It's good that Philippines have locally made ARs, 1911, and other SMG platforms.👍👍
don't forget, it's the philippines the reason that the colt 1911 was made.
crazy bunch of psychos on drugs back in the old days, god I love the history of the philippines my nation
There were reports of UDMC rifles experiencing stoppages and critical malfunctions. Partly the reason why only a limited number are in service with different AFP branches and that majority of small arms in the Military are procured thru US brands.
That’s actually true. There were rifles from UDMC that didn’t pass the test of various AFP branches. The rifles will work properly, but parts need to be replaced in order to make sure of proper functions. It’s actually why the rifle in the video has parts from other companies
major parts po ba need palitan
@@MangTeteng7237 kinakalawang agad yung barrel.
A low quality rifle, not military/police grade. Not suitable for unconventional and conventional warfare. We used this in our tango mike unfortunately the gun malfunctions, I cant f*ckinggadamn retaliate!
We actually have kinda like .300 BLK ,it's called Musang ..
Musang = 7.62x37mm
.300 BLK = 7.62 x 35mm
Both are subsonic and have effective range of 300 meters..
it'd be cool having a rifle/sbr named Musang similar to that of the Honey Badger
Where can we find the round?
greetings from Texas!

I think the Ban should be lifted
Now it's lifted. Check the news
It's now lifted
Great review you deserve my subscription sir... Very clear easy to understand 😉😉😉 more power to your channel👊
@@Tinderodotcom Thank you. Hope you’ll enjoy our other videos as well. We got more videos coming soon 😊
How much po kaya yan?and what type of ltopf pwede?salamat po
If the Ban be lifted.. i will purchase 2 units in support for the company that cares to filipino gun owners
Welp, wait until March 16
very professional review of the udmc rifle you deserve my sub
two more things is that the stock udmc stainless steel barrel and how reliable is the rifle overall base on your experience?
overall goodstuff brother keep it up👌
MAS MAGANDA PA ANG BARIL NATIN DITO SA PINAS. DAPAT SUPORTAHAN
95% of those parts are from American brands 😅 such as the geissele trigger, dead air can, Idk the handguard, radian raptor ambi charging handle (I think) even the bolt carrier group is from iron city (which is american) and the foregrip is from BCM (also american) and even the eotech
My AR build has a Rise Armaments trigger ( not as best as Giselle), PWS complete upper with a Radian Raptor ambi charging handle and a piston system ( not DI ) and a Wilson Combat lower ( except the trigger group)
Hey PJ, great video. Appreciate the content you've made. Hope you make more videos. I want to ask for consumer advice as a novice gun enthusiast, I'm really interested in purchasing a UDMC S5 DGIS, it has an attractive price and it's locally made. However, I am apprehensive about the reliability issues, some points you touched on already in this comments section. With all the modifications you've done for the upper and lower receiver of this gun, have you had any other issues or has it been completely resolved? Cost-wise, is it cheaper/worth it to modify the UDMC or should I just get a Colt M4A1(or some other big name manufacturer) and put my mind at ease? Thanks!
It’s actually cheaper to modify the UDMC S5 DGIS than it is to buy a Colt AR in the Philippines. The base model Colt ARs are going for 190k pesos for a base model AR with thermoplastic handguards from Topspot. You’d still be modifying the base model Colt ARs. Better go with the S5 instead
@@bad.international Gets. Appreciate the tip man! will definitely go for it now.
Nice Review, hope you can review the S9-DBB from UDMC also, thanks
Sana available na for civilians.
Pa review naman ng Breecher shotgun
optic and bolt carrier group alone probably more money than those ar's ....you can use internal parts for on both rifle are interchangeable dont know if they share same buffer tube pls comment if they do...
are you using mid length gas or carbine?
they should be both gas
Lift the ban 😢
Good news
done
I went to the Paranaque ofc but it's closed. No one is answering my calls though the numbers are ringing. Is the company still in operation? Do you sell to private citizens?
They’re still in operation. They’re usually open on weekdays and they do sell to private citizens. However most firearms sales are on hold at the moment since there was a cyber attack on PNP FEO and info on firearm records and firearm licenses were all compromised
Try contacting their facebook page
Can a company UDMC make a mini 14 style for civilians,3lbs.trigger pull with match grade barrel/bull barrel.
There’s no point in getting a Mini 14. If you live in the Philippines, there’s no weird restriction on firearm like a pistol grip ban similar to that found in ban states. If you live overseas, UDMC has yet to export any of their firearms like Armscor
On March 4, 2024, it was announced on the news that the PNP will now once again allow semi-auto rifle ownership for civillians again and would be effective in approximately 15 days or so from the announcement. I am thinking of getting a DGIS S5 myself once I upgrade to a type 3 LTOPF. I do have some questions though.
1. Is that a 16" barrel with a carbine-length or mid-length gas tube?
2. Regarding the stoppages and issues you experience thus the upgrades you did, is this a 1st Generation unit that you acquired before the ban was put in place? If so, are the current Generation DGIS S5 more reliable now?
3. Was the rifle not tuned properly and under-gased causing cycling issues? If so, did you have the gas port enlarged a bit to cycle effectively?
4. What buffer weight are you using?
1. It’s a 14.5” carbine length barrel in the video. You can ask them to make a 16” barrel with a mid length gas tube. It’s actually what I got for my second rifle from them
2. The rifles we got from UDMC were prior to the 2016 rifle ban. We’re unfamiliar with the reliability of the rifles that they’re producing now, but we’re hoping it’s more reliable now
3. The gas block front sights were not aligned properly which was causing one of the issues. It’s why I switched it out with a low profile gas block and changed out the handguard. We’ve heard from certain people online that the hole for their gas block on their barrel is too big which causes some issues for the users.
4. It’s a Spike’s Tactical T2 buffer
@@bad.international Can your rifle now run fine from low grade steel-cased ammo to brass-cases Milspec ammo with hotter loads? What is the rifling twist on your rifle? And is the barel rifling button cut or cold hammer forged?
@@MrAnimeMilitary Haven’t tried running steel ammo through it to be honest with you. I’m waiting until the ban is lifted completely before running low quality ammo through it for research purposes.
The barrel is a 1:7 twist
@@bad.internationalDo you know if the barrel's rifling is button cut or cold hammer forged? I am picky with barrel longevity.
awesome review bro....
Lift the ban please
Done!
do UDMC participate any gun show?
@@edwinprotacio1984 they used to participate in the Tac Expo, but I’m not sure if they still do. You can always go to their store/manufacturing facility if ever you’re near Parañaque
Is that a fortis nightrail?what is the length?
It is. It’s a 14” if I remember correctly
For export po?
Hey, how's the performance now in 2024? any major issues on the rifle?
@@averagejuanph It’s been great. Quality control for their products has been 50/50, but I was lucky enough to have no issues with mine
I'm subscribe mate! upload more of this will ya? lol. would you recommend this rifle as an owner? is it not hard to find parts upgrades?
@@averagejuanph Thank you for you sub. AR aftermarket parts are available in almost all of AFAD gun stores as well as other gun stores here in the Philippines. Finding parts for your rifle here won’t be an issue.
As for recommending an S5 DGIS from UDMC, there are numerous options for AR rifles now that’s available locally. A budget friendly option would be the SAM Trailblazer, but if you’re looking for good quality AR15s, I’d recommend the Daniel Defense ARs from Nashe
Does the Philippines have type 81 LMG?
Not that I’m aware of to be honest with you. Majority of the firearms in the Philippines are chambered in either 5.56 or 7.62x51
@badinternational1795 woooh wow! That's awesome. Thank you.
Btw you should make more vids, and make more of those firearms you can own in the Philippines type. Or a firearms for new firearms enthusiast.
Whats the preis of that rifle
Link po san nakuha ang handguard?
Is it aluminum??
@@MarkRaphValerta yes
yo great video and a little history on it.. the laws change already right? civilians can now own AR15s or 10s?? I would like to purchase rifles when i live there in the near future so i would like to know thanks, new subscriber here.. looking forward to see the new videos.
@@Silverbackpinoy The AR ban has been lifted, but unfortunately gun stores are still not selling them to civilians
Damn so gorgeous!
i thought civilians are only allowed to use rifles in semi-auto configuration but how come the rifle shown in the video has a fully automatic function???
It’s semiauto only rifle. The intro has a close up on the lower that shows it’s semiauto only and there’s no auto sear installed
Can civilians own an AR15 in the Philippines?
Yes. It’s allowed under RA10591
@@bad.international However the ban since Marawi is still in effect, yes?
@@ricolek4166 it’s both yes and no actually. It technically is in place still, however, there are “amnesties” being offered for a very steep fee.
Until the ban gets challenged by local gun groups, there’s unfortunately no way to legally own a rifle without having to pay the very high fee for the license.
People who were able to purchase their rifles prior to President Duterte being in office, they’re legally allowed to keep them and to renew their registrations
@@bad.international there’s supposed to be a gun-lobbying party in the country. what the hell are they doing???
New subscriber here buddy! 😁 Can you plesse do a video review and testing about shotguns? Pretty sure many of your viewers will appreciate it!
Gas operated po? Ginagamitan po ba ng butane yan?

