you have exactly my thoughts. but they are going to keep it in city museum so people can see.
lots of Hollywood movies were incomplete without pay phone including one where Colin Farell was kept at gun point in phone booth. Ironically called phone booth.

@@brajeshsingh2391 Yeah that is true. I am glad they are going to keep it at the museum. I do remember that Phone Booth movie and I actually thought it was surprisingly good considering it taking place in a single location. 😄

Do you even know a phone number by heart? If you don’t, this pay phone is the least of your worries. Growing up when everyone used landlines, you either had to remember it by heart or had a booklet. Now that everyone texts or googles, I doubt that a lot of people made calls.

There was a restaurant in NYC that kept the phone booth (with a seat in it), even though it didn't have the phone connected, so that people could take their cell phones in there and have their conversations, without disturbing the other customers trying to have a quiet meal.
I think that would be a great thing to do all over the place! Tired of hearing other peoples conversations while trying to mind my own business and just enjoy a meal in a restaurant. 📞📱
