The Gaang is supposedly travelling to the "meeting point" for the Invasion, but they decided to meet people and try and live with the Fire Nation. They're NOT looking for a firebending teacher, because according to their plan, on the day of the Eclipse, when the Invasion takes place, there won't be any firebending power.
I love what they did with Katara in this episode! Also Aang has his tattoos because he became a master. He is actually the youngest airbending master ever. One of the things an airbender has to do is create their own 'move' basically and Aang achieved that by creating the air scooter.
If you want to know why Combustion Man has a metal leg and a metal arm, look below. He accidentally blew them off with his powers when he was younger. :D
I really liked the development in this episode. that mental firebending is really OP too. Although as nice as this episode was, the next one is the one most of us have been waiting for :)
Not the best, but still a great episode. Toph gets a lot of good development, and I absolutely love that Sokka and Toph conversation with Katara listening, it's such a touching and heartfelt scene. Also Sparky Sparky Boom Man.
Wrong. Pedophiles are those attracted to prepubescent individuals. Ephebophiles are those attracted to individuals legally underage but physically have gone through puberty.
If I could describe this episode in one word, it would be "fun". From the carefree grifting to the unique solution to Katara and Toph's wooden prison troubles, this is just a fun episode. It's also very funny. Very funny. It has the best blind jokes out of the entire series, some funny moments with the correlation between Katara and a mother, and Sokka and Aang working off of each other perfectly. There's also some very effective emotional moments, leading up to a message about responsibility. The climax is also very exciting, especially the part when Combustion Man's chakra is blocked by the pebble, and he accidentally blows up the air around him, and is unscathed (sure). If I had any problem, it would be the aforementioned unscathing, and Katara's motivation to scam with Toph. I feel it would be a lot stronger if she took the scam to teach a lesson or something. Otherwise, I love this episode.
The creators have said that Combustion Man self taught himself this form of bending. The reason he has metal enhancements is because he accidentally blew off his limbs when practicing his bending.
I love that you guys have so many questions, makes me eager to see you react to the next episode everytime. Speaking of which, the next episode did give me the creeps as a kid.
As usual, this "filler" episode offers some masterful character exploration and development. What a show. Can't wait for the next episode. I think I've been waiting for that episode since you began with these reactions.
This episode was incredible, I love how it went into Katara's motherly side of how she acts like a mom basically to everyone in the gaang, and how Sokka talked about Katara to Toph and how he told her how he forgot how his own mother looks like b/c Katara plays that role so perfectly for him and how she replaced their mother for him, the way it was written was just amazing, and what made it even more perfect was that Katara had heard the whole thing, I wish the writers added a scene in this episode where Katara talks to Sokka about what he said that would have been really sweet, and the whole fight at the end with combustion man was really cool as well! Also, I can't wait for the next episode, that is the episode EVERYONE has been waiting for and has been in the comments sections in the past videos for months!!
This was such a great for Toph, Sokka and Katara. I really love how they scam scammers with Earthbending and I love the return of Wang Fire. This episode really shows how much Katara and Sokka care about each other. And how much their mothers death affected the both of them. It also really shows the core of Katara's character. It was also great to see Toph expressing how she felt about her parents and Katara. It was great to see Combustion Man again and I loved combustion bending being confirmed. Also the fight against him was awesome. Katara realizing she could use her sweat was always a great moment. Great reaction as always. :>D
the closer you are to the end, the more you have to preper for the Nostalgia Critic's AVATAR trilogy. the top 11 best and worst, and the movie review, in that order. YOU NEED TO DO THEM. WHO IS WITH ME?!?!!!!!??!
Been waiting for this because lots of people I watch just aren't uploading today for some reason... It's 11pm where I am and imma get myself coffee and biscuits (or cookies as some call it), and gonna watch this!
