Dude, your solution is literally to use Bluetooth? Did you forget what video you were making? The older Xbox one controllers DO NOT have Bluetooth so that's not a viable solution.
For anyone struggling, I managed to make this work! My issue was that my phone (Samsung S10+) was not recognising my Xbox One controller when connected with the OTG adapter. I was connecting it with an official xbox Micro USB wire/cable. To test that my cable worked, I connected it (wired) to my PC and went to the Xbox accessories app on windows 10. There it recognised my controller and I played around with the settings (prompted it to search for an update even though it was on the latest firmware, etc.) Following this, I simply took the cable out of my PC and reinserted it back into the OTG adapter on my phone and for some reason it recognised it immediately and now works whenever I take it out and reinsert!
Ninoky43 did you hold the pair button until it flashes like in the video also turn you bluetooth on and off and if that doesnt work you device might not have the latest version of bluetooth thats the only other answer
instead of an adapter, i just bought a short 6 inch cable that directly connects the two, you can bypass the adapter entirely. cable is like 4 bucks. if anyone needs cable info, it is just an otg usb c to micro usb cable
The otg adapter doesn't just allow USB to plug into USBC. It allows the phone to be recognized as the "host" instead of the "device". If you plug a phone into a laptop via a regular USB to c cable it the phone is the device and the laptop is the host. So it treats the phone as a flash drive of sorts. So with a otg you can plug a mouse into your tablet and it should be usable because the id pin is connected to the GND and allows the phone to be recognized as the host. It's not as complicated as it seems, but at the same time, it's way harder than it should be to explain. LOL
@@sebrestrepo1 connect controller to a windows pc and download the xbox accessories app in the store on windows. Connect controller to pc using usb and choose the controller inside the app to update it.

Gaming on android via bluetooth is just gonna be laggy as hell though. I cant see a benefit of using a wired controller for much else other than gaming so I'd sort of make that clear from the get go of the video. Thanks for trying, but bluetooth just sucks big time on android devices.

@Ivan Gaona the controller I got has extra buttons on the grips of the back. But the cable that came with it was a transfer only cable. However I never tested the cable but on contrary to what is what things or events are...only heaven know what I usually do with controllers.
Since I'm using an actual xbox wired controller not a wireless one I cant do this since there is no way for my controller to gain any power to work so yeah I'm abit stuck just bought an adapter for nothing
Maybe you guys should figure out if your phone's can support USB and charging at the same time to even make sure it's worth buying the cable in the first place Duh

BUT, it does work with just a USB cable and adapter without having Bluetooth on. I've tested this myself without Bluetooth and even batteries in my controller and it works on both my Note 9 and S10 plus. It took me a min to find a USB cable around the house that will transfer data but it works. The USB cable you are using has to have data transfer capability. (not all the time, but usually a thicker cord than other USB cables). It's more than likely the USB cable you are using. Good luck, hope this helped 😁
Yes thank you. I tried using my normal old phone charging cable but it didn't work. This was also through a 8 in 1 usb hub on a s10. So I used the thicker usb cable that has data transfer that came with my hp prime calculator. It worked straight away. Thanks for your help. 😊
Wired controller works very well on Emulators,Only selected Games on PlayStore and AppStore will work on wired method connection,it's much faster than Bluetooth,How ever if your using a Bluetooth controller via OTG wired, The controller will absorb some of the Phone or Tablet percentage of the Battery thru charging the controller,it's a disadvantage.The of USB is wird

But playing with Bluetooth has way too much delay, so I would rather play wired. Weitd how the devs work on Bluetooth Connection first before the wired wich is 100 times faster

Some of the xbox controllers dont have Bluetooth, so thats why Bluetooth can't find any devices, theres 2 types of controllers
The otg adapter doesn't just allow USB to plug into USBC. It allows the phone to be recognized as the "host" instead of the "device". For those with connection problem, update the controller software using a windows Pc, then try again the connection. Works for me.
