Maciej Dukacz this is also normally my mantra. I'm working on other lure prototypes at the moment. Once finalize making a 3d carved scale profile option would be awesome. I am already setup for molding once i have lure finalized.

I just switched over to maple and ash... both of them carve well but hands down the maple seems to give me the best results.

Have you ever tried using a rotary tool like a dremel to carve out your scales? Would go much faster.