I always thought that they just didn't get how messenger hawks worked. It made more sense than the hawk knowing where to go. Momo for instance, in the episode where sokka and katara were sick, had no clue what katara was asking.
At this point, Aang isnt worried about Firebending, because he plans to fight the Fire Lord during the eclipse. He wont be able to firebend during that
"We were dogs without horses - we were running wild!" - The One Thing , John Mulaney That's one of my favorite skits he's ever done! I love that you mentioned it!
I agree with nearly everything said at 8:35 about Season 3. All of the episodes with very, VERY few exceptions are a blast to rewatch. "The Awakening" was a good season premiere and excellent followup to the Season/Book 2 finale; "The Headband" was an interesting look inside the culture of the Fire Nation youth while also being a funny spin on "blending into school" trope episodes; "Sokka's Master" was sort of unnecessary but's a good thing to watch/listen to for a good mix of relaxation and comedy; "The Beach" was very much needed backstory and character development for the four main Fire Nation teens, and then of course there's this episode, which was the closure to the subplot of Toph and Katara not getting along, sort of like how Kanan and Rex didn't get along too well in Rebels until "Stealth Strike". I wasn't a fan of "The Painted Lady" or "The Avatar and the Firelord" for some reason, though. The latter's better than the former, but it isn't really that entertaining to me. It wasn't bad, but it's sort of at the bottom of the list of good S3 episodes. Shut off the lights and huddle up in a blanket for Monday's episode, by the way. It is one of the most genuinely terrifying things I've ever seen in my adult life.
RUclips has been really dumb with your videos as of recent. Half the time I see your videos on the home tab on my mobile rather than my sub box. I really hope this gets fixed.
I even went through my sub box to make sure I didn't miss it on accident, but I couldn't find it. I saw the Legends of Tomorrow reaction there but this wasn't there. I got lucky and saw this in my home tab.
Why didn't you guys watch "Escape from the Spirit World"? It's set between Books 2 and 3 and it's about what was happening to Aang internally after being blasted by Azula at the end of Book 2. And you learn more about Avatar Roku, Avatar Kyoshi, Avatar Kuruk, and Avatar Yangchen. It should be in the Book 2 extras on the DVD.
personally I thought he made the eye as a tool to help him concentrate his lower and that's why when he was hot there and lost his concentration it wasn't focused and just blew ul
Never heard of you, but I literally just finished this series for the first time ever a week or so ago. Maybe I'll have to start watching your reactions.
You should. They are funny and have interesting conversations afterwards. I've finished The Last Airbender series a couple of times. The first time was when the show was weekly aired on Nickelodeon in 2006 or so. The good old times.
Interesting how Aang receives no criticism for his part in scamming people for money, but a certain other protagonist in the Avatar universe would've received all the criticism in the world for doing the exact same thing. (PS: This comment is not directed towards Blind Wave.)
Early Access for the next episode will be up on our Patreon very soon guys. Had a few technical difficulties with rendering today.
man cant wait!
GrimRadke bruh, same
Blind Wave where the arrow reaction 5x11 it happen on Wednesday ago
Blind Wave any estimation on about how long until it'll be up?

Aang got his arrow tattoos when he became a master
He was the youngest kid to get his mastery tattoos
He got his tattoos because he invented the air scooter
The M0lefster that was one of his tests to get his mastery tattoos. Make an air bending move
@@marvelosproductions9774 He got his tattoos because he mastered 36 techniques

Eric's face when sokka said "combustion man" was priceless 😂
Haha, I've been waiting for Eric to find out that he really IS nicknamed "Combustion Man." :D
If you want to know why Combustion Man has a metal leg and a metal arm, look below.
He accidentally blew them off with his powers when he was younger. :D
Obi-Wan cut them off because he had the high ground.

In my heart, he will always be Sparky Sparky Boom Man.
I'm so excited for them to watch the next episode! They're going to love it

There are spoilers for the first season of Korra in the movie review, so they should watch that first.
Malcolm Ferguson They not so much spoilers as rhey are just references, just Amon/M Night and the newsreel style openings as far as I remember.
Well, even so, their reaction would be better if they actually get those references.
You see Amon's face in like the first episode, it's hardly a spoiler.
