cheering. every time i get into the game (like getting loud), im one of maybe 5 people that do it.
I'm not Mormon, but all I could hear, per syllable, was, "I believe this church is true."
