Thank you for watching🙏 Fresno is my home town. Still have lots of family there. Going there tomorrow for my hair cut.😆EKT, Magnolia, Louie's nursery are my three favorite place to shop for fruit trees every time I am in Southern California.
I like this nursery so much because they have what I want that’s mango and avocado . I live in this area and didn’t know that we have a good nursery nearby until I watch your video . Thank you for sharing
@@donchamreun2266 Thank you for watching 🙏another nursery that I also like to shop at is Magnolia Garden nursery it is not far from EKT. It was not on this visit.
@@Betty599 I mention those 5, because of out of 150 pawpaw cultivars these 5 are in the top 20 in every category: Growth vigor, Yields, Sweetness, Aroma intensity, Flavor Complexity.
@@Pay-It_Forward thank you for the info. I just noticed this. I will be heading down to Southern California after the holiday. I will check with some of my favorite nursery to see if they carried them.
@@Betty599Nyomi's Delicious is another good option. Very vigorous & more heat tolerant than 95% of the cultivars, 27°Brix, mild yet complex flavor & lower chill hours than most. Feel free to tag me when making a decision. Especially if they don't have these. I'm knowledgeable about the top 60 or so cultivars of Asimina triloba pawpaw.
@@trinhnguyen-ls6hd thank you for watching 🙏 it is nice to see Vietnamese watching my RUclips. I am also Vietnamese. Visalia is zone 9B you should not have any issue. Not sure if you have clay soil or sandy soil. If you have clay soil, you have to mix with 50% sand and plant it on a mound then you would be fine. You might need protection in the winter watch my other video on how to prepare a hole for a mango and avocado trees tropical fruit trees. Sugar apple will need protection in the winter. I also have Atemoya and Cherimoya planted on my property without protection because I plan all my tree on a mound with 50% sand mix with native soil. I will do a new video of my Atemoya and Cheremoya tree in Paso Robles. I am in zone 9a .
Thank you for watching🙏I do have an Orange Sherbet Mango planted in ground a month ago. I am keeping my fingers crossed mango will go here. Will keep you updated on all of my Mango trees.
@@Betty599 Sherbet Mango should do very well there. they are thriving in Phoenix. What planting zone are you in? Also Orange Sherbet is PolyEmbryonic, therefore grows true from seed.
@@Betty599 Hope it's planted near wind breaks & where it gets winter sun. I would provide it protection when it's going to get below 27F. They experience die back at 25F. trunk is the most important thing to protect. You have had mangos surviving a zone 9a winter?
@ this is the first time I’m planting mango. All of my avocado trees survive temperature in 9a without protection, including bougainvillea, and all my citrus survive without protection I am hoping mango would also survive. 🤞My elevation is 2000. I’m planting it on a mound with 50% sand mix with native soil and heavy gypsum. All of my sensitive avocados varieties from Florida is surviving zone 9a without protection. I am protecting the mango trees until it get a little more mature.
I really like this nursery. I bought several plants from them. I bought a sapodilla, longan, and guava. I drove there from Fresno area
