I sure love the warm weather down in Fla. but like you said the hills and woods will always hold a place in my heart. Also SE Ky where my Dads from, I’d like to find a place up in a holler and only go in town for supplies or the occasional weekend to goof around.
That’s great buddy, I’m trying to do the same thing. Morgan Co. is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, that’s my kind of place lol. I’ve had my fill of the stinking city and it’s occupants.
Hi Keith and Dawn. I’ve ridden that route a few times and enjoy it every time. 78 is a super fun state route. I am planning on returning to the area in the spring as Old Man winter is knocking on the door here in SE Michigan. Southern Ohio has the nicest rides in the state. This is one of your best videos, really enjoyed it. I gotta stop at the Boondocks this time around. Thanks and stay well bro.
I have missed Old Man Ronan videos since his untimely passing 😢 I have been wanting to take this rout many yrs, I have a now antique Honda Valkyrie, now added Burro Verde KLR 650. They would have the In Zane Valkyrie meet in Zanesville. I was on the road many yrs and having time off on a special date was difficult. Now I’m further away in Chicago from central Ohio than before. ( Was living in Indy) if there’s a special ride for the mini dragon coming up let me know please. Nothing big, I’m not a big crowd guy. Yow won’t find me at Sturges or Daytona but I’ll go to a poker run type ride. Thanks for a ride down the little dragon. 😊
Just caught your channel for the first time.( Fellow Buckeye worthless nut ) Im sure you've been to Hillbilly hotdogs just across the Ohio ditch in W.Va. different dogs and the whole staff dancin. Dancin and singing because they got tipped is fun. My scooters are on winter life support maybe see you folks in the spring
One summer day last year i rode from Woodsfield back to Lake Hope. Stepped in Boondocks for dinner but than found out could not afford the wait, or then ride in dark. Ended had a quick eat at McDonalds😂.
339 between Caldwell and Beverly is way closer to tail of the dragon riding than Route 78. you could even stop at the cornerstone inn, in Beverly for great food.
Haha, Rt. 555 runs from Zanesville to Little Hocking and is called the Triple Nickel. It’s a great route! We have some content on our Fall ride there coming soon! 😀
I made the mistake of trying to drag a 45’ trailer through there, that wasn’t the brightest of my ideas. I almost high centered a couple times on the switchbacks you guys be safe and thanks for taking us along for the ride 🐾✌️🇺🇸
You could have taken old river road on west side of Muskegon river, not as straight, have eaten there twice, also "The Cornerstone Restaurant" in Beverly oh, I've been across rt78 in my over the road trk, rt 668 off of old river rd, is also a good scenic ride. It'll bring you through Crooksville, were Haul an Mccoy pottery use to be.
Great ride guys. We don’t have the quiet winding roads in Colorado like you do. Keith, we notice you have a phone holder but you don’t carry your phone in it. Why not?
I’m sure you have some great scenery out there though. I will use the phone holder when I am using it for gps or if I’m streaming music. I’m not usually listening to music while I’m filming. It’s a very good holder though. It’s made by Ciro and I got it off Amazon.
555 is dangerous with all of the blind curves and steep short hill. I had the pucker factor riding it, bracing for the unexpected on ever blind curve and hill. I won't ride it again because of that. As jackblair said 536 is probably one of the best in ohio
I concur, that is called cousin of the dragon. 78 is okay but nothing to compare with any dragon I've been on. 555 is interesting but very dangerous with all of the blind turns and short Rollercoaster hills. I ride pa., Wva, Maryland, and Virginia regularly and am spoiled. While southern ohio is okay, only the eastern end between 70 and Marietta rate for my style of riding. The rest is cruiser rides.
After living in Florida for 2 years ,I really missed the riding in Ohio, I'm back home now and enjoying getting back to the twisties.
There are definitely plenty of those in Ohio. Welcome back! Be safe!

We recently moved away from Columbus into the country. We love it! Be safe!

The only sounds we hear now at night are the coyotes! Lol
Hey Keith and Dawn, Thanks for the nice ride. Prayers Flying for safe travels!
Hi there! Hope all is well in your world! Glad you enjoyed. Be safe!

Hey there! Thanks for checking us out. Yes, we love Hillbilly Hotdogs. We will be there in the spring for sure. Be safe!

Haha, we have stopped for a Big Mac when there isn’t anything else around. Hope you didn’t eat the onions! Thanks for watching and be safe!
Love Boondocks !!
Great food huh!? 👍
I've been wanting to go to "Jim Bo's burgers and beer" in south Bloomingville, on rt 56 an rt664.
We stopped there for lunch over the summer. Great place!
Your going to end up there, with aliens living in you house!😮
Aliens can ride with us too if they want! 😂
I enjoyed & subscribed!
Awesome! Thank you! Welcome aboard!
Nice ride
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching. Be safe!
Nice video, we will have to come to Ohio in the spring, its not too far for us.
Sounds good! There is some great riding here. Spring isn’t that far away! 😀

Thanks for the suggestions and thanks for watching. We will have to check those out. Be safe!!
There’s another road from Marrietta across to Athens called 555 its one winding SOB. It’s the Lizards tail 😆

Haha, yeah that probably wasn’t a great idea on that road. Glad you made it though. Thanks for coming along with us!

While on 536 look for kiedaisch point park sign on your right and follow it to a really cool overlook of ohio river
Will do!
I posted a video on the 536 a while back, that’s a great road.
Have you tried 664 between Bremen and Logan? That’s also a fun road.
Cool, I will have to check it out. Yes, 664!is a great route too. Thanks and be safe!
Try Route 4 & 536 show people roads they will not believe, safe and fun can be boring.
Thanks for the suggestions! Be safe!
Yes 536 is the true dragons tail of ohio only short run though. Better to start at Hannibal and go up to 78
Thanks!
Agreed! Rt536 is very good.
How do you enjoy riding a bike dressed up like the michelin man? 🥶
We try to ride in all weather and dress accordingly! Thanks for watching and be safe!
Try the triple nickel...
We have some Fall content coming soon on the Triple Nickel. Definitely a great route!
536
I have heard about 536 and plan on checking it out. Thanks!

The hills with the turns on the other side are definitely interesting!
This is not close to the dragon. Try sr 26 or 145.
No it’s not, it’s just what it’s called. Those are great routes too! Thanks for the suggestions! Be safe!
536
