I played with them at Battle of the Bands in high school back when their name used to be Corsets Are Cages. They also played some epic show which was seriously unbelievable with Phlegathon with their old line up... my favorite showing I've been to... fuck warp tour.
This is so EPIC!!! Theres so much energy that this performance let off. And so much vibing. Some fans were out there that loved Emarosa's new members...Some that hated it. And Im sure jonny was trying to make the greatest performance since DGD just to show them up. Even though he literally looked like a piece of poop. And im sure the former members were stressing out on how the outcome of adding jonny and the "screamer" to the band would be.
i think you just have to look at new and old emarosa as 2 totally different bands. ever since jonny joined, their sound took a drastic change. i love both the new and the old stuff, but it'd be cool if they wrote a few more songs like the old emarosa.

And finally Blessthefalls singer Craig Mabbit filled in for A skylitdrive just like how Johnny filled in too. Neither are a perm member, infact a skylit drive has a new singer named Jag. good stuff, replica of their old singer so thats good.
Actually, if you go to Chris' new band "Agraceful". He didn't get kicked out of the band, he's christian and didn't like where the band was going. So he left to create the new project. Jonny, the singer for emarosa now, got kicked out of "Dance Gavin Dance". Rumors ar because he's a drunk and pill popper. Those are just rumors, it's still publicly unknown as to why he was kicked out. That should clear things up =D

someone who was at the show said that the venue was completely sold out and there was hardly any room to move (as you can c)...it was jonny's first show so you can imagine why it was crowded
jon and eric did leave dgd. but i saw dgd live at some last week and they were amazing with their new vocalist (the guitarist took over screaming and he sounds good) emarosa's new album also sounds really good, just very different. so, neither of these bands broke up, they just have adjusted their sounds (one moreso than the other).
I agree with JumperBaby91. Johnny has prolly the most amazing voice, i mean he has so much soul is his voice and he made DGD but the music was sick too, and yes Emarosa kicks ass and i cant wait to here johnny on their new shit, but he was MUCH better off in DGD, im glad i got to see them one more time before johnny left! Btw it was more of an alcohol problem that Jonny had, when he was in Dance Gavin Dance he would randomly quit the band and they would just let him back in when he sobered up. This went on until the band finally decided to not let him back, which led to them finding a new vocalist, etc.
chea, he used to but left/kicked out do to drug addiction and Alcaholism but he says he didn't like the vibes from the other guys which could be true considering hes from Washington and theyre from Sacremento hes got a hell of a voice
Yes, I am serious 56tony. I'm not going to argue with you over who is the better vocalist, as I smell a hint of bias in the air. All I was trying to express was the fact that they should present themselves as being the new Emarosa, with their new sound, instead of throwing the old Emarosa at us with the new vocalist, as though we are to compare the two in order to find for ourselves whether there'll be any future for the band or not.
I think they sound just like they are, meaning Dance gavin dance vocals with emarosa guitars/drums etc. Idk how much I like jonny in Emarosa just yet, DGD will never be the same now tho :/

4 of the songs on relativy were made when chris was still in the band and when jonny wasnt there yet...jonny craig singing is the only real change made, he sings..will,er,jonas,jordan have/always make the beats and jonny just puts his poems into it...jonny screams better than ian as a lot of ppl know but chris roberts has screamed w/ jonny craig pretty good in some videos, im making the point Emarosa didnt change, just the singer minus jonny not risking fucking up his voice w/ screams

I never noticed he could scream, even if he can I actually wouldn't like him to considering I like his voice and people who scream generally over time mess up their vocal chords pretty bad so he may not sound the same.

I am sorry but I have to beg to differ. I really think Kurt is a great addition to DGD, and Jonny was a genious in the band, and Kurt is doing a Heck of a job replacing him. Where it may not sound like how Jonny sang it, Kurt still does a heck of a job. I think everything worked out. I like new DGD, new Emarosa better and I LOVE Agraceful (old Emarosa vocalists new band!) Everything worked IMO!
This was right after he got into the band, just like kurt couldn't sing dance gavin dance's older songs properly neither could jonny sing emarosa's older songs.
