i love emarosa. they do such a good job live, jonny has such an amazing voice. when he gets to "i'm the boy that sets your girl on fire" i melt. its so amazing. but on the album version. he doesn't do the quiet part! this is still good though =]
both are relatively the same except for the fact one has a dude screaming. Emarosa has guitar work that focuses more along the ambient side of things, giving them a very airy sound, as apposed to straight picking and strumming like DGD. Both bands have quite similiar qualities.
hardly any ppl knew who the fuck emarosa was before jonny. they had like barely over 20,000 friends. now they have over 55,000...oooyeah old shit is wayyy better lol

Chiodos, blessthefall and alesana can't possibly sound like this. Chiodos has a theme, a very dancy sound to their newer album and a very fantasy style thing for their previous. Blessthefall is definitely more aggressive than this. And Johnny doesn't scream in Emarosa. The other bands have screaming.

Johnny is a great singer and he may be a better technical singer than Anthony Green but Green has a MUCH more unique voice than Johnny. Also, Craig Owens is straight up nasty too especially considering the fact that he usually does a job live with the screaming and singing (He is already one of the best out there at singing and with his decent screaming ability, he is easily the best scream/singing combo out there)
the members have christian beliefs...but the band is not christian...jonny craig (lead singer) is atheist...they make music because they love it, they arent trying to shove their beliefs down anyones throat

if you like Underoath, listen to a band called Oh Sleeper, they are great and the sound isn't too far from eachother.
