Something about the way the slime and honey "latch" with the door blocks on your 10x10 is extremely satisfying, especially since you sped it up to retract so smoothly! Holy crap.
Ya know, the massive diffrence in size is jut because the 10 by 10 uses slime and honey for the retraction whitch i would consider cheating if it wasn't so impressive how they pulled it of, or if someone like me was in any poison to do so in the first place.
the 4x4 is absolutely insane, I never thought the 0.45 4x4 would ever get that small (the other doors are amazing too, just the 4x4 being so fast and small blows my mind)

There should be a "Door Jam," like a game jam but for doors. Each competitor (or competitors...? if there are teams) have a limited amount of time (traditionally 48 hours) to design their door. Everybody is given the same NATURAL layout (as in, a cave structure with some unexpected block geometry), perhaps voted on like a game jam theme. Extra blocks jutting out from the walls could be part of the door, or just used to hide sneaky pistons. Then participants score other entries to ultimately determine the winner.
These are some great picks, and it actually is hard to find vids like this. Also, you absolutely earned the choice for best 10x10. I would also consider it to be the large piston door (6x6 and up) ever made. It is so beautiful, and I absolutely plan on building it in survival(once I get a PC and can play Java edition again).

Honestly, those slime grabbers do actually look really cool. They give the door a kind of hangar-feel to them, because most of those have sliding doors as well.
I really like the way you presented those piston doors judging a bit by parameters of efficiency but at the end judges by the artistical side of things, I like to see this side of creative freedoms that are possible by people that go deep into making redstone contraptions

I personally love a 3x3 spiral piston door I built from a yt video. it goes in a spiral pattern, and it’s super easy to build and it’s small. 2 blocks wide as well
Someone should make a "History of x speedrun" type video on piston doors. Seems like there's been enough innovations and discoveries in redstone and doors to make an entertaining video.
It would be cool to see how the copper bulbs will be able to improve the time of this doors. I'm sure the Minecraft tehnical community will find a way to improve the door speed
Anyone who builds these things and fully understands them better be eventually working on novel software or robotics at some huge tech company, because it's just a mindbending bit of engineering to put this together so seamlessly and densely packed.
I think it would be really cool if you could use slime blocks by right clicking on any block, so that when you add another block on the slimed side, it will stick together with the other block. Basically, acting like glue
I wonder if you could design a program to brute force layouts of redstone components, until it arrives upon designs which are faster/more compact for any given X by Y layout piston door. and u can stipulate conditions such as seamless yes/no, etc

I like the designs' clean and gradual descent into irreality. The leaves and scaffold blocks scattered seemingly at random really sells the effect.

Yah, Bedrock edition has a LOT of problems as compared to Java. Bedrock's redstone is said to be "easier" to understand tho.

Copper bulbs won't make a significant difference. They are about as useful as noteblocks.
