I brought this in DVD from ARB 20 years ago , cost me $50 😂 . These early 4wd monthly videos are what got me interested in 4wds’s Thanks John aka Roothy
Thanks Roothy I've been searching for videos of otis and this one in particular. I wish I'd had the foresight to keep the hundreds of DVDS that came with the magazine.
Mate it’s epic down there we just did 3days outa trial riding climies and the old mine tracks had a ball filming it best place on earth excellent episode John cheers cobba
Good old 4WDMONTHLY...... Its never been better after the change to action and what they call it now. Still waiting for the 1st fraser DVD to be uploaded Roothy .... Shaun and Glen are to involved into the Crap 4WD27 think what 4x4ing is really about... And Roothy that a mullet mate ...short at the side long in the back, you love it
Strahan is the best place in the world to have half a cray in front of the little cafe. When I was about 10 you could go into a small cafe anywhere in a coastal town like Bicheno, Stanley, Strahan, etc, and eat cray on a blue collar wage. How times change in 60 years, haha.
@@ivanolsen8596 Yep, luxury food nowadays. Mind you, 2 years ago the fishermen were getting much more than that on return to the dock, with all going to China. If you could find it in Melbourne it was $120.
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY Hey John. I remember years ago a DVD feature you did in the high country where the 4wd action camera car (which was an ex police troopy) snapped a front CV on a track and you drove the thing back out in 2wd ..... I'm sure you will recall.... I've been trying to find a copy of that to show to the missus can you re-post that sometime please if it's still in the archives?
@@thewhiteoxoverland gday mate, roothy uploaded it about 8 months ago, the episode is called something like “WAHALLA BOUND - ROCKING THE VICTORIAN HIGH COUNTRY”. Cheers

How good is otis!!
Back before all the insta trendy soy bean lattes from the city’s deciding to take up 4wding as a new hobby.
What a magnificent 4WD adventure...I though quicksand it is just a myth, glad to see a real one in 4WD adventure.
Such a great old clip.
Roothy, you're a champion among men!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stu can you ring the Handbrake and tell her that????

I remember this video was the reason I brought my first 4x4 my little mega zookie😉 . And it's blue🤣😂
crikey this goes waaay back! not many people would remember milo 1 as a full size troopy!
Thank you for using chapters
Anyone notice that when our Tassie chef says just a smidgen of an ingredient..... he actually means a smidgen. 😂
Looks like Milo is a little longer than I've seen b4
Reeving across the rails is a recipe to fold your frame. The sling tension across that center point will be 4x line pull don't do that
Note the steam pipe winch mount between the frame rails to prevent exactly that - good pick up!!
Not sure when this was filmed, but would love to know more about that Suzuki walk around would be awsome. Keep it up tho guys.
Love watching the old episodes where they weren’t shilling all that crap Kings gear
Those crays ❤
Looks like a young Pat Callahan to me..
Was thinking just that. Checked the comments if anyone thought the same.
Back before RUclips!
what year was this filmed? nice to see some old trucks
is that hyper modified jimny?
