Isn't it so romantic to have a husband who helps with projects like these ? I love when mine does 🥰 it looks phenomenal ! Can't wait to see what you plant in the new area.
Love seeing you and your husband together in the video he should be in it more often but I know he feels kind of awkward but we love him you are so sweet together 🥰
Good job Josh! My Dad used to come in after working on our fruit trees, sweaty, scraped and exhausted…but he called it “ a good kind of tired “. Gonna be some grateful chickens!
I totally understand 'the good kind of tired' wish there was a bumper sticker with that phrase, it is so spot on for so many people whether it's physical or mental, somehow we all get a workout specific to our own needs, your Dad...definitely a good Man and you a good Daughter for remembering the better things/phrases in life : D
Props to Josh for getting that project pretty much done in two days. What a fun, long, tiring and super productive day. Your girls are going to be super happy. I remembered you mentioned hawks in your area; hope you put some netting on top to protect then during the day time. Egg rolls in a bowl seems easy and yum, and will soon be on the dinner menu at my home.
Can I safely say couple goals? Also, that is such a workout - we all know gardening is, but watching you guys lift and sift and rotate makes me feel energized, and also excited for when we start that hard work. There's just something about it being your thing, especially when done with your partner, that makes it so special. The run looks amazing for done in barely two days!!
Great job Josh! Glad to see Josh on camera. Your girls are so lucky to have you two for parents! Becky, you’re so cute with your girls, can clearly see you love them.
What a good hubby you have! That chicken run is AWESOME!! Your girls are going to LOVE being in there when they can't be in your garden tearing things up. And that dinner ... what a GREAT idea! Gonna have to try it :D
You two are awesome!!! Josh, you did a great job!! You shouldn't be camera shy. You do an awesome job and your wife is just the awesomeness!! God bless you both! Thank you for sharing your lives with us. We love ya!
I enjoyed this video! When you call your chickens “Girls” I had to laugh especially when they needed their “privacy”…it was too funny and cute! You and your Josh do make a good team (gotta be in the name) and I believe you having your meal prepared for lunch and then the prep work for dinner/supper was a huge plus for having a great working time through to the end of the day! I know that you know, but you have and belong to a wonderful family! Gale Flowers 🌸
Josh did a great job. Might want to consider an automatic door that opens each morning and closes. The 1870's homestead among others have installed. Works from battery and solar. It can also be programmed on your phone. Not terribly expensive. Really looking forward to your garden coming to life. Take care
So I know how busy you two are so I have a suggestion for you. Have you considered installing a automatic chicken door? They work wonderfully. Can set the time to open and or close. Most also have a light sensor so it will open and close with sunrise and sunset. Never have to worry about forgetting to close the door at night. Again, wonderful. Have a great day 🌤 😀 🐓👍
We used to run a hot wire a few inches off the ground around the outside of the chicken pen. It discourages raccoons, dogs, foxes, etc. That's a beautiful pen!
A easy DIY to pull a fence like the chicken fence tight is to use two 2X4 boards (or whatever you have that's the right size and strength) and a Come-Along. Wrap the end between the 2X4's, roll at least once and clamp together tightly so wire is held in place. Attach the Come-Along to a tree, vehicle or some stable point and the other to the ends of your 2X4'S and tighten evenly. While pulled tight you can attach to your T-posts. The Girls will love their new space!
What a wonderful space for your girls!!🐓I bet they love their new space! You both are so amazing!! I love egg roll in a bowl too.Thank you for sharing!!

Great job Josh! Becky you have a keeper with him, lol. You all did an amazing job, including Mom and Dad, plus you tackled ALL those onions! Giant accomplishments! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
If you drive metal tent pegs over the bottom of the fencing wire every couple of squares it assists in keeping the wire taunt and also helps to keep the chickens in and predators out. 😊 Looks awesome.

I love your chickens! They seem so sweet. I have to tell you, I literally gasped out loud when you tossed the cabbage core or "stalk" as I call it, into the trash! LOL!! I always asked my mom for the stalk when I was a kid. I would put salt on it and eat it. I've gotten lazy in my old age and now. I just buy the bagged slaw mix so no stalk to eat. It's great seeing your husband in these videos with you!

Josh did a great job on the chicken run. You may be tired today, but when you get ready to start planting, you will appreciate having everything cleared off. The egg roll in a bowl turned out great 👍
Thank Josh for being in front of the camera. Was a fun video!
Sis! Put the cabbage core & outer leaves in the broth bag too! We just upgraded our coop as well & im SO excited for the girls to have double the run we had. Keep it up💕
