Ironically, Apotheosis Veil is a bad choice running Prismatic on Warlocks. You don't have access to fusion grenade with double explosions, the Threadling Grenade is ok but not great because we don't have Thread of Evolution or Mindspin Invocation to consume them, not to mention Helion is bugged while using Song of Flame. It's much better to grind a Verity + Innermost Light class item for support with mini novas or Verity + Star-Eater class item for raw damage
Fyi, Helion is bugged (or maybe acting as intended) when in "buffed" star eater super...assuming you are using Song of Flame. Helion will override the buffed snap/grenade scorch damage provided by star eaters. So don't pop your class ability (Helion) while in / or just before you pop your super. Just pop super, do damage; once super is done pop Helion and do Apo grenade/snap spam.
So you're saying that the ignition that would usually be a "star eater ignition" and the scorch that would usually be "star eater scorch" get overridden when you have helion being the first instance of scorching a target after the target ignites or when you first start your song of flame super assuming the target has not already been scorched?
@@jackburkel4119 as far as I understand what is going on: if Hellion's scorch leads to the final scorched needed to ignite, then it will be at a reduced damage since Hellion isn't buffed by star-eaters. If Hellion isn't used then every ignition will be at the "star-eater" buffed scorch and ignition values. It's hard to test, but what was determined is that if Hellion is used you will get lower damage.
@@kornboards yeah that checks out because there's been similar interactions in the past. It's a similar interaction with teammates that have scorch, where in that case it was whoever applied scorch to the target FIRST gets the ignition damage, regardless of who caps off the scorch stacks at 100. My assumption is it's a similar interaction with helion. Uffda. That really blows considering how many little nuances like this there are that were introduced in the final shape. I hope they take notice of all of them, but there's so many it's discouraging to expect it to be fixed any time soon to say the least.
Might be worth considering weavers call instead as is serves a similar function and does not interfere. Also very spammable, and unlocks the strand passives.
Throw storm grenade to jolt but also if you don’t wanna run tractor, your prismatic grenades to a lower tier debuff but something nice to know if you still just want the debuff and don’t want to have that as your exotic
build also works great solo, just switch tractor cannon out for legend of acrius, the snaps during your super do great damage and also proc trench barrel on acrius
I would be curious to test out if swapping hellion for bleak watcher, Pop one next to the boss to prock the facet of whatever it’s called that gives you bonus damage against darkness debuffed targets and then doing the rotation would do even more damage.
Apotheosis is overrated on Prismatic. None of what makes it good on other subclasses is on Prismatic. You're better off with Osmiomancy or Inmost Light in that slot.
It’s worth it if you have Euphony, that rotation is only slightly less than with Apotheosis on strand. Plus you get star eater to boost the super’s damage.
@@Backsquatch that would be a point of debate, IL or Osmio offer far better neutral gameplay for most play styles, in the scenario you are taking about you have no stacks of spindle going into a DPS phase so you do the rift - melee - nade - super then nade spam. First issue star eater does not apply the dmg buff to threadlings and they are a large portion of the supers dmg. Second issue is what if you don't have your super and or star eater 6 stacks you don't get a huge benefit where IL and Osmio have a far higher if not to the point of 100% uptime... So in the case of spindle stacks I can get to the cap of 25 before any damage phase and have a far better pre and post super gameplay loop. Osmio gets 20% refund for each threadling that hits and if you pair it with Starfire it's spam city. Last issue prismatic does not have thread of evolution that will buff all threadlings and honestly if you are not strand and trying to use the raid exotic to its fullest you are doing it wrong. Wall of text I know but I welcome any counter points you have in case I need to educate myself.
Apotheosis is nice, but I prefer Osmiomancy + Star-eater. In harder content like GMs you can easily get your grenade back. I recently got Inmost Light + Verity, and it also feels really good for ability spam.
Make it strand oriented for Euphony if you have it. If not, then nova would be good with whatever your personal choice of dps would be, potentially Microcosm due to the damage buff from the instant super. Euphony is my personal choice and it’s crazy with this bond
@@Mannybo209 if you want to spam nades yes, osmio makes it to every nade hit gives recharge, starfire gives recharge on empowered weapon kills, it’s on point. honestly Osmio + any strong second choice is amazing, same with inmost light, same with Apotheosis. The only issue you will find is that some exotics like get away artist, necrotic grips, speakers sight, the maxia chest and others can over shadow the warlock class exotic. Edit: for got to say verty is also really strong if you have the correct weapons, as if you like vortex the graviton lance / buried bloodline seems to be made for a osmio or IML or Apothio + Verty.

