Gavin obviously has a very difficult job when it comes to these tight slow mo shots but Dan has to physically perform on every single shoot and keep the whole thing in frame the best he can just by guessing where the edges of the shot are. I applaud your efforts Daniel

i love that gavin has the talent to be one of the best slow-motion cinematographers in the industry and instead he get yelled at by his coworkers for accidentally killing them in video games and hits jello with a tennis racket in his backyard
In fairness he has also directed slowmo shots for hollywood stuff. He did great in Dredd
He has indeed worked on several films. If you havent already, you should watch that video where these guys talk about Hollywood slow mo. It's on a different channel but cant recall which
@@IDKndIDK I've seen it! I know that Gav worked on movies in the past--what I meant was that he easily could've carried on in that career field and furthered his career, but chose not to instead!

That's a really good idea!
They’d have to leave the green jelly out and shoot it against a greenscreen. Even then, you would see the outline of the racket coming in front of the jelly before it goes through. And if they swung it from behind towards camera, you’d see the outline of it after the jelly has gone through. Don’t think there’s any way to greenscreen it perfectly.
@@AWSVids they could rotoscope it, but it would take ages.

I slowed it down by half to get an even slower view at 25fps. Then I realized that Dan's reaction at half speed is a little disturbing and probably not appropriate for children... Start at 6:32 at half speed to see what I mean.🤪😂
