I'm going to be honest, this door sucks. ITS SO LOUD.
That's alright, it does its job and some sacrifices have to be made. Theoretically it could be done without the use of as many pistons (only 2 for the two water sources that need to be floating) but it'd likely be slower. Idk, this was hastily scrapped together when I had the idea.
Also let me know if someone else did it better.
Music: Floating Trees, Cat, by C418
Oh also theres another person who made a different design so go check them out if you're looking for an alternative setup: • Automatic second door ...
    Schematic: drive.google.com/file/d/1oQmB...
I have just been informed by a friend of mine that all the mods I use have actually been updated and I'm just dumb. Woops. Ill soon update.
    Texture Pack Details:
Vanilla Tweaks(This affects mainly everything involved with 3D-ifying components and see through scaffolding and the Dark Mode GUI), Ph1lza’s Diamond Netherite Highlights Pack, some random netherite elytra pack you can probably find by googling.
Shader Details: I use Complimentary Reimagined, on the mod Iris Shaders. Complimentary Shaders is Similar and also is great.
Mod Details: [1.19.2] Carpet, Carpet TIS Addition, Tweakaroo, TweakerMore, World Edit, Litematica, MiniHUD, Zoomify, Sodium, Indium, Sodium Extra, Iris Shaders, Continuity, Isometric Renders, Pistorder, YetAnotherConfigLib, Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin, Mod Menu, owo-lib, MaLiLib.

This is great, but I feel like the redstone line above the doors really limits where you can use it, since you have to have some sort of blocks 3 blocks above to hide it. On the other hand, this is exactly how I expect double doors to already function in game, so this is something I would actually build.

    • @Ausxh
      @Ausxh 10 месяцев назад +12

You can actually get rid of the redstone line above the doors with a simple modification to the design, by using stairs instead of slabs below the doors: ruclips.net/video/3UgvFHHY2BQ/видео.html
My design does add the delay from the redstone torches though, which might not be what you want. I'm otherwise unaware of how to supply power upwards, but I'm sure someone else could probably come up with an improvement.

Never mind it's not silent, there's just no game sound. Haha

(dont mind my lack of knowledge for loyalty tridents I rarely use them in survival worlds) I think you should make a specific player detector using loyalty tridents. I thought of the idea a while ago and I tried to make but then I realized that they phase through blocks and I basically just gave up there (they also don't have a limit for coming back to you as long as they are loaded(I could be wrong on that)so that make it harder). so yeah.. its probably impossible. could be worth a shot.

(The unstable mechanisms should all be unique, eg. you can't just alternate 2 different states until infinity.)

not sure if this really fits your channel but have you seen update skipping? the machine that lets you do it only takes up like a 2x3 area and its basically diet update suppression, it lets you suppress updates but only chained ones like a nether portal breaking, snow layers breaking, or frosted ice breaking, its cool though because you can make floating rails and ladders, you can make budded lava/sponges, and you can even make a pether nortal (although it requires some puzzle solving to figure out)

Supposedly, yes. However in this really weird one specific circumstance, the water that gets updated by the door doesnt change states. It only generates more flowing water underneath. Since this new water doesnt change the state of the source in anyway, it doesnt cause the other source to update.

      2) get materials and equipped to survive in -Y
      3) dig down to deepslate
      4) locate a deep dark
      5) raid it
      6) navigate back home in one piece
or, just build a small redstone normal door?
as explained by uploader already, they were "too lazy" to check if the mods they were using had updated compatibility.. sometimes what's prima facie the simple solution is actually masking the complexity of the larger picture. other times, people put a lot of work into avoiding work. often people enjoy overthinking or overengineering and aren't looking for a simple solution but an optimal one, under certain constraints or others.
