      Perhaps this rubber gives him the confidence to do that because, as he says, he doesn't feel like the ball is going to fly off the end if he rips into it. Maybe this is a good rubber for him to use in competition.

    Hello Dan, thank you for posting this review. It would have been awesome if you would compared the 7, 9 and X versions together as there is a huge fan base for the entire Rakza series. Also, you have reviewed control oriented rubbers in the past. I was very inclined to check how Rakza stacks up against other control oriented rubbers like Xiom Vega X or Butterfly Rozena. Another tip here is that how rubbers pair up with Limba top blades Vs. Koto top blades. This changes the performance and output as well.

  • @avengermm3322
    @avengermm3322 3 года назад +2

    You can find speed and spin in the Soft version of the Rakza 7. I'm playing with it in my forehand, and I found that I produce more spin with my Rakza 7 Soft than when I tried out an MX-P. I think it would be interesting for you to have a look at this rubber, now that you played with the "normal" version.

    • @C0BEX
      @C0BEX 3 года назад +1

      You must be doing something wrong. The Soft version can only be faster or spinnier if you can't compress the normal version good enough.

    • @avengermm3322
      @avengermm3322 3 года назад +1

      @@C0BEX I don't see what I could do wrong by giving both rubbers the same tests. I've played with both (R7Soft and MX-P) for at least 2 hours and this is what came out for me. I've tried them both on the exact same blade too. And I get more speed and more spin out of the Rakza than I get out of the MX-P.

    • @C0BEX
      @C0BEX 3 года назад +2

      @@avengermm3322 Can't say anything about MX-P. But I played both Rakza 7 standard and Soft not just for some hours, but I went through a couple of sheets. The standard version is definitely faster and has higher spin potential than the soft. While at the same time it is easier to access spin on the soft, thats why it is so popular on the backhand.

    • @blueheart9873
      @blueheart9873 2 года назад

      @@C0BEX I agree. People who claim Rakza 7 is not that spinny are doing something wrong. It is way spinnier than MX-P first of all, and softer sponges give more dwell time to make it easier to produce spin but harder sponges produces more as you hit harder (it has a higher "spin ceiling")

      @@vladimirstudnicka4343 boosting such a great rubber doesn't make real sense. i don't like rubbers that play by themselves. i'm also a H3 player and Rakza Z is exactly what i need to have the boosted H3 feeling with a bit more punch. absolutely perfect for H3 lovers. the only reason i would boost it is, if it comes with an inward curled sponge. which means the rubber lost a bit of freshness. a little layer of booster to bring it back flat and ready to go.

    Hi TTD! How does the Rakza 7 compare to the Rakza 7 Soft for backhand? My backhands are very strong, and my coach recommended the Rakza 7 but I accidentally got the Soft version. The thing is now I’ve gotten used to the Soft so I’m not sure whether to get the soft again or get the normal version. What are your thoughts on this?

      A little late, but I use the regular on my backhand. And I can't ask for any better rubber for my bh. It's very affordable too. People that want "faster faster" stuff don't know what they are talking about, unless they are someone rated USATT 2200+
      You are not losing points because your "bh rubber isn't faster enough" most of the times.

      Depends on how strong your BH is. The soft version is easier to play but if you feel like the ball sinks too far into the rubber and loses a bit of speed than I'd suggest going for the regular version. As a BH dominant player I like the regular version more because I tend to do a lot of hard flicks and opening spins with BH and not play very passive on that side

    Rakza 7 was good with cellulo. now you have to go X or Z. and they are better than Tenergy IMO. spin is there, more control and better price. what else? they also go with so many blades, they're actually the most versatile rubbers. if you are a powerful player, they'll reward you for that. if you like to play spinny game, they'll be there too!

    It appears that Dan is finally learning a backhand after working with Dimi.

    You looked a bit like Chinese players with that kind of control. I think their rubbers are more allround as well.

    What I like most about Rakza 7 on BH is that it really keeps the pressure even at mid and far distance from the table. It's also really good for a 3rd/4th ball attack with the amounts of spin and precision it has. It's not that good for hard topspin shots on the FH cause it slightly lacks power in this area

    I had used Rakza 7 for a few years and then gave Rakza Z a try. Could you review Rakza Z and Rakza Z extra hard. I'm liking both the Z and Z extra hard, not sure which one I like best but the Z extra hard is noticeably heavier.
