I the idea of re-using from plastic recyclables. - I super glued a bread clip, placing the bread clip hole over the vertical blind's hole to reinforce. - Use a binder clip to hold the pieces together 10-15min to let the super glue dry. - Cut the excess plastic off of the bread clip so that it's flush with the top of the blind. - Install the blind and you're done!
First thing this morning I fell because my office chair broke and so I had to butt scoot out the patio door to get to some steps so i could stand up again. On the way back inside one of the slats broke off my vertical blinds and I didnt get around to youtube fixes until tonight. I watched several videos and yours was the best. I had some white plastic from my crafting supplies and so I used that...heavier than your clear plastic...glued both sides using Loktite brush on super glue. Then I dusted it with baking soda to harden it. Then I sealed the top edge with some white duck tape I had but I didnt tape over the slot section. I am an old lady and not very handy but sonofagun it worked. I was able to get the repaired slat into the holder, too. Couldnt believe it. Thank you sooo much. A very nice ending to my crappy morning.
Nice approach - I was going to try using the clear tabs for hanging folders but I ended going with the paper clip method w/Gorilla tape and then using white duc tape to cover.
I did a lazier method and just got some white duct tape and stuck a little strip along each top then reneforced the ones not broken yet too hopefully prevent the others from breaking. I thought about doing a little plastic soldering and zip tie platic...thatd work too but probably take all day long to do.
Ive always made a hole on each side then bridge it together with thread then super glue the thread. Or use thing gauge wire with the two holes then wrap around the inside for a tight fit but make sure you put it in carefully since these blind are so brittle.
Hi I have these same exact blinds and my dog had chewed them up on the ends🤦♀️ and I have looked everywhere and can not find them and I don’t know anything about them other than the color and pattern because when I bought my home they where here. Anyways do you happen to know who makes these or what brand they are ?

Nice clean fix
One of the best vertical blind repairs I’ve seen. Will try this method and see how long it lasts.
Awesome video. Tried using packing tape but it didn't work too long. Thanx!
White duct tape works tho...definitely not packing tape on plastic that stuff won't stick on anything but cardboard or paper

How do you replace broken clips?
They cost pennies to buy replacements, actually blind company sent mine for free.
Good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Just what I was looking for. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Good idea thanks for this video.
I would take the broken blind, flip it upside down, and using a hot nail, just burn thru the blind. All youll need is a lighter and a nail.
I like the idea.