I've been farming for this role for almost a week I have 44 class items and still haven't ran into it and all of my class items came from chests lol probably have 20 hours invested into farming chests
The big question is how long did it take you to farm it because I've literally spent all day farming the landing and I've gotten like 20 and still no luck
I don’t have Apo + SE but I can vouch for Osmio + SE, if grenades kill they give Devour if they don’t kill I still get my grenade back. Specially good with weaken void nades fragment for great weaken uptime
Honestly Apo is over rated, Inmost light is strong, osmio is strong, I am not saying apo is not strong I am saying it is not the be all end all for every warlock build.
I got apotheosis and star eater roll today after 5 chests in the landing total fluke with the solar surge this week I pair it with some solar weapons apex bait switch and when I proced my super when I was x6 and the. Follow with my weapons mixing it in then did my prismatic it’s melting boss gm was. super easy dungeon master of grasp got like over. 3.5 million. On boss total blast so far I see people downplaying the roll I would say if you get it masterwork it guys it’s a keeper for your warlock for sure

Just curious, why not run Vortex Grenades with Threaded Needle paired with Facets of Courage and Devotion? It gives passive damage from Unravel that would surpass Jolt while boosting Nova Bomb or Song of Flame and allow dipping into the seasonal artifact. And it could free up using a DPS heavy instead of Tractor Cannon.
That's my god roll. Maybe HOIL and star eaters. Apotheosis just isn't as appealing to me as it is for some people. No touch of flame boosted fusions is a big downer for me. Warlock spamming arc nades just isn't as good after a super imo.

youre trading poison damage that sure is available when youre melle is but youre giving up essentially a second super/transcendence.... once you pop song of flame and spam your super and it ends you get about 9 seconds of grenade and melle.charge that although theyre not as strong as your super abilities but still pump out major DPS. and then you can pop transcendence for a 3rd round of ability spam and if you set it up just right you can just about have your super again by the time you complete your transcendence spam.
They need to add more sources for exotic class items, idk whats wrong with chests since past week,im barely getting any from them when I used to get about 2-3 in 40 mins

Its better to run nova bomb. With the artifact mods it can do a million damage. Song of flame does about 1.2 million overall but most DPS phases dont last long enough for you to use the entire super plus ability spam after. Nova is a straight up million of the bat and then you can spam abilities and fusion rifles shots.

So I randomly stumbled on some key binding settings that will literally change the game for Warlocks when using incinerator snap. I used to do that "snapping at the feet to get the ignition to pop off" method but with varying success due to that cursed LUNGE. Ultimately switching to celestial fire for consistency. But since the launch of the final shape and warlocks being condemned to using just the snap on prismatic, I had to figure something out. Then I thought: I wonder if I could key bind the melee and powered melee separately. TURNS OUT YOU FCKING CAN!!! ( at least for PC players since I play on PC) What you wanna do: go into your key bind settings and look for the "melee" keybind, You'll notice there are three options. Powered, Normal and AUTOMATIC. THe game has it set to automatic by default. Change your key bind so that you have one button for AUTOMATIC Melee and the other for your POWERED MELEE. Now go have fun
unbind auto melee, and bind both powered and basic melee to the same button, and it'll prioritize your powered melee regardless of distance between you and an enemy
Rest, you arent benefitting from the Elemental Siphon mod to make Ionic Traces because it requires weapons matching your super and you're running Arc weapons, all of your traces are purely from Facet of Awakening.
In the very first clip when his super runs out he used one melee then just shoots his gun. That tells you all you need to know about apotheosis on prismatic.

One two punch doesn’t work with song of flame melee, but you can use a trench barrel aggressive shotgun in the rotation instead. Just spam snaps, the grenade is garbage.

FYI there’s been talk where hellion will down your damage cause it’s not super and it does scorch over write

For me, it's good for Phase Damage.. like i gonna switch to it and pop my super, then after super ends, i switch back to my own class item.
threadling nades doesnt do more damage than storm nades?
Song of flame + star eater is way more balance than starfire protocol before nerf.

you cant use transcendence if you are on your super and if u use transcendence the pop your super song of flame overrides transcendence

No Hesitation and Area denial grenade launcher should be standard on all prismatic warlock builds

This build does not fit in general scenarios, my personal god roll is more preferred to Osmiomancy with star eater.
Hoil/star eaters or necrotic/star eaters is better. Osmio is just ehh

Heart and star is a good roll and I got that, very fun plus heart also boosts super energy regeneration I believe too