ban has been lifted, bois! Time to get our barbies!
I hate how I can't find any pricing information on these. Can UDMC post base pricing of their base models. Seems sketchy when you're not transparent with things like these.
As for your inquiry sir, we have several barrel lengths for our S5-DGIS (10.5inch, 11.5inch, 14.5inch)
S5-DGIS in 10.5" barrel length price is P111,350 including the VAT and registration
S5 DGIS in 11.5" barrel length price is P119,190 including the VAT and registration
S5 DGIS in 14.5" barrel length price is P129,270 including the VAT and registration

Would you recommend 11.5in if suppressing full time?
11.5” ARs are awesome, especially if you’re putting a suppressor on it

How reliable is your UDMC rifle?
There were some issues unfortunately. It’s why some parts have been replaced to fix the reliability of the rifle

Who invented ArmaLite? Answer: Armando Balite, Filipino
That’s actually incorrect. Armalite was founded by George Sullivan. It wasn’t a Filipino who started Armalite

Gun laws should be revised and relax..much prefer if we have the right to own one..like in U.S...permits are hard to acquire
@@jerichocarreon Under the current law, it is considered as a right of qualified citizens. However, the problem comes with the implementation of the law. There’s work being done at the moment to amend the law and make it better for gun owners
@@bad.international just want to ask if ever I get a gun license and purchase a rifle..what kind of permit do I need to have if I would bring my fire arm to a shooting range and do I need a certificate from that range In advance? To show officers on check points if ever stopped?

By law, Philippine govt actually suspend civilians acquiring cal. 5.56
The law allows civilian ownership of 5.56. It’s actually an executive memorandum that’s been issued by former president Duterte that bans civilians from getting 5.56
Wakakakakakakmaka
Lift the ban, sabi ng palanunin ng nanay nya

Hard to beat the Taurus T4 for the price
Hi wanted to know the thread pattern of your dead air pyro . I ordered DGIS S5 to support the Filipino product I believe upgrading the BGC and some components with the best US made aftermarket parts should make it at par if not far superior than the branded ones. Your setup is the one I am going for and should be sufficient for competition and home defense.
